Completely agree on the arbiter mechanic. Volatile cores are famous for oneshotting. Why would they recycle the visual asset for an object that you NEED to move away from, and reuse it as the marker for a safe spot 😂😂😂
Exactly. The game trains you over and over to NOT STAND IN THE CIRCLE WITH THE EXPLODING ORB INSIDE and then for this one instance it's the exact opposite?? So much of this game is exceptionally designed but that is such obviously terrible design that it tilted me me 😂
Realistically all they need to do is create a dome visual around the area. We have visual precedent for that protecting you in Doryani's fight, which as of now is also a neat continuity thing because you have to fight him to fight the arbiter.
@@Lolcohol Gotcha moments like this realistically only work when you can immediately re-attempt the fight. They are a cheeky way to catch you off guard, but there's nothing cheeky about "gotcha! go grind another 50 hours now for another attempt". And even then they are best used sparingly.
I didn't know as well before that clock stage speed up when more people in party. Had same WTF face on services when boss one tapped me with elegant finger move.

IMO this boss fight is really nice after you've learned the mechanics. The issues come from the high cost of entry and the mechanics not being intuitive. Also the fact that he bugs quite often and creates situations where it's literally impossible to survive. If you chill him before the beam and orb explosion combo for example it'll desync his attacks and his one shot will be impossible to dodge. He has a few possible desync issues like this. Also you can't pause in pinnacle bosses ;)
i did not sell my Audience with the King and then in the wisp stage, there was no wisps after the following the first one. Died 20secs later. Rip 7 Divines and Ritual has no value now. Boss fights with 1 try should not cost 7 divines and you have to do them to make the mechanic worth while. Curse you GGG for this!!!
There is a boss fight in act 2 (after this fight the big sandstorm gets summoned). In that fight a variation of those explosive balls show up, too, if I remember correctly.
It’s just like any boss fight, you learn the mechanics then it’s not that bad. Mechanics not being immediately obvious does not make it badly designed.
It's definitely trash to have "gotcha!" mechanics along side the 1-portal design. I love 90% of PoE2, but there's a few things that are really stupid. Fingers crossed it all gets worked out over the next 6-12 months.
I'm guessing somebody must already have told you but that attack did not damage per se, it's like the mod from T17 "hits take X% of your life and ES" (paraphrased)
i think that boon only work for normal boss? and im with you. that exploding ball. TBH super bait. we play all game every single monster. if there are circle on the ground you get out of it. i think this is the only boss to do the opposite. and there is no outline outside of the circle to indicate it will explode outside.
yeah i hate that arbiter fight too, portals should stay up, minus 3.5 div is too hardcore :S think they should revise that entire design approach as it kind of pushes people away from the endgame imo.
Is all of this in normal mode? I am curious as I am finding the reasons for having different leagues (SSF, hardcore) to be meaningless in practice. I think most gamers have some sense of completion, and it baffles me they thought PoE 2 was going to be an opportunity to expand the brand. That isn't a slight on lolcohol, got nothing but respect for people who can do this at a top-tier level. For now, will respect and enjoy from afar while hoping that GGG lets a few more people into the club.
Been playing your build with 122% MF, the build was so fun and strong at the same time. But I only have one third of your dmg on all skills and idk why
It might be a case of a few things like flat damage on Rings and Gloves, your weapon, the amount of Crit Bonus and Crit Chance you have? I think I speak about scaling damage in the build guide video!
what pisses me of the most, juicing in poe2 feels terrible i just run around an collect turrets big downgrade compared to poe1 Wish to see changes there aswell

Totally understandable. I'm 100% sure I would have quit until the next league if I didn't see a clip of the mechanic before fighting it 😂

The Arbiter fight has a unfair gotcha moment when you actually had to stand in the danger circle. How the hell am I supposed to guess this? xD
Yeah it's actually just terrible boss design which is weird because most bosses have great design

Does anyone know the Momentum support stone works with Flicker Strike ? It's supposed to add 40% damage, but I can't figure out if it works or not.

While its fun to get all these divines via rarity, we're all going to need them when GGG nerfs the shit out of grim and ES and we all need to regear.
I have 200 rarity and am lvl 96. I've seen 3 divs drop and lost one to a death 😢
