    Very helpful, and straight to the point. So can you basically use this to give someone "read-only" permission?

      you can limit access by setting these permissions however you will want to check to be sure what they can and cannot see and do

    Hello there, thank you for this helpful insights. If I may ask, kindly, after adding the user, can the QB desktop server synchronize, in real time, what the secondary user is entering ( during data entry ) that as an admin I may have an updated file from time to time in the course of such entries? Without having to log out ( as an admin) and log in (as the user )?

      yes, the updates of all users happen in real time - no need to log out or log back in

    Thank you! This has helped greatly. Can you add another user on another computer? IF so, how is this done?

      The computers have to be networked and mapped to the same database, and you would need another license.

    With the above, you are assuming the added users are using the same computer as the administrator. To have a more wholistic video, you need to include Mary and Susie's access from THEIR computer. How is that done?

      Mary and Susie cannot access from their computer unless the Administrator sets them up from his/her computer - only the Admin user can set up users

    What if I set up a user to have access during Multi-user mode and now I want to add this user to my additional license? I deleted this user to see if the option was available to "Add this user to my QuickBooks license" and it was not available.

      Hi Julie - I believe that you will have to purchase an additional license to add the user to your license.
