I'm just starting have a problem with how one dimensional he seems, don't get me wrong I love how dumb he is, Its why I started to like him in the first place and I don't want for that to go away entirely but I wish for him to have some character development, remember when we thought he was a typical dumb jock bully but he turned out to be a lovely sweetheart and became one of our greatest friends? I want that kind of stuff to happen with him again, I want to be blown away by his plotline! I want a Barnaby Side Quest!
It just seems like the developers said "Well everyone loves him just the way he is so we're not going to develop his personality at all anymore" And just when I started to have this dissatisfaction with his character arc Talbott came along and... goddamn! He's so interesting, witty and hard to get!
Like I said I still love love LOVE BarnaBae I just wish the developers would love him the same.

I was so freaking torn between Talbott and Barnaby. When it came to the choosing part, I saw Talbott and Barnaby right behind each other and thought the game was taunting me. I chose Barnaby though, he was just sitting there playing with the Bowtruckle... so I’m here to see Talbott’s

It's hard for me to pick between Barnaby and Talbott, but I'm interested in the fact that Barnaby said he wasn't afraid of a little competition...does that mean there's going to be a love triangle later on?
I also went on a date with Talbott, I fell in love with him the first time we had an interaction - he is such a great character! But since he wasn't an option for the Celestial Ball, MC went with Barnaby. This Date quest was aweful because of that... Because I had *the talk* with Barnaby, who was heartborken that MC rejected him for another date and he more or less confessed that he loved her so deeply! Dang, it made me feel soooooo bad... How could anyone enjoy a date when you leave Barnaby sad asking for hugs?!
And not only that! Talbott CONSTANTLY refered MC as his " *friend* ", like rubbing it to her face several times (and it was written in bold text aswell)! It felt like he didn't really wanted to be "more than friends" and only went on a date with MC beacuse she wanted it and "that's what friends do for eachother". He also refered Tonks and Charlie as "your friends" and because of that I didn't want them to come over and join us at our date, since I know Talbott dosn't like socializing (it was the same outcome anyway - Tonks apologize and tries to leave when she crashes the tea cups). I feel so *unsattisfied* after this quest and it made me so confused about Talbott's true feelings :(

@@anov1759 If it felt good when you had the date with Talbott, stick with that feeling! :D I felt unsatisfied due to the poor script for Talbott THIS time but I still love him though and he will always be my first choice. I hope Jam City goes in more depth next date. Like using Talbotts poetry skills for example and letting us chose date details based on our dates personalities :) I think the dating was not the right time for him, because he just got to the stage he accepted us as his friend, and maybe that's why he talked alot about that?

Well I don't blame them bc sometimes (especially for timed subquests like this) you never have enough energy to complete them before the quest ends I mean there were times you would have to wait like 3 hours just to start an 8 hour task on top of that and unfortunately not too many people can pay to speed things up so there is nodded versions out there for those that can't so they can still complete the same quests as people who can pay can now I may take a different view if this game was something you had to buy instead of being a free download bc then some could consider that stealing at least in my opinion
I absolutly adore Barnaby but i think i' m going to choose Talbott. I choose the bird as an Animagus form just bc he is one and I (as a Ravenclaw who plays a Slytherin in HM) would love to date this lovely Ravenclaw

You should’ve made sure that this person had chosen to to say they fancied talbott in flying solo because I wanted to see if there was any continuity from it, but if there wasn’t then the creators are just horrible at continuity
I went on a date with Talbott, and I told him I fancied him in the Flying Solo quest, but the date was exactly like this one either way. I really thought they would have the conversation something like "Remember that time I promised to tell you someday what I told you before I used Obliviate on you? Well... I fancy you Talbott!" xD
Really wish that would’ve happened, that just shows how bad the creators are at continuity, even though the first date would’ve been the best time to mention it
*sips tea* if that’s the case regarding pieces of content that are wip that’s just poor, but regarding content that’s wip and made months in advance even then these different people should know the game they’re making, it feels like they don’t, because a lot of stuff that have any correlation with each other are made months apart from each other. Though I’m no game dev I’m pretty it’s not that hard to look back into the game to something that was made months ago to see if I’m hitting any retcons, just goes to show how quantity over quality they are.
So this only happens when you pick barnaby as a date for the ball, how cute tho
