I wonder what happened next? Did the sisters build a relationship? Did the one sister who lived in the United States visit and stay in contact with her family?
What a weird situation.. its like she knows she was stolen but at the same time was likely raised by a loving family that didn't know this... I can't imagine knowing you were taken from your real parents by force but now spent all of your life with another family..
Nothing about this is normal. As a long lost twin also sold into the adoption industry, we deserve and demand justice for what was stolen from us. 25 years without my twin that we will never be able to get back. And the future only hold more obstacles created by language, culture, and geographical barriers. Imperialism and colonialism and white supremacy bred high demand for foreign babies, and you all turned us into products. May the empires fall and may we all find the justice we deserve.
what are you even talking about, how is "white supremacy" the reason for the "high demand for foreign babies"? if they were racist, the opposite would happen
The children should hug the father and mother .. they are separated and it is enough to torment the longing by the mother and father .. hopefully the relationship will continue
Having watched other stories on the one child families. I see now that it was an easy way for loc government officials or even local governments employees to make extra cash. They found a family that had more than one child, took it and then ransom the child back. If the family could pay the child was given back for a shot time and then taken again until they were bled dry and then the child was put into the adoption machine. That way they could look like they were doing there job make a little extra and then putting them in to the adoption system the higher up got their money from the fees. You see those adoption fees never trickled down to the local people that’s why they basically extorted money. The local government had no intention of letting the family keep the child but that didn’t mean they could get a little something out of it either.
How absolutely horrific for the family. Thank goodness for the adoptive family giving her a good life. But how awful the twins and the family. I hope they can rebuild the relationships.
This is so dumb and so sad 😞 Like how tf you gonna take a child away for “violating a policy” over an unavoidable circumstance like birthing twins?? Like damnnn the parents didn’t CHOOSE to have two babies at the same time...it’s a natural occurrence 🤦🏽♀️
ι wαɴɴα вe тнe ĸιɴɢ 👑 Didn’t you pay attention? It said they had an older sister too. They weren’t allowed to have another pregnancy at all. I’m sure the officials just wanted a bribe rather than that they cared about overpopulation, but that’s a separate point.
Such a wonderfully touching story and had me in tears almost immediately. Is incredible that we as a human race are so technologically advanced yet so primeval. I hope the twins have many opportunities to make up for lost time
It's so cruel. And now the same people who did this to them are asking people to have more children. They should start by officially apologizing to the families they ruined.
Very inspiring.Missing stolen children such as myself, what resources did you use to find birth parents? I'm from NZ,I live in Hawaii. 31,female. Barnaranated birth certificate not adopted..God bless
People don't talk about it much anymore because it is a 40 year-old policy. It was meant to restrict China's population growth. The unintended effects were abortions, illegal adoptions, and infanticide of female babies. Chinese families prefer male heirs. Now there are more males than females and this may mean more bachelors won't have families to take care of them when they reach old age.
When it is a poor area, people can be so horrible and done horrific things for money. They used one child policy to gain individual interest. I am sure the person sold her to orphanage didn’t give the money to government and the people who work from orphanage did not know these people stole the kids from parents. People are terrible when it comes to money. Hope younger generations can have better education and give girls the equal rights as boys.
They used to do stuff like this in Ireland too. The church would take children from their mothers and then sell them abroad (often to the USA) for adoption. And yet people still don't understand why we're part of the Hague agreement. 🙄 😐 (People here get annoyed because the countries they can adopt from are limited to ones where they can investigate and ascertain that the children aren't being sold/stolen and the parents aren't being coerced, etc. Some people are so entitled and ignorant it's unreal. You do not have the right to have a child, it's children's rights we should be more concerned over.)
That's crazy with the one-child policy. I was born in the 1990s in China and I have one older sister. So I don't know how does the government actually know if you have more than 1 child.
actually the kidnapper was just pretending to be the Chinese government. The one child policy does not include twins and triplets, for obvious reasons. Imagine them taking away every twin that was born, it is not practical nor wise.
what a truly effed up world we live in. i've been watching these types of videos for the last 2 days and the fact that the gov'ts and/or people who make decisions, have the power over others to make such laws is inhumane. watching the pain that gets released and to be so overwhelmed with immense joy.....
This is why I no longer want to adopt internationally. Too many corrupted scenarios. I could not be a part of that. Would rather adopt domestically, though that has its fair share of problems too.
The injustices are horrid. Jeremiah 10:23, "I well know...that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step."
so, anyone who adopts from China could be taking a stolen child. I always wondered about that and thought that it must be true because it seemed unlikely that many chinese mothers would give up their child willingly.
The hell!? This made me so sad. I also wish adoptive parents would not change these children's names and make an effort to retain their language/culture. It's amazing how similar they arem right down to their hair length!
This is so sad they probably won't even really be that close because they don't understand each other's language and if the other twin was taken at 2 years old the twins won't be close to a point were they would act like siblings even though there biologically siblings they probably won't be that close and it's really sad that the one twin was living in America while the rest of the family was robbed and even more sad knowing that there other kid was gone so they most likely won't be close as family but maybe just like a friend

I just saw this documentary on Netflix about this family. It’s called one child nation. I am glad they were able to reunite. 💕💕💕
I wish you and your sister all the best from Nova Scotia, Canada! Good luck!
My heart is so touched by these beautiful twins that love each so dearly. Jus alike praise god there father they wanted to see all 3 are happy. Me too
I begin to tear up watching them all eat together at the table. They were so loving and telling their story of what happened just broke my heart. GOD is sooooo good I wish them well while building awesome memories.
STOLEN?
WHO IS IN JAIL?
🤔🤨😤😤
That last hug broke my heart 😢😢💔💔💔
I just finished watching the documentary One Child Nation. I was so touched by this girl's story. Now I'm crying so much watching this video. so happy to see that they finally get reunited
This is unimaginable.. this poor family...
So sad. They counted twins as violating law. Horrible!
Such a sad story and to think how many children were taken and families had to suffer all these years. You can control having multiples either so its totally ridiculous to take one of the twins away. It’s not the same as having a baby and knowing the law and then continuing to have anything child which makes this even more upsetting.
So BEAUTIFUL yet so SAD!!
That's upsetting.
They look so different now~ It shows how environmental change affects a person.
twin doesnt mean identical, if the mother was ovulating 2 ovum at the same time so they will totally diff, but if from 1 ovum splited so they will identic
@@cleareyes2254 they are identical, they have been tested for it. They just look a bit different because of different skin care regime and hairstyle i suppose
Percy Cat I think if they had the same hair style they would be identical
So bittersweet. My heart can't take it.🥺🥺🥺😭
Mbail, do you know that Someone died for you? That you are loved that much!!
Religion says do, Jesus Christ says, "Done! It Is Finished!" Your sin debt is Paid In Full!!!
We are all infected with the virus called sin! Jesus is the cure!
Believe in your heart that Jesus, the Son of God, God the Son, came, died, was buried and rose again on the 3rd day and is coming back for those that Believe that He is who He says He is and that did what He said He did!!! This is the Good News!! Jesus loves you all, so much, that He willingly died for you, so that you can be with Him forever!!!
Salvation is that easy!
A-Admit you are a sinner in need of a SaviOUR
B-Believe that Jesus is Lord
C- Call on the name of Lord and you will be Saved!!!! God bless!!!!
I wonder what happened next? Did the sisters build a relationship? Did the one sister who lived in the United States visit and stay in contact with her family?
Stealing their child then asking money for getting the child back?? Inhumanity
What a weird situation.. its like she knows she was stolen but at the same time was likely raised by a loving family that didn't know this... I can't imagine knowing you were taken from your real parents by force but now spent all of your life with another family..
This breaks my heart ❤️
1:16 the chinese dad is so touching
Came here from Amazon documentary. I’m so happy that they finally met. I’m in tears 😭
I did the same thing.
So beautiful time heals all
Nothing about this is normal.
So glad that they can meet
Don't stop doing stuff like this... bravo!
So sad, the way the village took the child away.
Such a sad story. Glad they could meet each other.
Especially when its twins like what
That is so wrong. On so many levels.
Twins should never be separated!
Is this a practice? Why do we not hear more about it? And I would love some more information about the Amazon Documentary that others mentioned.
That's so sad. So incredibly sad.
Omg I'm bawling my eyes out.
Were they really "Chinese officials" or human traffickers taking advantage of the one-child policy?
They used to do stuff like this in Ireland too. The church would take children from their mothers and then sell them abroad (often to the USA) for adoption. And yet people still don't understand why we're part of the Hague agreement. 🙄 😐 (People here get annoyed because the countries they can adopt from are limited to ones where they can investigate and ascertain that the children aren't being sold/stolen and the parents aren't being coerced, etc. Some people are so entitled and ignorant it's unreal. You do not have the right to have a child, it's children's rights we should be more concerned over.)
Oh😢 bless there hearts 💕
Incredible story
Atleast they did not kill the other one they still have heart to let the other be adopted
That's crazy with the one-child policy. I was born in the 1990s in China and I have one older sister. So I don't know how does the government actually know if you have more than 1 child.
Heart breaking.
actually the kidnapper was just pretending to be the Chinese government. The one child policy does not include twins and triplets, for obvious reasons. Imagine them taking away every twin that was born, it is not practical nor wise.
😭this is so sad. I'm glad they meet her again
what a truly effed up world we live in. i've been watching these types of videos for the last 2 days and the fact that the gov'ts and/or people who make decisions, have the power over others to make such laws is inhumane. watching the pain that gets released and to be so overwhelmed with immense joy.....
This is why I no longer want to adopt internationally. Too many corrupted scenarios. I could not be a part of that. Would rather adopt domestically, though that has its fair share of problems too.
I just found this after watching the documentary One Child Nation. It was shocking to find out what truely went on during those 35 years
This also happened in the UK during the 80s and 60s single mothers were forced to give their children away.
The biggest tragedy here is that they named the poor girl "Esther"🤢🤢
It is not legal to adopt her....should take her back...
Any updates 🥺
That girl is broken hearted
This is amazing
This should have been made into a movie
The injustices are horrid. Jeremiah 10:23, "I well know...that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step."
so, anyone who adopts from China could be taking a stolen child. I always wondered about that and thought that it must be true because it seemed unlikely that many chinese mothers would give up their child willingly.
This has me in my emotions
