The ThinkPad is a motherf*cking work horse! Working on a 4 year old ThinkPad L390 Yoga one and from completely shut down to start up to in my email takes about 45 seconds!
Never crashes and the battery with good care thus far lasts a solid 5 hours. It cost the equivalent of 300 pounds and that was money well spent!

I had a job give me the most ripped out thinkpad ever and they pushed me out in 6 months, but before that I had a job for 3 years where I did almost no work and had indestructible job security. I started in 2018 and they handed me a T420 Thinkpad. So I'd agree but only if they give you an OLD Thinkpad.

Ill keep it real, sounds like you are bad at picking startups. Ive worked at loads of the mad office ones where stuff gets done. Plus yea if you want to be a drone go thinkpad environment, but that is literally the 9-5 waste your life kind of beat

that’s totally possible. but it also can be a both things at once, bad luck and me picking the wrong startups. but before that one place went bankrupt i also worked at 4 other startups that were perfectly fine. so i guess it depends, its a case by case thing
