Many Thanks for this big Video. Have a good time and many greetings from Berlin/Germany
How do just remove the lid any help will be appreciated
Many thanks!
It is worth noting that on the 2014 model, there is a bolt behind the cd stacker.
Thank you for the video.
Thanks for this. Is it possible to replace the glovebox door/lid without having to replace the entire glovebox.? One of my hindges is broken and was hoping I could replace just the door.
Same problem here 😅 Have You managed to replace only the door?
@@lyczek8898 Sadly not, gave up looking as I couldn't find anything. Ended up shoving a flat piece of steel inside the lid where the hinge broke off and then shoved the broken hinge onto the other end of the steel with a load of epoxy. Has held so far but I am now careful when I open and close it.
Smashing videos
You need to disarm the passenger airbag otherwise you will get an airbag warning light come on, probably best/easist to disconnect the battery before removing the glove box.
I removed the glovebox in a similar process on my 2009 a3 but since then my passenger airbag warning light has gone red
I have the same thing
Did u ever find out what it was i have the same thing on my a3 @Dr.Stacker
@@emmanuelsuomie9392 Hi mate, I cleared the code with my VCDS (VAG Software), I think i tried with a normal OBD2 scanner and it didn't work so had to clear the code in the Airbag module of VCDS programme. You might not like to hear this but you will need a special obd2 cable from rosstech for that so might be cheaper to get someone in a garage to do it for you. I think there is also a video somewhere on youtube showing it done with VCDS. Hope that helps
That usually happens if you turn the ignition on while the leads to the glovebox are unplugged. You just need to find someone with the OBD tool to reset the airbag warning
@@aerobrain2001Buy Ancel VD 700.....its a very good OBD Scanner in Germany 70-80€
do you need to disconnect battery terminals to remove glovebox?
To be on the safe side, yes, disconnect the battery. Although we have done it without disconnecting the battery without any issues.
@@SelectVehicleSpares cheers i have a slight rattle in my dash somewhere aswell hopefully i can find the culprit behind the glovebox
