The previous version had raised buttons .....far better than the new ones when you are trying to keep the dot steady and not fumbling for the right button to press while looking up. Im thinking of changing to another make simply due to this ....whos idea was it? Theyve obviously never used one in the real world situation.
can we use outdoor measurement for Roof dimension checking?
In daylight it is difficult to see the laser reflection form normal surfaces. If I use a retroreflective surface i.e. one that reflects back only to the source of the light or thereabouts, then the Disto D2 is over loaded and does not measure the distance.
Is there some way of making its receiver less sensitive in these circumstances?
FRANK PHILPOT you should try a Disto D510 or S910 maybe.This device has an integrated digital viewfinder with a nice display.This function allow very easy measuring outside with strong daylight and lots of other smart functions.
How to change units from meter to feet? Currently my device set on meter.

It is a great disappointment that the Leica Disto D2 BT is not equipped with a tripod thread
We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed regarding this fact. All Leica DISTO™ models above the D2 are having such a tripod thread.

Not a good video as they dont show the red dot. Can you see it 20 meters away in a roof? etc...
