Hello from a Brit who lives in nyc for 15 years who is from Devon who played in Surrey leagues . Your channel is a lovely revisit to my old Saturday doing up and down the A3 playing for the Old Grammarians . Even for a safa! Cheers leigh
Absolutely love this little series on the tour, shows what amateur cricket is all about, can’t wait to see your channel grow more mate m, keep smashing it! 👍
I have analysed your cricket for a while now, I love the way u play and u have helped me get so much runs I went from getting 6 runs in my debut game to getting an average of 38 in mid season. Thank You 🙏
I am 35 and there isn't much recreational cricket for my age group where I live. I miss those days when I could just walk into the park and play cricket. Your videos are therapeutic for me. Keep them coming.
Ur so amazing I love watching ur videos that’s all I been doing.your so good and I hope u get a better and better I always wanted to play cricket on a team but never could. Thxs to entertaining us.
South African residing in Surrey , Guildford. I last played 4 years ago before immigrating to the UK, recently started at a local club and soon after came across this video's. Met a few fellow homelanders on the pitch myself. Great cricket spirit here in the UK..
Well batted again mate, for some reason when I started to watch your vids I got a big boost to my own performance, so thanks and keep up the great work
@@canyoucricket my season finished a few weeks back… but the last two games (roughly when I found your channel), I scored 14* (48) which helped take our team from 6/63 off 23 overs to 7/128 off 35, which dragged us to a draw with no one left in the sheds. Then as captain I made 20 (36) and helped our team to nearly get a win. My team isn’t that good and any runs is considered good for us. In total that whole season I made 106 runs and took 6 wickets… if I found your channel earlier it could have easily been 200+. Your impact has been massive for me, so thanks.
Really admirable that you can make a living out of this channel - the content is super interesting and the RUclips algorithm has led me here. Well done! Saffas have such a good track record in cricket (especially as exports to other countries) so you're in good company!

Hi Gareth, I was going to ask whether u could do videos on how to get better at batting and the aspects of batting cos u are a rlly good batter urself. Love the videos
A good one, loved the intro shots of Cornwall, saw St. Michael's Mount back in the 60's. We had Newberry bats many years ago! A bit more involving this one.
Great video as usual. Love the interaction pre/ post, it felt like a part of the game. Guess what. Finally recorded the first game of the season. Forgot to ask you an important question. What software/ program do you use to cut/edit your videos? Not sure what to use. Also. You had recommended to use superview. I like that. Have you ever tried liner view with horizon leveling ? If so, "Can you" share your thoughts? 😉 Did you see what I did there. Cheers
I can't imagine what it must be like wearing a go pro on your head. I never wore a helmet at all. I was playing before helmets came in and I tried one in the nets once. Found it was not for me and backed my technique to avoid the ball. Only had 5 stiches in an eye brow once from a missed hook, and then a broken nose from a top edge sweep.....A happy price to pay not to wear an uncomfortable helmet. But to wear something on the brim... no, not for me. But you do a great job with it. Keep up the good work, I'll be following you from now on.
My advice would be to play the ball on its merit! Try not to think about the shots you want to play. Stay in the moment! If you'd like more tips, I've created a ''CYC Batting Tips'' document. Follow the link and check it out 💪 canyoucricket.com/en-gbp/products/can-you-cricket-top-tips?
Hey man, Thank you the videos! I want to ask, what setting do you prefer to keep on the go pro ? and how you adjust perfect position of gopro on the helmet ?
3 questions. What time did your match start? And what time is the sunset?? Is there a fine system for a drop catch?? In my team, if you drop a catch you gotta shout a garlic pizza at the pub afterwards
Mate i gotta say, being a South African, you really sound like your from SA, maybe thats just me🤣 Keep doing what you do though, im now based in Florida and your channel really keeps me connected with the game🏏
Today's (24th May) game update. Our team scored 174/8 in 20 overs out of which I scored 83 of 44 deliveries and was runout. However my team won by 44 runs. Upcoming matches - 26th, 29th and on 1st June.
