      I ride a Sherco too.
      Love the bike and have the carb dialed, but it's 2024...
      There's better ways to feed an engine. If Sherco don't go EFI for the new 25s (and its looking highly unlikely) I'll likely go back to the 300 SEF 4 stroke.
      I've been working with EFI since the 80s, it's time to let carbs go 👍

    I have 2024 300 tbi and in one month i have about 28 hours on it and no problems yet! runs great no boiling problems, i did installed a extra fan on the left radiator for better cooling in case of feeling the bike a little to hot, i am a agresive rider, i did not foul any spark plug even tho i add oil to the gas tank too and i have the oil pump still. The bike is great.

But I swear this new bike makes me ride even better. The suspension is AMAZING and the motor runs smooth. Im not sure what it is but i am more confident and percise with this bike over my huskh tpi. If your considering getting one ...do it . Thank me later. The only thing u can not stand is the start/stop button . And the turning radius is noticeably now as sharp

    To avoid the bogging is simples… don’t use the 2t oil recommended by Ktm, it’s creates to much carbon that blocks the port of the press sensor cylinder.
    It’s happened to me with my TPI after less then 50hrs. Then I used another oil and never happened again until I sold it with + 300 hrs.

    Piston issues were due to silica content not being correct in the corona apocalyptic times with raw material availability, therefore pistons were too brittle and they were cracking. Not all but enough to be out of the average.

  • @bbarker5766
    @bbarker5766 6 месяцев назад

    The piston hitting the crank is a well-known issue. I really think KTM should offer frre parts and labor to fix that problem. It's not weaker materials. It's from using the wrong part. I have a 2018 Beta 300 race edition and love it. It has a few quirks, but nothing like the new TBI KTM bikes.

    • @onthethrottle7104
      @onthethrottle7104 6 месяцев назад

      bbarker - that has not been proven at all. There are guys on the internet, and only a few, that have broken their motors and then blame it on this BS. If you've been around the video Moto world much, this is how they always work it to see if they can get something for free or they are mad they didn't get their way. KTM isn't perfect but when guys do real stupid crap with their bikes and things go wrong they look to point fingers and it's never their fault. hundreds of thousands of new XC's TBI's out there with absolutely no issues at all. What about those bikes? Anyway, don't believe the dumb crap.

  • @alexkevan3887
    @alexkevan3887 6 месяцев назад +2

    This video is misleading at best. 135hrs on my '23 300XC, original spark plug no issues, rode the bike at -20c and worked fine. I also pinned this thing to the boards when it was new constantly while riding in the snow; check my channel for my winter riding videos, never had a piston failure. Error codes mean nothing if the bike is running correctly, no point in clearing them, just ride it. The only real issue I see with these bikes are, the fuel mixture lean on the top-end and you will probably not realize this until you ride in sand dunes for a full day. I have also ridden 120km/s on a tank of fuel didn't run out. The tank still a little left in it, and at the end of the ride it was probably 20kms of road riding. Can you clear codes on a 2023 with the TSP module, which I intend to buy to fix the lean condition on top, also can be used to check your throttle position sensor.

    This guy has no idea. These bikes are VERY reliable witth minimal issues. There are tbi bikes out there with reported 200hrs and no issues. Mine is pretty close to stock and i have had not a single issue. The fuel pump works with the slash effect. There is no hose in the inside of the fuel pump either. That is a completely made up issue. The pump has an absorbant sock filter similar to an automobile. We ride hard and race primarily desert hare scrambles. This guy has ZERO clue on anything that has to do with this bike. • @Rickshaw199
    @Rickshaw199 6 месяцев назад +21

    This is a pretty click baity title, the issue of the error code, fouling plugs and bogging where on the early 2023 XC's which were the first TBI's to come out and have been fixed with a software update, usually for free, or a small diagnostic fee. Don't let anyone fool you, the 2024 300 XC-W is hands down the best motorcycle made out of the box for trail / enduro. If you think any of the carbed models are better, your lying to yourself. The electronic power valve and TBI combo is just simply on another level. That's not even mentioning the massive improvement the new fork and rear PDS shock bring to the table, again the new stock suspension is on another level.
