- KRKA NATIONAL PARK, CROATIA! How to see it ALL in ONE DAY!
Krka National Park is big and pretty spread out. There are organized tours you can do to see it but as we were coming all the way from our accommodation in Dubrovnik, we hired our own car and hit the road early to make the 3.5 hour road trip from Dubrovnik through 12kms of Bosnia and Herzegovina and back to Croatia, past Split and finally arrived at KRKA!
We arrived shortly after the park opened so we were able to make the most of the time available but as this was filmed in October it meant the sun was setting around 6.30pm so we needed to keep the pace up to see as much as possible with our one day park tickets.
Starting in Lozovac at the Southern end of the park we were blown away by the beautiful waterfalls and pools that we saw along the 2km trail. After some al fresco lunch we made our way back to the car to drive further up the park in search of Roski Slap (waterfall) and found a couple of other gems to explore while we were there too. The famous ‘necklaces’ were completely breathtaking and gave us an important reminder of why we’re chasing our travel dreams.
As we began running out of time we raced back to the car and drove to the Northern tip of KRKA National park to Manojlovac Waterfall, this is a story that chases waterfalls and sunsets!

A British couple from just outside London, England. We got married in 2018 and decided instead of a honeymoon we’d travel the world together. We saved money and travel points, quit our jobs, rented our house out and boarded a one way flight. We started this RUclips channel to share our experiences with friends, family and anyone who plans to travel to the places we’re visiting. We leave TKT tips/facts on our vlogs and blogs to give information that we wish we’d had before visiting. We hope you find our content useful :)

Do you love waterfalls? Let us know in the comments your favourite waterfalls from around the world! 🌎
Wow such beautiful drone shots of the waterfall at the end!
Great vlog. I fully realize how challenging it is to visit a big national park for filming as a day trip. But you guys made it successfully and made us enjoy and benefit. Big thumb 👍 for that . Thanks
Thank you so much for this comment and appreciating the effort, it means a lot to us! ☺️
Lovely video my friend.👌
Enjoy your weekend.🤗
Stay connected ❤️👌
Thank you, you too!
I've watched SO many YT videos on Krka, and this is the first one where I really got a feel for the size, layout, and schedules. :) (Plus all your footage looks nice)
We had no idea how vast it was until we got there. Plitvice is all in one place but is also more touristy so we actually preferred Krka ☺️
Wow! How beautiful that ALL was!
Those views, lakes, rivers, caves, boat trips & a canyon!
It all looks stunningly beautiful!
Had heard it was a loveky place
But had no idea it was SO beautiful!
Such a dash for you, but
SO worth it & a MUST see, for me!!! Great you shared it with us all, thankyou!
It was so beautiful, we wish we could’ve swam in the lakes so much!
Such a beautiful national park! The Necklaces looked spectacular. It's too bad the water was a bit low, but that didn't take too much away from showing how beautiful it is. Great call to hire a car for this too. Going where big buses can't!
Another enjoyable content of you. The water looks beautiful. Great video guy ! Keep it up good work
Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you for watching ☺️
Great views lots of steps to get through but well worth it. Another great VLOG
Thanks 😊
The water was so clear where the fish were! Glad your border crossing was uneventful - but such an interesting border placement. Your fruit cup was massive - definitely a healthy snack. Those waterfalls were really underwhelming - I can see why you had to ask if you were in the right spot. And that cave seems like it would be a pass for me - I'm not a fan of small spaces like that. The Necklaces are so pretty - the scenery is incredible. The last falls were beautiful!! I'm such a waterfall fan.
Had no idea I’d dislike being in a cave like that until this moment. I’ve been in other caves and been ok but this was so long and narrow it felt weird and made me a little claustrophobic I guess 😅
Very nice thank for sharing my friend greetings from Turkey👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹⚘🙋♀️👉🛎 Stay Coñnected
Thank you 😊
Exciting!! Love how you can cross countries by car in Europe, Croatia is definitely on our bucket list! Those fish are huge!! The canyon and the views are breath taking, so worth to visit! Wow the drone shots in the end was amazing, love the sunset time and the views. ♥
Crossing countries by car definitely beats flying any day! 😁
Great video both! Great memories from there when we chatted last week! Look forward to your Palma vlogs 🙌
Thank you 😊 it was great chatting to you last week!
Manzaralar müthiş çekimler harika
Your videos are so helpful, thanks x
We’re glad you find them helpful, 😊
Love all your vlogs and also the fact that you leave a description 😀
Thank you, after almost two years of writing them weekly I had no idea if anyone ever reads them, great to know someone has! ☺️
The drone footage in the end is beautiful!
Thank you, we were racing to get there in time for those shots ☺️
Very good 👍. Looks a beautiful country 👌
Thank you. We wish we’d had longer exploring Croatia 🇭🇷 there’s so much to see ☺️
I generally like surprises, but definitely not while using the toilet😂 Thanks for the warning! That's so nice that visitors are provided with so many food options right off of the trail. That fruit cup really was massive! It's unbelievable how many waterfalls there are to view, even during the dry season. And amazing hiking and caves too! This park really has it all and is definitely getting added to our list of places to visit! Thanks for another great video, guys.
We would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling around Croatia 🇭🇷 it’s beautiful and really well thought out ☺️
Awesome to see the whole park guys! We only did the first part of the parkas we did not rent a car and traveled by bus. That last waterfall was so amazing! Another reason for us to return to Croatia! There's so much to see!
It’s totally worth having a little car to see more of a country ☺️
Croatia is just a lovely place, glad you're enjoying it, all of the countyside is so amazing there
It really is!
Wow that is one beautiful National Park! Seems like Croatia has got the goods
It really has ☺️
Thanks for the helpful video.
You're welcome!
Welcome in Croatia ❤🤍💙
Thank you for sharing your amazing Krka National Park adventure. It will be a miracle if my husband and I can do what you did in a day considering we have to go back to the ship before 6pm. We should be happy if we see the big Krka Waterfalls. Happy traveling.
Dalmatia, full of natural beauties. Hello from Split riviera!
It’s beautiful, we cannot wait to visit again some day!
Bravo
WOW! thank you for this. I watched your Plitvice Lakes vlog yesterday which was brillaint and subscribed. This is great too and I'm looking forward to seeing more. Your channel is so good, informative, very well put together and the out takes are a great idea. I wish you great success in your YT journey 👍👏
Nice video guys!
Thanks!
We are planning to travel to Croatia on Oct and found all your videos are very informative. Looking forward to watch more of your videos. Thank you.
Oh that’s exciting, we visited in October so our videos in Croatia were all filmed then, the weather was so lovely for exploring, hope you have a lovely trip it’s beautiful!
This looks like Lake District edition v2.0 (director's cut with creator's commentary).
Just stay there and never leave!
😂 with more sunshine too!
You can avoid going into Bosnia and Herzegovina by going across the bridge to Komarna for those who are worried about border crossing. Little difference in time and 5km longer.
Great video, so did you guys drive from Dubrovnik to Krka National Park and then back again ? We are staying in Dubrovnik for 7days but definately want to do the drive up. Would you recommend staying over somewhere else rather than the journey back?
We drove from Dubrovnik to Krka and then made the decision to not go back to our lovely apartment in Dubrovnik as it was too far and as we were so close to Plitvice we booked a last minute cheap place so we could see Plitvice the next day, you can see what happened here: ruclips.net/video/3J55UuC6Dqw/видео.html Hope you have a great trip and happy to help if you have any questions 😊
Manojlovac is the most beautiful, but you have to come down, which is not easy
Do you need your passport to cross from dubrovnik to go to the waterfalls?
Yes they checked it at the border crossing both ways.
Not anymore.There is bridge now
