Joel said it all so well! You better believe you guys at HMS have brought joy and love to so many of us. Great instruments of course but the business environment that Andrew has created is so evident. These videos have been like beautiful love letters to us all. Thanks for all of it. Btw i love my Pono pro classic!!!!!
I bought a starter uke in Apr. Said to myself if I was still playing after three months I would buy a better uke and take lessons. I bought a Kala from y'all for my 60th birthday in July and have been taking lessons now for 7 months. Love what you do here and appreciate the vids and the words and the love. Come on 2021!! Mahalo, y'all! Know you can...John

Hi guys. Just recently purchased a ukulele and started learning. Can someone please tell me what is that fingerpicking technique in the intro with the thumb and index finger that Kalei is called? And how do I learn it.
Happy new year to you, too HawaiiMusic team! I have so much enjoyed your ukulele reviews here in youtube, eagerly waiting them this year too. I admire your musicality and feeling of companionship while playing these instruments solo and together, and make me understanding more of what instrument ukulele (and guilele) is. Question about tunings and intonation: I also, as a old music professional, have "pain in my ear and soul", when guitar and guitar-like instruments are so far from natural pure scales. Bass have I fretless - I have been wandering if it is possible to make the ukulele fretless? Violins are.... Does fretlessnes (when picked, not played with bow) need bigger scale? It certainly does sound different, because the fret affects the "attac" of the sound. Fingertip is rounds and soft - does ukulele need something "sharper" to shorten the string for to sound good?
Do they make high-g strings for the Pono Baritone Nui and/or the UL models? If they do exist, I'd love to see you guys try it out. Also, I love your content, your channel inspired me to learn the Ukulele. I've been playing for about 4 months now.
