- In the summer time months along the gulf coast shrimp boats from all over drag there nets at night catching shrimp and by morning are typically sorting through there catch and tossing out the by-catch…this usually makes for an easy buffet for Jack Crevalle, Sharks, and even cobia or tuna further offshore. In this video we target some Big Jack Crevalle behind these boats hoping to land one big enough to win the tournament we’re in, BUT went through a lot of hooks to do it due to the overwhelming population of sharks!

I used to work at chandler 25 and it was snapper heaven until the storm hit it
I had to untuck my tighty- whities when the snapper flopped on the rail. WHEW!! That was close!

@@Pisomajado lol, I don't, but only because I don't eat carbs of any kind. However, back when I did we used to use ladyfiah meat to make breaded nuggets. You absolutely could not tell the difference between the nuggets we made and a McDonald's chicken mcnugget. There's a way to cook all fish and the only ones I won't eat are the toxic ones, like puffers. Not worth the risk

Man U make fishing look too easy, I went out on the boat with my family yesterday and fished around coffee island then went out to the sunken shrimp boat reef and Bergman reef and the fishing was dead all we got was a single white trout lol but today I went out in the rain and fished at delta port off the dock and caught a nice redfish and spec so I kinda made up for yesterday not really tho lol

Some people will eat them but we gave the ones we kept to land base shark fisherman to use. They love em

Well, that is exactly how we fish for Yellowfin Tuna out of Venice Louisiana. And catch many. Why aren't you going for them??
We also give the shrimp boat deck hands some beer. And then they give us bags of bicatch. You gotta treat them right too.....
Because this was 3 miles off the beach from Dauphin Island… no Yellowfin for another 60 miles atleast from there. And we literally gave a case of beer to the whole crew of one of the boats in this video

Don’t need any weight
Some of the boats it helped to have alittle bit of weight because the jacks were hanging lower and we were trying to get past the sharks quick, but yes I would agree a weight isn’t necessary most cases
