Another one I found is in Lava Reef Act 1, if you have fire shield and use its ability near the bottom of a hill, you'll slide up to the top and stop moving but maintain the walking animation. It looks really weird, I'll upload an example soon.
The knuckles fly through walls glitch is probably a [major] oversight. It happens because the animation to grab and get up the ledge is interrupted and puts him behind every layer until the animation is over. When he lands on an object, the speed knuckles has is the same as when he grabs and gets up the ledge. Basically the game is continually trying to put knuckles on the top of the ledge, but doesn't realise there is none.
With the knuckles climb clip a simple way to not die is to go in debug mode (yes on consoles). How you do it is that when you are in the opening screen, hold Y and put in the Konami Code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A) and you will be taken to level select. Go to Chemical Plant act one and your set! To open Debug mode all you do is press X and A to change the item. You can even go Super without all 7 emeralds by getting the power box with the S on it. How to stop the death sequence is easy, just go into debug mode while the death animation plays. Enter the mode before the animation finishes and your set! Hope I helped!
I noticed a glitch in Titanic Monarch Zone Act 2, if you jump into one of the pink portals RIGHT as the timer hits 10:00 00 the game doesn't kill you like usual, the game instead freezes, and occasionally Eggman appears.
I have a glitch I found. In press garden act two if you're climbing up a wall and at the top of the wall there's an ice block. Climbing up to it will just cause knuckles to fall, but if there are ice blocks below you, he will break them while in a standing postition!
I found a glitch if you pause right after the blue spheres game ends, the screen will go black and you have to reset your game. If you press jump it will still play the jump sound as if Sonic was still in the bonus game.
On my first day I found a glitch with one of the flying animal capsules, if you don't hit it and just let it fly down than it can push you through the ground and force you to restart the level. I think I did it in green hill zone so if you're going to try it I recommend trying it there.
i found a glitch too, if you get a life box, then get 100 rings simultaneously followed by a spin dash, all of the music stops, there is still sound, just no music. I found this in the level, Garden Press Zone act 1

i was playing this game as sonic and i was in chemical plant zone, i paused the game right before robotnik showed up at the boss part of the stage since i needed to do something, and when i came back to unpause it, sonic was invisible and robotnik never showed up but if i pressed a button you could still hear sonic jump lol

Then tails started to bounce up and down underneath the spring while the spring hatch still looked opened, but it wasn't.. it was a spring. It's on one of my live streams if you wanna see. I didn't record it and I wasn't able to take a screenshot, but while having a fire shield after the act 1 boss in Lava Reef, when you take the spin elevator, Sonic activated the shield's ability and missed the elevator. The stage transition happened normally after that. (It was on PC by the way)
I also encountered a glitch in Sonic 1 for Mobile Devices. Whenever Knuckles glides towards a ramp or loop of some sort, he glitches inside it. It screwed me over a couple of times when I was trying to get to the Special Stages with 50 or 94 rings.
Things that need to be in the next game: -Less glitches. -All new stages. -Playable Amy. -Better endings. -Difficulty settings (easy has game overs send you to the beginning of the act, medium sends you to the beginning of the zone, and hard would send you to the beginning of the game).
A few days ago I did I glitch where I skipped the mirage saloon act 2 boss by doing something speed runners use called “ice cream strays where you get tails in the boss arena without you then you hold down until tails spindashes then you fully charge up a spin dash then you jump exactly at the ice cream then tails hit the capsule and then you skip the boss. If you have sonic mania plus you can skip the cutscene and go to oil ocean but if not you get soft locked

Well I must have gone down it wrong, as I fell right through the floor, and for almost a full minute, I was left with only the background. It then switched to another background, before I finally warped back to the level. Has anyone else experienced this?
I accidentally got the boss crash glitch... I was Tails and bored, so when the panel fell, I started to fly rapidly right. After a bit, I died and got kicked from the game
