Today is my 17th birthday, and I FINALLY got this guy along with the Safari Ltd. Nasutoceratops today. I've been literally DYING to get the new Safari Ltd. models of this year, so I'm very glad and happy that I've finally got these 2. I love both of these models. They are fantastic.
Great review! The colors really do complement the figure. I really like the red highlights on the head. Maybe cloaca was obscured by the feather detail? Hehe
Wait, wait, wait.. i though Raporex was one of the earliest known tyrannosaur (though I may have misheard the documentary) it had the same arms as a T.Rex. A tyrannosaur with long arms with three fingers is new for me
Raptorex is still under scrutiny, as the only specimen is a juvenile skeleton. Loads of early tyrannosaurs had three fingers, including: Eotyrannus, Guanlong, Dilong and Proceratosaurus.
Marcello Mercuri Raptorex is a juvenile tyrannosaurid that is almost certainly from the latest Cretaceous - not from the Early Cretaceous as originally claimed.
Hi Mathew. I bet you're in heaven as I know how very pro-feathers you are, lol. Nice review and yes this is an awesome sculpt but the paint job is awful. Must be the sloppiest I've seen. When I first saw the thumbnail I thought it was an unpainted resin sculpt. Think I will buy this one, carve out and clean up the globs of white paint on the underbelly and give it the paint job it deserves.
The safari Yuty isnt very good. The fossils show feathers that cover the animal almost completely save for a bit of the face and the feet. The safari figure is practically butt-naked.

Tomas Roberts Indeed
Matthew The Dinosaur King
I'm think that the majority of Tyrannosaurids had feathers.
Hooray!!! :D
Do you know about the Siamotyrannus, the Thai Tyrannosaurid?
Tomas Roberts Yes I have :)
Matthew The Dinosaur King
Do you suppose this one had feathers too?
Its possible. All tyrannosaurids probably possessed some sort of feathers
Or short quill-like feathers.
this was a lot smaller than I expected it to be.
Awesome
Thanks :)

i want the yutyrannus
Does this mean that Daffy Duck is related to this thing (pardon the joke)
When I first saw it and didn't know which dinosaur it was I thought it was an allosaurus
I have it
it's funny that it's an early thrannosaur, but it looks like an allosaurid. XD
+CJ McQueen (TeamDinosauria21) tyrannosaurs had three fingers to begin with, but evolution took over leaving them with two
+Matthew The Dinosaur King. oooohhh. I see.
This model reminds me of the indominus Rex for some reason
+JP Mosasaurus Oh dear
It reminds me of a polar bear
It kind of looks like the indominus rex XD
+Lost Legacy | Second channel Lets not mention that abomination here
@@matthewthedinosaurking6810 mm i wish collecta would do yutyrannus
