Amigos de Bolsa Chica is a nonprofit organization formed in 1976, with the purpose of protecting the Bolsa Chica wetlands from development. Amigos de Bolsa Chica volunteers come from a wide variety of people. They are a cooperating association working with California State Parks to preserve the wetlands and educate the public about the importance of Bolsa Chica and surrounding areas.
