I love parts like at 1:45 when he punches the guy to the ground and he gets so angry his hands start shaking, that was one of my favourite details in all the madness animations.
I find it interesting how at this point, Hank didn't seem as brutal and blood thirsty. While he did kill most of these guys, some you could argue were just knocked out, meaning he let some live as long as they didn't get back up. Makes me wonder if maybe the repeated deaths led to him being more unstable. I assume he always loved doing this kind of job but dying and being resurrected a lot made him more unstable to the point where being able to brutally kill people makes him twitchy and excited nowadays. Since we have seen two Hanks meet before who were slightly different, I wonder how Redeemer Hank would act alongside a later Hank, maybe Depredation after he's been shot in the head, stabbed and blown up.
He's definitely a lot more controlled and merciful, I mean when he asks a grunt where sheriff is and gets the answer, he just knocks him out. Any other Hank would have killed him!

I grew up watching and playing Madness. Coming back to school and going on Newgrounds to watch the animation and play all the games related. Best Indie project ever. I'm really happy to find this gem once again as an adult. Still enjoyable!

I like how this is the only time we see Hank disposing of a body....every other madness animation is just a bloodbath. Its also the only time we see hank physically exhausted.
Interesting fact: In the room before Hank confronts the sheriff and is slain by the hands of Jebus, most of the grunts had circular shaped heads instead of the regular oval shapes heads, and Krinkels added this Easter Egg to signify that a large population of Nevada is obese.
I remember watching this for the first time eight years ago on NewGrounds. I didn't keep up with the series at the time but after re-discovering it, I can see how the fan base on this series grew so much: Total badassery and non stop violence. Subbed.
Second episode on my first watch through. The setting improved the choreo and the added use of blood made it feel more like he was actually killing the enemies which I liked. When Jesus died in the first one I didn’t think they would bring him back but im glad they did and it seems they’re gonna bring a lot of characters back to life in the future too. Tricky doesn’t seem to be playing that big of a role just yet tho witnessing his first death was pretty interesting. My only critique is that they didn’t exactly tell us why he was going to kill the sheriff, but in the eyes of a kid who just wants to watch a fight scene I see why they didn’t. They probably just want to entertain children by giving a goal so they can see if he meets the goal or not. Overall I enjoyed this episode quite a bit.
Ooo, I'm interested in reading your first impressions of the episodes! Also, about your critique, I think it's rather interesting that we're left without an explanation for why the protagonist wants to kill the Sheriff. There could be any number of reasons. Maybe he's a hired hitman being paid to kill the Sheriff, maybe he's out to kill him for making him a wanted individual (as seen on the posters at 1:05), maybe the Sheriff is a corrupt form of power in Nevada, maybe he's after the machine that the Sheriff used in the next episode... There could be any number of reasons, the intentional mystery behind it can lead to theories, but at the same time it can be upsetting that we won't know the full picture.
Can’t wait to see your first impressions of 11 cause that one is so far off, from the rest of the series. In a good way btw! A very very good way, 11 is my favorite.

curiosities: The first building in MC3 and the building on MC8 where Auditor is are the same building as in this Orginally this were the last episode The pster in the final room has ALF The grunts that Hank killed at the end of the episode seem a little higher than Hank, however Krinkels confirmed that it's because of a horizontal flip error, and it was unintentional.
Guess im gonna highlight the changes between every installment, what has improved and evolved, this is really the first episode of Madness Combat, where the form of the whole series really takes place, going from room to room, killing people, with the goal of a target who lays behind an army of victims to be slaughtered. Animation is better, gunshot wounds have been added and the overall models look a bit better. In terms of the combat, a more grounded approach is taken as every weapon is used in a realistic way and the protagonist relies on the armory of his victims to keep massacring them.
I like how those wanted posters don’t help since everyone looks alike. Also, crazy how good the animation quality is for Newgrounds, though I did notice the bottom of a character peeking through the top for a while.

Through every episode more details get added; The blood becomes more realistic, more items are in the background; such as props/assessories, (Like posters) and the character movements as well as the designs evolve into being recognized easier. Thats very clever, in the first episode there was no blood, the animations seem as if it was made with little effort, and overall everyone was like they were zombies and had no emotions. (I know it was on purpose, which is why Krinkles is clever, smart, and beyond amazing)
When you think about it the sheriff is the most important character in madness combat. It's all because he was the one who started trickys improbability drive. And if you have seen all of madness combat then you know that tricky is one of the absolute strongest characters in madness combat.

They probably just want to entertain children by giving a goal so they can see if he meets the goal or not. Overall I enjoyed this episode quite a bit.

Also, about your critique, I think it's rather interesting that we're left without an explanation for why the protagonist wants to kill the Sheriff. There could be any number of reasons. Maybe he's a hired hitman being paid to kill the Sheriff, maybe he's out to kill him for making him a wanted individual (as seen on the posters at 1:05), maybe the Sheriff is a corrupt form of power in Nevada, maybe he's after the machine that the Sheriff used in the next episode... There could be any number of reasons, the intentional mystery behind it can lead to theories, but at the same time it can be upsetting that we won't know the full picture.
Can’t wait to see your first impressions of 11 cause that one is so far off, from the rest of the series.

The grunts that Hank killed at the end of the episode seem a little higher than Hank, however Krinkels confirmed that it's because of a horizontal flip error, and it was unintentional.
Guess im gonna highlight the changes between every installment, what has improved and evolved, this is really the first episode of Madness Combat, where the form of the whole series really takes place, going from room to room, killing people, with the goal of a target who lays behind an army of victims to be slaughtered. Animation is better, gunshot wounds have been added and the overall models look a bit better. In terms of the combat, a more grounded approach is taken as every weapon is used in a realistic way and the protagonist relies on the armory of his victims to keep massacring them.
I like how those wanted posters don’t help since everyone looks alike. Also, crazy how good the animation quality is for Newgrounds, though I did notice the bottom of a character peeking through the top for a while.

Through every episode more details get added; The blood becomes more realistic, more items are in the background; such as props/assessories, (Like posters) and the character movements as well as the designs evolve into being recognized easier.
Thats very clever, in the first episode there was no blood, the animations seem as if it was made with little effort, and overall everyone was like they were zombies and had no emotions. (I know it was on purpose, which is why Krinkles is clever, smart, and beyond amazing)

When you think about it the sheriff is the most important character in madness combat. It's all because he was the one who started trickys improbability drive. And if you have seen all of madness combat then you know that tricky is one of the absolute strongest characters in madness combat.
