Welcome To Survival-Russia. One of the very best Outdoors and Survival related communities on RUclips, and yes, It's a pretty good Channel too :)
My name is Lars. I'm From Denmark but I live in Rural Russia now. I live at a Homestead in wild nature surrounded by a huge forest.
On The Survival-Russia channel we do all things related to the Outdoors Lifestyle. I share my thoughts and experiences on Survival Techniques for the woodlands of the Northern Hemisphere. the Reality of Survival. I share Techniques and ways of the Siberian Tribesmen and the Russian Longhunters of the older days. Things not shown outside of Russia very much.
On this Channel we also do Off-Road driving, Vehicle builds, Metal Detecting, all things Outdoors basically. Enjoy!

Beans fixed with fresh tomato from the garden, ham hock, garlic, salt and cayenne pepper...topped off with a beer for beverage. I really respect your will power to not drink while alone in the woods....smart....real smart.

Lash one of your Silky saws to a pole to cut the high chaga if you don't have a pole saw, or don't want to pack it into the woods. I'll bet your followers here on RUclips would buy more chaga than you can find. I think they'd also be more than happy to pay you well for it because they know it's helping you, your family, and this awesome channel. Who else thinks a chunk of chaga that Lars himself cut off a tree in Siberia would be a pretty dang cool thing to have sitting on their mantel?!

15:15 Glad to see someone respecting and understanding the importance of spreading your legs when chopping wood! I feel I see too many on youtube not doing this. I'm no expert but I've heard the consequences of not doing so can be very gruesome. Safety first!

Lars, I have really enjoyed this thread of video. I honestly do miss winter camping in deep snow. In regard to your tree cutting: the Hunter skis are really really awesome, but I would think snow shoes would have made it easier to "run". With the Jaga, (I hope I spelled it correctly), maybe some climbing spikes and a climbing belt to get the larger peices? Please do more winter camping footage! Have a great experience out there, and I'm sure the Surval Russia family is eagerly awaiting your return!!!

Controlling skis through the forest is like steering a large ship, I like that analogy 😉

You called that tree fall perfectly! Idk why people like to comment about your ideas/suggestions wouldn't work for this or that reason. I'm only a subscriber for about a month now but have been marathon watching your videos. It's obvious you know what you're talking about so I wish guys would just shut up and watch. They can disagree to themselves if they're that ignorant and stubborn. Keep up the great job, Lars!

14:47 It would seem like you. if you thought about it could design a chagga harvesting device, an axe head, or a "U" shaped piece of metal, with a sharp edge in the center inside, so on a stick you could raise this device up in the air near a tree with chagga chunks (out of reach from the ground) and could break them off. maybe by chopping action or wedging action. Well maybe easier harvesting, or reaching where you couldn't get before. Seems like using a ladder would be much too much work. Regards.

I only started watching recently and you already have me hooked. Keep up the great work. Pro tip: make sure your toilet is nearby when eating pasulj!
