Welcome To Survival-Russia. One of the very best Outdoors and Survival related communities on RUclips, and yes, It's a pretty good Channel too :)
My name is Lars. I'm From Denmark but I live in Rural Russia now. I live at a Homestead in wild nature surrounded by a huge forest.
On The Survival-Russia channel we do all things related to the Outdoors Lifestyle. I share my thoughts and experiences on Survival Techniques for the woodlands of the Northern Hemisphere. the Reality of Survival. I share Techniques and ways of the Siberian Tribesmen and the Russian Longhunters of the older days. Things not shown outside of Russia very much.
On this Channel we also do Off-Road driving, Vehicle builds, Metal Detecting, all things Outdoors basically. Enjoy!
Nothing better to see on a lazy Sunday than a survival Russia notification
Lars, only you could make me want to eat baked beans and bread outside in the snow!!!
ebony5766 when I was a kid on snow days my mother would make my school lunch of a thermos of bean soup and a Bologna sandwich I’d go outside at lunch break and enjoy the snow and lunch, it was awesome.
Oxxnarr D'flame that sounds Awesome
Beans are not only a super-food they keep your pipes clean.
I think cold milk makes it better.. (for a male of course).
Those beans must have been 'Serbian Officers' Issue! The piece of pork was wonderfully generous. That ration would lift my spirits on a cold winter night, in a comfortable tent!
Lars, I stumbled up on your channel couple days ago and I am hooked. Keep it up and greetings from Latvia!
Same here and I told him on an older video that 2 weeks ago I was at the grocery store and brought up his video and the cashier saw the same video so he is catching on here in the USA.
Tagad es ar !
Looks like a nice comfortable camp and the tent is working well for you. "Awesome"
Lonnie, Lars has a great RUclips channel but you and your wife also
have great channel!!
@@crazydaze2792 Thanks. Lars and I have been watching each others videos for many years now.
@@Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival 22
You two guys are my favorites! Your videos are motivating me to take my @ss out in the Carpathian wilderness :D . Keep up the good work!!! And as always: Thank you! :D
I took a drink every time you said "awesome".
My liver is shot for life
drink for tralalalala...almost there too. Who needs a liver anyway ?!
Awesome
Lars Bingo! He is a good guy....his English is exemplary....really exemplary.
Hi Lars, when it comes to doing work I too always start with my least favorite thing to do .... seems to make the rest easier somehow. Stay warm.
Cause youve the shit work done first lol always better ...... hard stuff first easy stuff after lol .... for me thats the way to do it 😁😁😁😁
Just sat down from a hard hot day putting up hay here in Tennessee..,,pulled up a SR video and see Lars having beans....wife says how about some beans for supper....yeah boy, pinto beans with fresh made cornbread and onion. Beans fixed with fresh tomato from the garden, ham hock, garlic, salt and cayenne pepper...topped off with a beer for beverage. I really respect your will power to not drink while alone in the woods....smart....real smart.
I like the way you say funky all the time funky is as funky does
A new southern American term for you: ITS DAD GUM COLD OUTSIDE! I am now addicted to your channel. From Arkansas USA!
Lash one of your Silky saws to a pole to cut the high chaga if you don't have a pole saw, or don't want to pack it into the woods. I'll bet your followers here on RUclips would buy more chaga than you can find. I think they'd also be more than happy to pay you well for it because they know it's helping you, your family, and this awesome channel. Who else thinks a chunk of chaga that Lars himself cut off a tree in Siberia would be a pretty dang cool thing to have sitting on their mantel?!
On my mantle, no. In my tea cup, yes.
If I could move to Russia and just hangout with you in the bush and around the homestead I would, I have learned alot from you over the years, you actually convinced me to buy a silki saw a while back. By far my go to item when I head into the woods.
In Serbia beans and pork go hand in hand. 🐷🥓
US too.
Just curious, are you that proud of your country that you need to name your username after it?
Von Bergerfurth no need to respond to that. You don’t need to know anything
@@serbia-ll1io Like I said, just curious why anyone would do that.
Beans go hand in hand with anything...Sausage n beans..beans on toast..beans n mash..beans on their own..bacon n beans..some eat em cold..yuk..!
I'm glad you showed that method of splitting firewood. It is a much safer way to do it!
I feel kind of stupid for not thinking of it myself when struggling with a good stand..
Your a really cool guy... too bad our countries can not do better togather. Seeing and hearing you talk makes my heart warm to you , your family and your country....God bless and best wishes!
I have a suggestion too. Put your playlist in the correct order please so I can sit back and relax watching them without being stuck to my keyboard and mouse
Where i grew up we had fun in the forest and could, spend a winter day making a little shelter ,a fire and making soup . We rarley spent a night tho. Your awsome video reminds me of those days . Thank you
Greetings from Persia

10 years if dwelling in Scandinavian? Why don't you use "Ayran"-Iran", the preform of "arian" name? Unwished in local nets?
@Christopher Kavanaugh if you say "greetings from Persia" you are time travelling. Italians don't say "greetings from the Roman empire".
Thank you , Lars .
Amazing to see you handle the cold! Thanks for your videos!!
Greetings from your western neighbour, Finland! We also know a little bit of winter.
I’m with you! I always tackle the task that I’m dreading the most and then it’s clear sailing after that😇😇😇
I think i like your wise advise about the tree cutting for fire wood better, and it's called work smarter not harder,..Great video, thanks !!!
Thank you!
You know your environment better than anyone else on youtube Lars. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
This trip is awesome....I love the hunter skis
That was awesome Lars! Some great snow ski action and wood gathering. Thanks for posting and best wishes.
I have met many Russians in the gyms ,and they were all verry Kool people 100 percent.I just wish and hope our leaders get along we are all as people just trying to live.I like your channel I am a new sub.
Real people are by and large the same :)
Glad to see you enjoying the beans! Greetings from Serbia!
Start with the hard work!
No matter what you do it is a great way of thinking!
Stay safe and keep having fun my brother!
What a great video again, I hope to see more soon, because I really enjoy watching your videos.

I served in the italian army back in 1999, and from time to time I would bump into some rations dated 1986 or even older....hope you check the exp. date...I'm not picky...but I have limits...you should too in the forest...Awesome lalalaal
Super Awesome Video! I love this one. I don't know why, exactly, maybe because it is just classic survival, with real events (like "running on skis!") love it. I miss snow!
I ❤️ seeing you back out in the wintertime forest! Even if it’s not in a dugout snow and plash-palatka shelter with a Siberian big log fire!
The boot lacing advice helped my wife's foot. Your simple common sense is great! God bless!
i truly admire you survival Russia for doing what you do and how you live and what ever you choose to use and i want to thank you for taking the time outa your busy life to share your time and knowledge with the world your the best !!!🇨🇦
If Lars had a boat it might be named...AwesomeNess :)
Hello from Aztec, New Mexico.
I've been missing your videos. Winter storms knocked out my internet. Glad to be back!
My favorite videos on youtube, the Survival Russia winter camping videos.
Good to see you out and about Lars. I may have to invest in a Katana Boy after you and Lonnie speak so highly about them. Keep enjoying the winter!
Thank you survival Russia for all the information on silky saws I'm getting my first big boy tomorrow from Amazon can't wait to put it to work
Enjoyed every bit, even the mundane you are so enthusiastic, it become infectious. thank you for the lesson about the mushrooms. Wishing you and those you love to stay warm, well and blessed.:-)
Really nice set-up for the cold Lars.
Great multi-angle action sequences!
Awesome tent! Im beginning to think we should get one of these very well built tents! Thanks to you those of us that normally dont get a chance to try them ourselves, atleast we know we can trust you to give us the best info. We really enjoyed the tent series! We have been out getting it done in between our work schedules. You are appreciated and the knowledge you share is priceless! Have a great week to you and family Lars!
Greetings from northern sweden
love the rambling, gold dust. cheers bro
Really enjoying your channel, Lars! Picked up a couple pash palakas. They are super cool. Posted a video camping out with them from over the weekend. Cheers
Echt super Arbeit Lars, mach bitte weiter so.
My wife and I really enjoy your videos. Thanks Lars. And hello from Illinois USA. We’re Mexican-American and we love your videos!
The more I see you use that tent, the more I am convinced it is the best choice for Arctic use. Spoke with a distributor and expect it by late March. I told them Lars sent me. LOL
As always enjoyed the video. Cheers. 👍🍻
Yes indeed. They actually have a bright orange arctic cover for the tent too :) You will like the tent a lot :)
@@SurvivalRussia Hi Lars. Looks like I will receive my new tent in about 45 days. Just in time for spring ice fishing and a test on the Arctic tundra. They are proving to be popular. Being shipped from Russia.
great stuff Lars,
Really enjoyed this. The tent and stove is great. I just had some time in the woods in a heated tent too. Like you say it uses far less wood and is much warmer.
Sandy
I have a fiskas folding saw it's awesome, used it for 2 years now and it's still sharp as the day I bought it.
that was cool , that double camera editing with the tree felling ..! Great editing .. you have come a long way , as i have been watching your real early videos .. good usually loud audio .these days.. its easier for us watchers to turn down volume than up..thanks Lars !
Поздрав из СРБИЈЕ! Војнички пасуљ је специјалитет!
Спасибо брат))
That tent looks nice and cosy
Dude your are amazing! you just found yourself a new supporter! Keep up the great work
Thank you! :)
Dobre utro. You’re awesome.
I loved the start hahhah another great video thanks!
Another awesome video. I always feel at ease watching you videos Lars. Like a small holiday from the crazy fast world. Also, I cannot wait for a cooking with Lars video sometime!
Thank you very much :)
Very good info and I like how clearly you are able to explain. Your English is better than most of my friends to and I'm Canadian!! Kinda makes me want to go get lost in the woods for a few days, ty.
I see you used the Survival Russia "Nice pillow of snow"-sawing support in this video again. It is eminently useful, that's for sure. Beautiful woods, a great hot tent and overall awesome content. Just how it ought to be. Thank you for the video Lars, took my mind off of all the chaos that's been going on lately for a while. Hopefully it didn't get too cold over there, we've had +2 degrees since yesterday and the snow is starting to create massive puddles everywhere..
I bought that tent set up because of your review. I have the Tent , 2 large cots , stove and floor liner. Best $1500 shipped I spent 2👍. Just a tent of that quality will cost me $1500 in USA.
THANKS Lars
Thank you too :) You will like this setup I'm sure. Enjoy.
ENJOYED THE VIDEO AS ALWAYS, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Lars, you are defenitly right. Start work with the heavy / difficult parts and going to get finished with easy work. All the best and stay healthy. Kind regards from the German lower mountain range the Pre-Eifel. Alex
Dang it ! All that work and food so now I have to go eat. Great job Lars. Thanks
Take things easy Lars. The forecast for all of Northern Europe is not good. My friend from Tromsø, told me yesterday that a very cold period IS on it's way. Will even reach the uk. When someone from there tells you it's cold, IT'S COLD!
Massive respect for all the work that must go into videoing all this stuff you do mate , let alone doing it all yourself. You must think sometimes just how hard it was for the people's of old thousands of years ago with limited equipment . But they all had the knowledge in their heads didn't they , unlike most of us today .
i just sent silky saws a email thanking them !!! and you lars for your recommendations and demos how to use their products right !!! they are without a doubt the best dang" saws out there hands down !!!!🇨🇦
Thank you :) Awesome!
I have a Silky Big Boy with extra large teeth and without an exaggeration it has proved to be a life saver in the woods
Richard till,
If you had added Lonnie of , Far North Bushcraft and Survival , along with Lars you could probably have gotten a long list of names of people who bought the Big boy and Katana Boy saws ??
lonnie i watch as well as 5 others i wont post names as this is lars channel out of respect for lars but i can say lars is my fav and i find it so cool to see russian ways of life for it seems we know little about them and our politics that be draw lines that separate us from knowing very fascinating ppl that know how to survive in the wild like lars youtube allows us to be friends from far away unlike all the rederick and bla bla blaing our politicians fixate on we all on earth can be friends and brothers if we got to know each other and learn survival and ways to laugh and have fun instead of wars
Lars, I came up on your channel a few days ago and I’m hooked! I love how you make any ordinary situation into an interesting one. Love to you, the misses and the little ninjas from Nebraska USA
Awesome, thank you!
NICE! I was waiting to see the inside of the tent since yesterday haha.
Thank you Lars. More wood splitting please. Or any axe- or hammer whacking. It is awesome.
Those hands, reaching down from heaven. Angels singing, ahhhhhhhhh. ;) Saint Survival.
His coat scared the shit out of me at 9:36, when he turned around :D
Awesome video keep it up Lars!!
Being damned very hungry, but still making a vlog part. I value it.)
...sounds to me like a whole bunch of 'Awesomeness!
Hi Lars, nice and cosy heated tent you have there, always like the little tips like keeping tha axe outside and how to use it without a proper block, even the army food looks not bad, thanks for sharing, take care, Taro
Thank you Taro and good to see you again :)
Keep up the awesome vids!!!
Recently found your channel, quite randomly, must say i didn't expect to find a danish guy in Russia getting into some good trouble. :) Really enjoying your videos. Hilsen fra Aarhus.
Great advice! I always try to do the stuff I least want to do first.
Always been my philosophy as well: start with the hardest part first
Good video
how cold it is in the mighty north! stay warm and wise lars
dude, that's a nice tent/stove setup!
Hello from UK .Thanks for good & entertaining vids. We bought the tent , stove and extra floor on your recommendation. We told the manufacturer that you should be on commission now.👍🏼
Good luck out there. I hope you'll survive...
Thanks as always Lars! Sub notice worked today!
Awesome, good stuff.
15:15 Glad to see someone respecting and understanding the importance of spreading your legs when chopping wood! I feel I see too many on youtube not doing this. I'm no expert but I've heard the consequences of not doing so can be very gruesome. Safety first!
Hilsner fra Danmark
I love your channel! This video is awesome!
Lars, I have really enjoyed this thread of video. I honestly do miss winter camping in deep snow. In regard to your tree cutting: the Hunter skis are really really awesome, but I would think snow shoes would have made it easier to "run". With the Jaga, (I hope I spelled it correctly), maybe some climbing spikes and a climbing belt to get the larger peices? Please do more winter camping footage! Have a great experience out there, and I'm sure the Surval Russia family is eagerly awaiting your return!!!
Controlling skis through the forest is like steering a large ship, I like that analogy 😉
Homeless true survivor
BY THE WAY. STICK IS BRILLIANT, ABSOLUTE BRILLIANCE!!! You are LIKE THE "FONZI" OF THE WOODS... AYYY! DOUBLE THUMBS UP
great info about the chaga. i never knew it was useful. i think when i was a kid we used to start fires in the cold but it has been a long time ago that i visited the north U.S.
You called that tree fall perfectly! Idk why people like to comment about your ideas/suggestions wouldn't work for this or that reason. I'm only a subscriber for about a month now but have been marathon watching your videos. It's obvious you know what you're talking about so I wish guys would just shut up and watch. They can disagree to themselves if they're that ignorant and stubborn. Keep up the great job, Lars!
Thank you Robert :)
Enjoy you are a happy lucky guy 😉
14:47 It would seem like you. if you thought about it could design a chagga harvesting device, an axe head, or a "U" shaped piece of metal, with a sharp edge in the center inside, so on a stick you could raise this device up in the air near a tree with chagga chunks (out of reach from the ground) and could break them off. maybe by chopping action or wedging action. Well maybe easier harvesting, or reaching where you couldn't get before. Seems like using a ladder would be much too much work. Regards.
Dear Lars,
I only started watching recently and you already have me hooked. Keep up the great work. Pro tip: make sure your toilet is nearby when eating pasulj!
Greetings from a Serbian in Australia 🙌 🇷🇸
Thank you for liking the channel Marko :)
So glad I found you. Your videos are so awesome
Thank you :)
