When they grow older, they understand what they did and guilt eats at them. Of course you would be friends with her now, but even good people may not have been the best of people as children.

This movie isn't only about bullying, but forgiveness, again, of others, and yourself. She found friends in the end; Shouko and Shoya's hard past shaped them into the people they are today, and they found love in each other. Even if they both are too shy to admit it. Even though it's only a story, I think we all know they will one day in the future admit each other's love. They have nothing but happiness ahead of them.

She seems neverous. Shoya sees this an comforts her. Tells her how they met an stuff leading up to now that they both arent alone anymore cause they'll be there with each other. The next couple of images shows both blushing an he takes her ahold of her hand an walks through a door which "everyone" is waiting for them. It then shows that shoya slightly grown is in a suit an shouko, now more curvy, is in a formal dress. They open the door but it's just a bright light then ends.
