Thank you for a great reaction.This performance was held on 23 and 24 June 2017at one of the Classics Is Groot (Classics Are Great) concerts in Pretoria, South Africa.Amira sang two solo numbers this one and Nessun Dorma,she also sang The Flower Duette with Corlea Botha.This is the best rendition of that duette I have ever heard,Amira then sang a few other numbers with other artists.Go well.kind reguards from,Michael Jonathan Lewis,Johannesburg,South Africa.
Amira has sung various hymns over the years. More recently, The Lord's Prayer, also I'll Walk With God, in a duet with Lukhanyo Moyake (South Africa). How Great Thou Art is also excellent.
If you like Amira, try her friend and equal her age with a different talent. Alma Deutscher, composer, pianist, violinist with a ten million dollar Stradivarius on permanent loan, and now conductor. Her third musical just had a run in Salzburg. A common review is her SIRENS WALTZ closing her sold out concert at Carnegie Hall; every note written by her. You can also find them singing the STEPSISTERS DUET from her CINDERELLA opera together.
You should watch the Amazing Grace cover by Stan Walker. He is a Māori native from New Zealand and has an incredible voice, his back up singers and band are equally talented. He won Australia’s Got Talent in 2009.
Amira is a great singer, no doubt. But after listening to SoHyang sing such masterpieces as Amazing Grace and You Raise Me Up, Amira lacks the spiritual/emotional something that SoHyang gives her listeners. No hate-just my personal observation
