Hi, i have 2 herniated discs diagnosed with mri. I have been suffering with severe neck pain and upper back pain for more than 15 years. No painkillers ever did anything to this pain. 4 days ago i made a brave decision and after a few years of simply twisting and crackling my neck i decided to pull my head strong and steady. I used my left hand to grab around the back of my head just under my right ear and under the right jawbone. Very tightly holding my neck and supporting the head with the left forearm. Then pushed steady slowly and very firmly my chin up, slightly backward and to the right. Lying in bed to relax all the muscles. After a bit of sweet muscle pain a deep but comfortable pop happened. I felt something move slightly. I repeated this on the other side. From the next day i have no more pain, its completely gone. More range of motion and i feel like my posture changed slightly.

Omg I hope this works for me. Even if it doesn't, it sounds like I could get at least a nice long muscle stretch. Thanks for sharing.

@@SaraHessXXIV 2 years on this method is still working. Whenever i feel tight neck or headacke onset i pull my head untill the neck pops. Half an hour later i am like new... best of luck. A chiropractor should be able to pull ones neck with the same result, but you cant have a chiropractor whenever you need them or every day...

    Thank you for your work!
"What you have today is based on the giving of those who lived before. All of your technological conveniences, your art, your music, everything that has been made and produced, your freedoms and your disabilities-all are the legacy of the giving and lack of giving of those who lived before you. They made possible the life that you have today, as you must make possible the life of those who will live beyond you. From a greater perspective, this is the context in which your mission and purpose can be understood. This is what fulfills you at the level of your Being. All other forms of fulfillment stimulate the mind and may give it a temporary sense of peace and purpose, but they do not affect the greater and deeper part of you. They do not lead to anything lasting and meaningful. What you give today will be felt tomorrow. What you contribute in this life will determine the life of the generations to come, and they will thank you or curse you depending on what you gave and how your giving was accomplished. You do not live for your generation. You live for the future. The future is determining the present."

This was amazing - pain I've had for months and months (tried so many things) was gone in minutes. The one downside is that since I had such pain and stiffness, the to hadnt twisted my head in months - once it felt better I started moving my head around and then immediately felt sharp pain in my back under my scapula, I think in the Rhomboid.... Now I'm nursing a tweaked muscle that has been dormant for months. But neck feels great!!! Thank you

Just discovered this! Can't wait to try it.I have been dealing with pain down my arm for over a year now when I finally went to see a Dr I was sent to a specialist. I was diagnosed with bulging degenerative disc within the C5 to C7 area along with bursitis, torn rotator and moderate carpal tunnel on my right side. Physical therapy got my range of motion back in my shoulder so no surgery was needed but the radiating pain down my arm some days is just excruciating. The steroid shot didn't help and the pills they gave me only added weight gain with no relief. I'm hoping that this can give me some form of peace. So tired or hurting.

Got a small c5 bulged disk from a bad benchpress posture. Sometimes it may changed side idk why. I don’t feel pain around my neck but my shoulder and around scapula.
My question is if those exercises can produce a vaccum effect and get the bulged back inside the annulus disk ?
    Good video BTW thx doc

They each do their own thing, but overlap and offer variety. Best advice is to take the ones you feel offer you the most and concentrate on two or three. Thanks for watching!

Man I've been dealing with a herniated disc (c4 c5), and when my PT does the traction, it helps, but it never seems to work out that I have a PT appointment when I'm in crisis-level pain/discomfort. I was really struggling tonight and your exercises brought me some relief instantly. Really grateful, Dr., thanks so much.

Thank you, Dr Rowe! I have a quick question about correlation, maybe even causation, of a link between a "tugging" sensation on my left earlobe starting 2 months ago that was a nuisance mystery until cervical discs went acute last week. I have been in immense pain, even feeling it in my heart area and left tricep like a cardiac event. I believe the earlobe nuisance sensation was the very beginning symptom of a compressed nerve bundle? Not looking for medical expertise, just an opinion of a possible connection. Thank you

I'm confused about herniated discs or bulging discs in the neck. If they're effectively out of position, do they work back into position over time or is surgery required. I think I may have a herniated disc from golf and golf associated exercises...but I've read many golfers who had similar symptoms, had surgery to correct it.

Doc, I've been in pain now for about a week , no relief, constant pain , haven't slept in 6 days , I've been icing the area with no results, doing exercises as well with no relief, tried heat pad but not sure if it helps or makes it worse. Pain radiates down my left arm all the way down to my thumb and first two fingers.
If you can please let me know what I can do different to try to get some relief.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi There, I wanted to ask you if you could clarify one thing: I have discs bulges (several of them) around my neck. They are mostly on my left side and I think there are two in both sides. After trying different solutions such as chiropractor, I am convinced that the most important method is physio therapy which aims to strengthen the muscles around it. My question is wether or not the discs bulges would be reversed? Some people say they are not, but we by strengthening the muscles around would be pain free. Others say it is not uncommon that they can be reversed. What is your experience? Finally, if I were to do physio do you also recommend other forms of therapies like shockwave or others to be a help?

**Doc** what can you offer to help for those of us that have done these types of movements for traction yet the progressive nature of our cervical spine has moved us into a much less mobile state causing the use of our arms to help impossible. If you have ideas, please share. I'd automatically done those you've shared here and nolw I have much less control in constructing traction. Thank you.
