Crap talk kid! He revived the Milan midfield immediately after his arrival under Gattuso! Milan dropped back to nothing after his injury. He had a difficult time under a terrible coach (Gattuso’s replacement), who eventually got sacked and again had tough time with selection under a mediocre replacement coach - Pioli. Pairing him with Calnanoglu was always a bad idea!! No such thing as physical and technical defensive players in the serie A these days, that’s all past glory. Serie A teams struggle these days in the champions league. Loads of players go through horrible times under poor coaches, Lukaku for example. So stop reading football and start WATCHING football!!!

If you told me Paqueta left for personal reasons or because Milan needed to make money, I can can agree with you. But to say it was because he wasn’t good enough? Heck no. Paqueta was the only replacement for Hakan we had because guess what? Hakan has lost form (a natural thing in football)and we have no replacement. Paqueta is a regista but unlike Hakan, he is faster, nimbler and a better dribbler. For the past 4 or so seasons, Milan’s biggest problem was connecting the defensive midfield with the attack. This is why Zlatan has made such an impact. He is a striker that can pull back into the attacking midfield zone and make a pass to the wingers overlapping into the centre, thus covering for Hakan’s lack of pace and very defensive awareness. Paqueta has the pace and if Pioli had given Paqueta half the opportunities he keeps giving Samu, Paqueta would have found his feet and been able to cover Hakan’s loss of form and injuries and having Diaz would not have been necessary. Remember how Paqueta brought life to the Milan midfield under Gattuso. Pirlo was the legend in Milan, but he always had Ambrosini and Gattuso to cover for his poor tackling abilities. Surround Paqueta with hard tacklers so he can roam the midfield, not lock him to one defensive position. In my books, the sale of Paqueta was a loss for Milan. He was always going to do well in Lyon. Lyon has never been a directionless team. Remember when Lyon dominated the French league and were a force in the Champions league (the days of Pernambucano). Lyon much like Milan is going through a dip, but that doesn’t mean they are directionless, thus any player will do. I rest my case.
