Other versions of this people have made didn't get the fluidity and liveliness/expressiveness that the original was going for. The sheep isn't an eyesore, but it has the same vibe, and the ghasts have that look too. THIS IS WHAT I WANT FROM A MINECRAFT MOVIE
This is DEFINITELY the best adaptation of the trailer. Doesn’t look like a RUclips animation from 2013 like the rest of them. You kept the type of dynamic style the actual movie was going for while also staying true to Minecraft itself. Bravo 🎉

I think the biggest complaint people have is live action people in the Minecraft world. Like if they along with Jack Black's Steve were animated like this in the Minecraft style, everything else about the movie staying the same, it would probably have gotten a better reception.
As far as the story goes, they would start out live action in the real world, then become animated when entering the Minecraft world.
So what you guys want is that is begins in a live action setting but when the humans walk through a portal they turn into Minecraft characters and the rest of the movie till the end

Everybody always says stuff like “Oh this is better than the actual Minecraft movie!1!!1!1” but this is the gold example where I not only agree with but enforce it. Not only is the animation style so damn good and eye-pleasing but it’s also super mega high quality that it works as a movie. This is THE BEST Minecraft movie trailer fix I’ve seen.

@@randomguy.-bf9kl I have never seen Minecraft Storyline, but these minecraft animations feel much more fitting for a minecraft movie than the half live action, half animated movie route the Warner Bros version is going for.
because Minecraft has always been about not looking the best, but having that old looking blocky style which is mostly lost in the Warner Bros version, especially with the live action characters.

This is my favorite remake yet. I like how it kind of blends to the squishy realism of live action while still being animated and keeping facial expressions. And I love that you and many others are replacing the BS crafting recipe in the original trailer with a legit recipe. I really hate how they took the "you can do anything" a little to literally and basically are giving us a "Modded Minecraft" movie.

With a little polish, this could actually look like a real movie. The characters are so expressive and the lighting is so pretty. It would have been so cool to have the real world be in live action and have the in-game segments be animated, but I guess that's just too much to ask. :(
Edit: What I mean is that in the movie there exists a "real world" and the game Minecraft. It would be really cool if the segments in the game was animated and the segments in the real world was live-action. I just wanted to compliment the work of this creator and share my thoughts. @@tommydevito4105The only reason Sonic got changed is because it was paramount and they didn't have to remake the entire movie, just Sonic since he was majority of the CGI the entire movie. This is Warner Bros, and they would have to recreate the entire movie costing them a lot of budget.

@@mojomitts It's immersion. The hyper realism of the original trailer along with Jason Mamoa's crafting scene kills immersion and makes it feel alien. This youtuber version honors the theme of Minecraft.
On a side note, I'm worried about the story because of their art decision. I've seen too much DEI projects to know where this could go.

i think the best way to ''incorporate live action'' into the movie was to make the beggining of the movie live action, then have them be transported into the minecraft universe where they're animated like actual minecraft characters for the rest of the movie. great animation btw!

this is definitely by far my favorite recreation of the trailer. The animation and facial expressions aren't flat, but they also aren't over the top and exaggerated. Definitely the best adaptation released so far, well done!

OMG the characters seem LIKEABLE?! And they aren’t OUTTA PLACE? And they had good VOICE ACTING? EVERYONE WAS MADE BEAUTIFULLY, the shading, even down to the little movements in the eyes that felt so fluid. They BETTER get you on the team! Best part is that they kept similar character designs to the people but made them feel entirely different! Thank you. I feel just a little better.

The problem was just a single, animated character, not the artstyle of the ENTIRE MOVIE
THIS. THIS IS THE RIGHT CALL. A faithful art style with accommodations made for character's faces to allow for facial expression. You can see the small difference in the sheep and llama faces in the eye and mouth outlines to give them that "derpy" look they had in the trailer!

I feel like it's not nearly as simple as fixing Sonic. Instead of fixing something that was already animated, they'll have to fix the entire movie and replace the actors with animation while ALSO having them redo all of their lines as voice acting...with Sonic it was just "make him look like Sonic wtf." with this it's "Make entire new animated designs for all of the human main characters, have them redo all of their lines (probably), and possibly change the plot so there's no real life humans anywhere."

Probably not, replacing live action characters with animated ones will cost the studio a lot of money and might delay the release. It’s not impossible for it to be fixed, but it won’t happen since it’s pretty apparent that the purpose of this movie is a cash grab and not a passion project.
