After watching District 9, Chappie, and one or two Die Antwoord videos too many, I'm convinced South Africa is a country that I don't ever need to visit. Ever.
That's only one part of South Africa. It has really bad parts but it's also very beautiful and has good parts to it too, just like every country.

I might suggest that the chorus is in Afrikaans to obscure the true narrative of this song, being the gang culture in SA, and more specifically the numbers gangs of the prison system. To put it simply, the numbers gang is actually three gangs, the 26's, 27's and 28's. Upon entrance to prison, the inmate will join the number that fits him best or face the consequences. The 26's are the thieves, and in charge of the money. The 27's are the violent offenders and work in blood, and the 28's are the sex offenders. The 28's are further divided into 2 groups, being the Gold line, and the Silver line, with the former being the dominant members, and the latter being the submissive, who are taken as 'wyfies' to serve the sexual and any other needs of the Gold.
Translation of the chorus is this.

If it's their faux swag style then I can understand that their brand of humor isn't for everyone, you might prefer something like their earlier work. Look up "maxnormal.tv - love is..." here on youtube, if you've seen all their videos then surely one three-minute piece of spoken word poetry wont hurt.
No need to explain why, I didn't like them either at first. Being Black American listening to rap coming from other countries has to be approved in my opinion because a lot of it isn't from the soul, and doesn't line up with why hiphop and rap was invented in the first place. After listening to them for 6 years I have to say that they are good enough to be in America.
