Most of them are almost perfect! But Specter's voice could use a bit more life in it(fixed in The Phase Locket), Plague sounds a bit too... Sane?(Also fixed in Locket) And Polar, as previously stated, could use a bit of a rougher voice. I also never imagined Tinker with such a high voice but that's the voice I hear in my head for him now.
While not a hundred percent congruent with what the updates have revealed about some of the characters (probably was made before the other campaigns came out), this is definitely an intriguing set of backstories for the Order...and as we move through each one and see what their silhouettes are hiding, it becomes clear just how invested they are in what they are doing. Probably gonna take a while but I'll try to go through each of these at a time with my interpretations of each story and "death" scene. *King Knight - The Decadent Dandy* Story: From this comic, King Knight began as a servant in Pridemoor Keep, but sought to improve his status and so bided his time until the proper time to usurp control from the "current" king. This ties into his stage theme, "In the Halls of the Usurper", the titular usurper in this case being King Knight himself. But determined to protect his crown, he was quick to punish or silence any who spoke against him. "Death": King Knight stands in manacles and chains next to a guillotine, presumably waiting to be beheaded. This may be a reference to King Louis XVI, who was not very popular with the people of France and who was one of many beheaded by guillotine during the French Revolution. The fact that one of the previous panels includes an order upon which "DOWN WITH THE KING" is scrawled seems to lend credence to this. *Specter Knight - The Apparition* Story: Specter Knight, as opposed to his campaign story, fell in battle and was revived by the Enchantress in exchange for his servitude. Attempting to reconcile with other humans and similar folk, they instead regard him with caution and fear, leading him to find company among the dead and become the monster they make him out to be. "Death": Specter Knight stands in front of a wooden coffin, as if to be buried alive. Having died in the context of the comic this seems to serve as a second punishment for him, or perhaps one he has inflicted upon himself to be alone and away from the world that shuns him. *Plague Knight - The Vital Vitriol* Story: Still a scientist, Plague Knight came under proverbial fire from the townsfolk for his inhumane experiments and his practice of testing potions and formulas on his own subjects. At last he was driven away by an angry mob, who sought to halt his experiments once and for all; however, he hid himself away with what remained of his research and began to plot his revenge on the people who he felt had wronged him. "Death": Plague Knight stands above a wooden pyre, about to be burned at the stake. This appears to be a reference to the association of early science and alchemy with witchcraft; burning at the stake was a common sentence for those believed to be witches. *Treasure Knight - The Bounty Hunter* Story: Treasure Knight, avaricious and ambitious, sought only to amass as much gold as he possibly could, turning to extortion and piracy to expand his coffers. There was nothing he wouldn't do for money, and he acquired a vast fortune of gold, jewels and other fine things. But his greed came with a price: knowing his reputation, nobody would trust him to do anything. He remained alone amid his riches, his heart hardening as he vowed to protect his wealth. "Death": Treasure Knight has a large chain draped around his neck, the other end of the chain affixed to a weight keeping him trapped, probably underwater from the bubbles leaking from his punctured air tank; it can be inferred that Treasure Knight will drown, the weight making escape impossible. The chain may be a reference to the character of Jacob Marley from "A Christmas Carol", whose ghost was fettered in heavy chains that he "forged" in life through his avarice. Likewise, it may serve as a visual representation of Treasure Knight being burdened by the "weight" of his own greed, as well as the choices he made to attain his ill-gotten gains. *Mole Knight - The Claws of Fate* Story: Mole Knight was a skilled excavator who was very boastful of his skill, eager to take on any challenge against any knight who would pose one. His arrogance may be the "underlying problem" alluded to in his stage's theme, and his Specter of Torment theme, "Facing the Task", reinforces his eagerness to prove himself. But when fate conspired to bring him into conflict with Shovel Knight, his overconfidence became his undoing, and after losing to the Blue Burrower, Mole Knight was consumed by a lust for vengeance. "Death": Mole Knight hangs from an iron cage suspended from a chain, which looks to be in danger of breaking. Beneath him lies either a bed of hot coals or a pit of magma (it's difficult to tell from the black and white coloring, although magma seems more likely). Destroying the cage, if possible, would not help his situation, as it would only let him fall into the pit below. *Tinker Knight - The Schemer* Story: Tinker Knight, a skilled artificer, was capable of creating advanced machines despite his small size; however, due to this size, he was belittled and dismissed as being weak, as people did not seem to understand his brilliant mind. As such, he isolated himself from the company of the living who mocked and underestimated his genius, instead seeking company in his inventions. Within the Clockwork Tower, he began to plot against the society that ridiculed him, eager to show them what real power was with his "Tools of War". "Death": Tinker Knight's arm is chained to the wall, the knight himself standing upon a metal plate; above him is what appears to be a Tesla coil or an electrical device charging up to electrocute Tinker Knight to death. The presence of such a device serves as a fitting end: As Tinker Knight put so much faith in machinery, he now faces his demise via machinery. *Polar Knight - The Stalwart* Story: Polar Knight lived alone in his derelict ship, rendered useless in the frozen waters; his solitude served as an escape from the ghosts of his past, having broken his oath with Shovel Knight and silently dreading the possibility that the two would cross paths again. In time he was sought out by the Enchantress, and was subsequently drafted into her ranks. "Death": Polar Knight stands above a cracking floor of thin ice, with a ceiling of sharp icicles crumbling overhead and preparing to collapse. The crumbling ceiling and floor could serve as a visualization of Polar Knight's stern, cold demeanor; perhaps it's merely a facade that he can only hold for so long until everything comes crashing down. *Propeller Knight - The Spin Controller* Story: Propeller Knight was a carefree knight who had his sights set more on exploration than conquering anything. From his flying ship he observed the Order of No Quarter, being drawn to the idea of new adventures without realizing the Order's true objective. He joined the group, but once he understood exactly what was at stake and tried to escape, he was in too deep to flee from his rash decisions. "Death": Propeller Knight's legs are tied together and his arms are bound by chains to a large metal ball, standing at the edge of a plank he is being forced to walk. He holds the rose that is seen in his defeat animation, and unable to operate his propeller to save himself, he will likely plummet to his doom.

Unofficial Lore: Plague Knight was trying to make ways to save people, but if nobody tested it nobody was sure if it worked. And he probably wasn’t that smart at the time, because he really seemed to mess things up. A lot.
Although Spector and plague are different they can still work. As Spector Donavan coulda just been some basic thief only a few knew And plague knight coulda gone from simple to nuts because of how he was treated. I think this is still holds up
It’s weird seeing g them all wanna die deep down It’s kinda sad but nice in a way showing that there still hunan and with how shovel knight has them havinh a happy ending it’s. Nice
I feel like most of the knights didn’t deserve some of the things to happen to them, most of them were either ridiculed by society or something else happened Although most chose their path
Even though this isn't lore accurate it helps remind that not all the knights of the order are really "evil". Some are just morally grey. Polar knight respects power and follows those who are the strongest, mole knight seems like he just wants to go through the lost city, tinker knight wants to create and even says that the order should have a fair and just rule over the land, plague knight just wanted love and to study alchemy, and propeller knight supposedly just wants to live in the sky on his flying machine. I'd say the only truely evil member is treasure knight. Specter knight gave his own free will and ability to become human just to save his best friend's son, I feel like he isn't but rather just got dealt a bad hand. I don't think king knight is evil, just an idiotic dick that got exetremely lucky.
LEMME KNOW WHAT Y'ALL THINK OF EACH KNIGHT'S VOICE! I wanna get a good voice down for all of them so please be critical!

Beheaded, Buried, Burned, Drowned, Burned, Zapped, Crushed, Plummeted. The 8 knights of the Enchantress.
I love the plague knight voice. Wonderful.
this is really well done, great job man!
I really liked this, ecspecially Propeller Knight, as he is by far my favorite knight in the game.
Ok, why are there scenes of “endings” at the end of each story?
I haven't seen a shovel Knight dub, Thanks Max!
Jesus Christ, were they all executed at the end?! That's fucked up!
No matter how many times people say that propeller knight is French, I will always see him as British.
Unofficial Lore: Plague Knight was trying to make ways to save people, but if nobody tested it nobody was sure if it worked. And he probably wasn’t that smart at the time, because he really seemed to mess things up. A lot.
Can't believe I didn't see this sooner, the voices were really great!
It's a shame you didn't wait for the dlc.
3:11 Great cover / dub! I love the polar knight part-
Although Spector and plague are different they can still work. As Spector Donavan coulda just been some basic thief only a few knew
And plague knight coulda gone from simple to nuts because of how he was treated. I think this is still holds up
Shovel Knight! Loved this one, Max! Great job! :D
At least I'm not alone with Propeller Knight being french.
It’s weird seeing g them all wanna die deep down
It’s kinda sad but nice in a way showing that there still hunan and with how shovel knight has them havinh a happy ending it’s. Nice
I feel like most of the knights didn’t deserve some of the things to happen to them, most of them were either ridiculed by society or something else happened
Although most chose their path
king knight definitely deserves it tho
I just started playing Shovel knight, thanks!
0:43 he didn’t fall like that, he fell literally
Maybe it’s just because he’s my favorite knight, but I feel like Treasure Knight’s voice should be deeper. Great video anyway
Alas, if only I had seen what was coming...
((Crying)) I'm so sorry
to me thy sound like thy are resitting the green lantern oath
Do not worry king knight is OK this is his clone
to bad this was created before Specter of Torment, just imagen how Specter Knight's speach then whould be
Same thing with king of cards
It’s true I was to greedy and I suffers for it
The stories and pictures at the end of the stories, made my emotional.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Really well done
King knights backstory was extremely different
That’s deep man
Funny how like 4 years later king and Spector knights origin story’s are revealed and not very close to this but good rhythms
I mean king orgin is similar to this he was ordinary person who dreamt of being king and became one who also fears the law
Esta súper él vídeo WoW
i feel so bad for all of them... jesus
Feel bad for them!
Then we got more lore
Good
I take it this comic was made before the DLC?
Amazing!
Wow, I feel bad for you guys 😢
Well I’m sad now
RIP
I loved them all :D
This is dark

Why in Earth would Propeller Knight sound like a sexy German?
Heyo!Hows it going?Hope you have a nice day!
Ouch

I don't get it.
At the end am I committing suicide?
Propeller Knight well yours dosent look like suiside it looks more like you were pusht of with some weigths
Are these their actual stories?
Nah, just some headcanons of the artist. Thanks to the expansion campaigns, we know Plague's and Specter's backstories.
Max Out Of Ten specter still has a sad story for both
Gettin' deep into communism be like:
Stop
I still love this comic, even though all of those backstory's are wrong
