You have a subscriber for life from me! Checking out at the library was one of the first places I remember getting tingles, so I look for library videos often. I've seen "librarian ASMR role play" videos before, but none of them really did much for me in the way of tingles because they were lacking a very important element. They lacked the card and stamp process! I know it sounds silly, but that's what did it for me back then, and you are the only one that includes it, so thank you very much!

Also I used to sit at a table in the library with others reading and pretend I was too,
In truth I was sat there to listen to other people quietly turning pages,
I always used to wonder what they would think if they knew what I was doing
On a similar note I was sat in Rome airport once waiting with an old couple just sat next to me
The woman was knitting and I was feeling tingles from the sound of the needles clicking together but as we all do I was hiding the emotion
I glanced over and saw her husband really close to her just watching her hands knit with a contented smile on his face
I was convinced he was getting the same and thought had he ever told his wife?
He must have been about 80 and I wondered if he had spent his whole life wondering what it was but keeping quiet not knowing just how many were the same.

There are microscopic parts of your skin, your sweat (even though you think there's no sweat), and your grease that all contain your DNA. I think the love/hate of the finger licking might be a generational thing. Those of us over a certain age grew up with this being kind of the 'norm'. It makes it easier to turn the pages of a book or paper. I don't think it's nearly as common these days.

    • @FeistyFox420
      @FeistyFox420 6 лет назад +36

jenpogurl I loved it! She does a great job of adding in trigger sounds without making it to obvious that's what she's doing. It's so awkward in other people's roleplays when they stop to do something like randomly tap on things a bunch...no one does that lol If they made it seem like they were abesnt mindedly doing it like Mary does, that would be so much better.Hers are the only role plays I watch.
      I am 21 btw.

I was thinking the absolute same. I also grew up with the adults around me licking their fingers to turn pages all the time and now when I see / hear it in videos like that, I get a reeeeaaally nostalgic vibe. It's not even the certain sound. It's just the thing itself. Makes me feel like.. home, I guess? OK fuck this, I'm getting weird again

In school when we had library ,or quiet time like when taking a test, and one of the adults would be reading or working at their desk these were all the sounds I remember so fondly. The best part is that you don't tap on every object you can find! I really enjoy ASMR but I HATE tapping sounds and most ASMR artists tap on everything WITHOUT giving you a warning in the title... it's so frustrating. I know tapping in very popular but it literally hurts my brains :/ and I never watch a video where it says it has tapping... but very often the tapping just happens, without a warning and I feel like someone screamed in my ear :/

I have never seen or heard anything like this. Looking at the playlists, this seems like one incredibly talented lady. I have a serious toothache, and it’s 6:30AM where I am. I’ve tried soap ASMR with no talking, and I looked up soap with talking just to see what it’s like. I watched this woman carve soaps from goodwill, and this was next to play. I decided to check it out, and my tooth isn’t bothering me anymore. Im going to try and finally get some sleep, and I’m just so thankful and grateful. I haven’t gotten “tingles” yet, but I feel comforted and relaxed. I loved the whispering, typing, books cracking, finger licking page turning, and even the beep was just so right. I don’t understand why I feel this way, but I’m just happy I can finally rest! Many many thanks from Florida! RUclips is kind of amazing. I have premium, are there ads in this? Just curious.

I definitely remember feeling/experiencing ASMR in the library-mainly from the librarian scanning /booking the books I had borrowed in and out haha 😂 this brought it all back ! Done so well thankyou from one of your British fans x

Oh wow that keyboard is so wonderful for ASMR typing! Feel free to use it in another video if you still have it 😘 so many wonderful triggers in this video and from childhood before I knew what ASMR was but I sure knew that I loved those gentle sounds. The turning of book pages of different textures, the clicking noise of a particular pen as it writes, writing with said pen on crinkly paper, listening to others in the library tap on a keyboard…so many tingles! Thank you for this great video 🥰

Watching this during covid I’m both tingly and horrified to see you licking your fingers while touching community objects 😂😂😂

I enjoyed being a library monitor when I was a school. The best part was cover to cover book inspections to make sure the book was still in good reading order.
There were loads of admin process for process sake mind, I never got having to scan the book, then manually enter the isbn number after that l, just to make sure it was the right book. Think that’s over process control lol. But I enjoyed it.

You should do a roleplay where Lynette is at a book club! You could even turn it into a series

I miss the days when libraries were that quiet. Now, kids are allowed to run around and people speak in a regular tone of voice.
