This is by far one of my favourite movies of all time, my favourite King film adaptation next to The Shining and easily my favourite drama movie of all time and favourite of 1994. Tim and Morgan give phenomonal performances, actually everybody gave a phenomonal performance, the direction from Darabont is perfect (it’s a shame that he hasn’t directed much he’s very underrated), and the ending is beautiful. This movie gets a 10/10 from me
Would you believe I still haven't seen film all the way through bro? I only remember seeing the very end of this film on HBO when I was flicking through channels on the remote I do really want to watch it all the way through someday? Solid job on the review👍👍
I saw the for the first time months ago, then I saw it again yesterday and man. I adore this film. I'll go as far as to say it's possibly the greatest film ever made. That film is litterly better than my favorite movie of all time, this movie deserves the praise it receives.
Great movie, love the cast, tension, Story, Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman, Clancy Brown, & Bob Gunton were Great one of my Favorite Stephen King & Prison drama Films
An all-time classic right here and its a shame that it didn't do better at the BO. As much as I love The Green Mile, I've always loved this movie more and its sad that they don't make EPIC dramas like this anymore.
My favorite film of all time right here. The directing, writing, performances, score, etc are some of the best work done I've seen in any film imaginable. This movie also gets me emotional every time I watch it and I believe Morgan Freeman & Tim Robbins should've received oscar awards for their performances. This also definitely should've been the best picture winner over Forrest Gump for how good this movie is. I'm also glad that this film is on your all-time favorites list as well.
This is a classic film. Masterpiece love it. Definitely would be high on my list for favorites of 1994. This or pulp fiction should have won best picture over forest gump ( which I don’t mind but I like this one a million more times than that film)
I first saw the film on a bad vhs tape quality it took a while to get into but the escape scene got me going, I agree on the music but it took me quite a few viewings to realise Andy Dufresne was innocent, then I thought ah a trope in Stephen King prison dramas wrongfully convicted people. I read novella too but why after it looks like the film was one of the most faithful adaptation of Stephen King's stories.
I Love Clancy Brown he’s 1 of my Favorite actors, very Charismatic & Talented, I Love Bad Boys 1983, Highlander, Blue Steel, Pet Sematary 2, Shawshank Redemption, The Guardian 2006, Pathfinder, A Nightmare On Elm Street Remake, Cowboys & Aliens, Homefront, & Stronger are my Favorites Of his
I Like Tim Robbins he’s a Good Actor, very Talented, Not 1 of my favorite actors but I Like him, I Love Shawshank Redemption, Mission To Mars, Mystic River, War Of The Worlds 2005, Tenacious D, & Green Lantern are my Favorites Of his
I agreee the green Mile is a good film. But it’s too long and very deprsssing not a film I rewatch. This one is definitely much better than that film IMO
The Shawshank Redemption is not only my favorite Stephen King movie, but it’s my favorite movie of all time

One of my fave films. A beautiful blend of realism and optimism. 😊
One of the greatest movies about friendship and overcoming the odds ever made.

No...the guy got mad at me cause I disliked Godzilla 2014, freaked out and never chatted with me again. That was almost 10 years ago now.
