This is one of the best games for the NES hands down! It is fun, makes you think, it takes strategy and skill to beat and its a classic Disney cartoon what more do you want?
I remember before I figured out how to actually play this game, I used to get to Launchpad and have him take me back to Duckburg (without actually knowing that was what he was doing), and thought I beat the level. Way more fun when I finally figured it out.
The only think I don't like about Aqualung's reviews is the monotony of his voice. It's kind of sleep inducing. But aside from that, everything is top notch. Great work!
I had this game and its sequel when I was young, never could beat them till last week when I dug out my nes to try and get through all the games I never beat. I like ducktales 2 better but they're both great.
whats the song you use for your intros? you probably asked answered this somewhere else, but i want to get it, cause it sounds great! oh and great vids.
"It doesn't really matter which one you pick first." That's only partly true. You can't get very far in the mines if you don't have the key from the previous levels.
Nice review. You don't try to be funny and you really know all aspects of the game. Cool! p.s. What do you think about the remake of it? Any suggestions if they'll mess up something?
don't forget to jump and explore every nook and cranny diamonds or cakes can be found in even the smallest place you can fit also its a luck of the draw with the cassettes sometimes a ghost or a diamond
I think i had part two of the game - are you going to do that one to?You fight a golden guy similar to the one from the last level of Virtua Fighter at the end i think.
Speaking of old, I have an old Archie Comic book from 1990 that has an ad for this game. It's been a pretty damn long time since the olden days of Saturday Morning Cartoon syndication. You can blame the internet and cable TV for that.
I love aqualung but everytime I listen to this song I have to konvince myself that I'm listening to a song about a small boy teasing other children and not a song about a kid toucher. LIke the creepy docktor from "Excell saga"
Launchpad's service always looked kinda useless to me before. I was never one to go for a high score, as it usually has no meaning and is only a number you achieve.
i just got this game an im having trouble with it a bit. I didnt have this in my youth but im becoming a scrooge mc duck in collecting NES games. it's fun, but for some reason it's hard for me
something in general... i can very hardly understand your voice. you speak very fast and you are kind of.. erm.. mumbling. not easy to understand for non-native english speakers :-) other than that, keep up the good work!
I love the commentary on this video. The comments are not only witty but absolutely hilarious when he delivers them so nonchalantly.
20 Years?!? That makes me feel old too
Same here. I wished DVR was available back then, because I'd have to rush home from school to wash it
Thanks to this review, I am gonna watch the series again. :)
I remember the 1987 series for "DuckTales" too.
Wanna feel wicked old? Duck Tales is over 30 years old now... Yeeeeeesh
Going on 35 years next year. Don't know where the time went lol
Wanna know something really scary? This video is almost as old as Ducktales was when this video was new.

Launchpad flies around like a drunk lol

Should we tell Scrooge that was King's Old Back Scratcher?
OMG, I just discovered a secret area in the Amazon level watching this!

Mrs.BEAKLY!!! Oh My God I haven't heard someone say that in....well...about 20 YEARS! HaHa LOVE IT
After yesterday's news, I had to come watch this video again.
Are you possibly gonna do a video on "Duck Tales Remastered"?
That's interesting, I got Gyro's diamond give-away bonus once, and I had no idea how that happened. I also didn't know of a '(very) good' ending.
The only think I don't like about Aqualung's reviews is the monotony of his voice. It's kind of sleep inducing. But aside from that, everything is top notch. Great work!
Simply HOLD the direction pad (meaning to the left or right) when your pressed up on the item and press the hit button.

But little did you know, a meme has sprouted from the game’s soundtrack!
God I loved the cartoon show. This game was hella awesome too.
I know right? I remember playing this game when I was a kid.

GREAT CARTOON LOVE TO SEE IT AGAIN
I love aqualung but everytime I listen to this song I have to konvince myself that I'm listening to a song about a small boy teasing other children and not a song about a kid toucher. LIke the creepy docktor from "Excell saga"
Ah, Still have this game game, great game.
i love the series and the game. i have the game too. the original nes cartridge.
Ice cream health. How do you think Scrooge would feel if a sea monster ATE HIS ICE CREAM?
That is Jethro Tull's Aqualung. I don't think I spelled his name correctly.
What song is it in the beginning?
nice I loved this game!!!
thats rush n attack aqualung did a game review of it too
"Now see how this first one I see doesn't send me anywhere? Remember that." (7:51)
Launchpad's service always looked kinda useless to me before. I was never one to go for a high score, as it usually has no meaning and is only a number you achieve.
@simpsonsfantotheend My guess is that Aqualung is an actual gamer.
I enjoy it! Thanks a lot!
8:37 where are the ghostbusters when you need them
Hey! At that intro screen, the kids are colored green, red, green! What the heck?
dont worry Aqualung. i feel old too lol.
your a much better game reviewer than AVGN
sorry, just read a comment! and ignore my last one! still love duck tales, great game and the movie was the best movie ever!
good times indeed!
Plunger Chuckers...lmao
Yeah, I saw that in the second part of the review. Guess I should've watched it all first before leaving witty comments. :/
The singer for Jethrol Toll sounds JUST like Trey Parker.
@Miodosmrodo I meant thing*, damn it
@jameygamer they do look way to similar to be coincidence.
That doesn't change the fuck the Jethro Tull guy sounds like Trey Parker.
According to his computer, Scrooge is on Pangea
There's actually a third ending to the game if you end up with no money.
its funny i just bought this game in some store
That's Green Beret
@jameygamer Lol, stoopid Launchpad.
i just got this game an im having trouble with it a bit. I didnt have this in my youth but im becoming a scrooge mc duck in collecting NES games. it's fun, but for some reason it's hard for me
I just thought the same thing.
There goes Capcom and their shameless recycling again. XD
I fell asleep reading your comment
