Thank you for noticing Akàni Simbine our SouthernAfrican Champ 🏆
Danko!

@@giffysstiffy8874giffytuck post a video. We believe but we still want to see.

Honestly one of the most slept on sprinters of all time. He has been arguably the most consistent 100m runner over the past 6 or 7 years. He deserves more respect
When he lands His countrymen carry him to his house on a litter.
It's nice to King of South Africa.
I definitely slept on him. Never again.

Akani Is so underrated. He has over 40 sub 10. He's just missing the medals
He about to pass Bolt?
@@jaredbowen3527 ?
@@jaredbowen3527Pretty soon, yes.
@@jaredbowen3527 Very close. Man I wish I could remember the sight, but I read somewhere that Simbine is Top 5 most most sub 10s in history.
I'm gonna try and find it real quick
His billboards still stand in South Africa. His country hopes they put his star on top of the Eiffel 🗼
Glad you mentioned Simbine. He’s been around for so long near the top but never quite gotten the medals. Hopefully 2024 is a different story

Simbine ,Isaac Makwala and Asafa Powell have always been great medal contenders in bigger stages who failed to perform at their level best
.
They always perform well when it doesn’t really matter sadly
Appreciate the humility to go back and add to a previous video. Good video giving props to an athlete that often escapes recognition.

I hope Akani Simbine will finally get a medal in the Olympics. He is due for a reward of his hard work.
He's gonna choke in the final like always
@@jhadebredenkamp97 I know, seen it many times before. Just hope he'll get at least a medal for his career.
@@galufatiooYea this. He does choke when it matters but at least one medal for what's been a fairly consistent 6 or 7 years would be nice. It would make a world of a difference to an athlete who's showed up so many times, had some pretty good performances over the years.
That incredible 48.45 split by Adeleke also came after back-to-back 49.64 & 49.48 splits from the previous day! S/O Paulino who split 48.93 & 49.98 to help qualify DOM's Mixed 4x4 for Paris. That split by Simbine makes sense seeing how well he walked down Coleman & Kerley the previous wk in China. Would like to see him improve his 19.95 (+1.7) 200m PB from '17, but he just doesn't run enough 200s unfortunately. Would be cool if history is made in Paris with 2 Africans in Simbine & Tebogo winning Olympic 100m Medals.
That would be a beacon of hope for Africa. An African that arrives at one thing can get there in all things.

Love Simbine..... about time he's getting some love from this channel 👍👍
I appreciate that when you make a mistake, you own up to it and make sure we have the correct information. That is sadly lacking in much of journalism.

Yes, seems to perform well in small meets & Global Semifinals.
I think if he can get a good and faster start he can ran 9.80 🏃♂️
🏃♂️
His best is 9.84. Definitely possible

His speed endurance has improved phenomenally. I am looking forward to him representing Africa and joining Tobogo on the podium 🤷🏽♂️💐⭐️🎊🥂🎁❤️🎉
Speed endurance??
@@wesleytwiggs7687yea it’s the ability to hold top speeds for longer than others. More or less interchangeable with “strength” when it comes to sprinting
@@thedailystride5407 been a runner all my life and never heard that shit. Just looked it up and apparently that’s a legit term. You learn every day I guess lol.
@@wesleytwiggs7687 haha yea it’s a thing. Kinda weirdly worded but I guess runners can be weird at times 🤣
I am afraid Tebogo is a different animal, he looks like he could challenge or come close to Bolt's 100 record if he puts in a bit extra effort at his peak and he is yet to peak! while Simbine looks like he is at his peak and is barely as fast as he ever was in the upper 9.9s.
Hey, guys whats your thought on this ??
...World Run Championship, which would showcase the global talent and excitement of running as a sport.
Similar to the Cricket World Cup and the FIFA World Cup for football, the World Run Championship would bring together nations from around the world to compete in various running events. This event aims to elevate the profile of running and provide a platform for athletes to showcase their skills on an international stage.
Here are some key details and comparisons to existing sporting events:
Format: The World Run Championship would feature a variety of running events, including sprints (100m, 200m), middle-distance (400m, 800m), long-distance (1 mile, 3k, 5k, 10k), and marathons. The competition would be structured similarly to existing World Cups, with group stages followed by knockout rounds leading to the final.
Global Participation: Like the Cricket and Football World Cups, the World Run Championship would be open to all nations, providing an opportunity for athletes from every corner of the globe to compete against each other.
Grand Opening Event: The World Run Championship could kick off with a marathon involving all participating countries, serving as a grand opening event to symbolize unity and the spirit of competition.
Broadcasting and Spectatorship: The event would be broadcasted globally, allowing fans from around the world to follow the action. Stadiums hosting the competitions would draw crowds of spectators, creating an electrifying atmosphere akin to other major sporting events.
Promotion of Running: By establishing the World Run Championship, we aim to promote the sport of running and inspire participation at all levels, from grassroots to elite athletes. The event would encourage a healthy and active lifestyle and serve as a platform for aspiring runners to pursue their passion.
I believe that the World Run Championship has the potential to become a flagship event in the world of sports, attracting widespread attention and excitement.
Wow! He's so f'n fast! I don't know if this is his year but the way he looks, you never know! Look out Noah!!!
Don't understand why so much work is being put into relay splits.... Depending on where they get the baton in the zone, their times could be wildly different and not very indicative of their speed at the current time. Also quit it with the clickbait, you make good enough content to not have to clickbait.
He reminds me of Talou coming just short, and hopefully, this is his breakout year.
Akane Simbine is the new champion for the Olympics. He has the opportunity to be champion. Kerley. Coleman Noah all have the chance as well to take the title, but we will see the games are upon us. Go Akane South Africa is with you. We might even see Letsile, Pillay and Wayde do us very proud for Africa too.😊🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤
Akani simbine is really great but just very sadly doesn't quite get it right at the very important time 😢. Big shout out to tebogo, the guy's out for great stuff 👊🏻
it's lovely to see local South African athletes perform so well.
I think he’s a genuine threat this year. Relay team could be in with a shout, too.

This Year's Olympic Games This Year Will Be
HOTTER THAN JULY 👋😇🥇🔥💙💯❤️🙏💖💖🏆
Power season
Bob Hayes was clocked at an 8.5 anchor leg split on a dirt track in the 1960 Tokyo Olympics 4x100 meter relays
The Royal "We"
And he is one of the best ever. Beating all the top names.
We are very proud of him in South Africa.
We South Africans pray that he medals ,his closing speed is giving Noah Lyles, seems like he has trained to be stronger in the final meters of the 100m ,he looks promising
Always do man

The jet’s were on, he kicked on the afterburners
I would love to know some "vitals" of the runners during the race.
How many heart beats?
How many breaths do they take?
What is their blood pressure during the race?
I hope Simbine wins a medal in 100m, but with Nyles, Tebogo, Hughes and Blake, it will be tough.
Respect❤
Go Boy Go.Make S.A proud...🖒
Akani Simbine - They dont know, what we know! 2024 Olympics...
Akani Simbine is a top class sprinter.
Is he REALLY tho?🥴
☘️Adeleke needs to be on Anchor.
Under 1 hour gang
I didn't realize Fred Kerley had a 100m PB of 9.76 😮
You are all about what ifs.
Tebogo will win and two American get on podium
Well done.
Damn bro ran faster than J.Cole did from the beef
Wow very consistent ❤
If you paid attention to Akani, you'd know he's not consistent
Unless you are talking 4x400m relay splits you may as well not bother. A running start for, what amounts to less that a 100m leg, is not legit.
bro was also against the dragon of dojima kiryu himself
Thanks
Nice!
Simbine has to be watched closely because he’s young and sturdy and ready. These relay splits are not 100% because it depends when the baton is in hand and full throttle in place.
Noah and the rest better watch out for this Olympics.
I was wondering why you weren't hyping Simbine more in your recent posts. I think head-to-head matchups are more indicative than times, but the training trajectories might also be a difference between the southerners and the northerners.
I hope he get the Bronze, no joke 9.98.
Did you know that the last leg is not a true 100m, depending on the athlete’s marker
8.92😂
DREAM ON FOR NOW!!!!
🙏🏾
Unrelated, but close to 6 months in the year, and none of these pro sprinters have legally gone sub 10 😐. If Olympics we're earlier on in the year, that teenager would've swept everyone out
I just dont see anyone taking down Noah Lyles aside from Tobogo maybe? But Akani has good chances to place 3rd maybe. If he beats Tobogo or Lyles then it would be an incredible upset.
there must be some abnormality in gravity on the bahamas island
This is akanis year!!!
Meh
This time france is for africa in male sprinting events
Why you not talking abt the new come up, the Namibian sprinter that just ran 9.88??
It scares me how easily Simbine beats Kelly, Omanyala, and Coleman, versus how easily Tebogo beats Simbine.
400x1 splits should not be a thing at all.... ask Courtney Lindsey with a 10.42 split, and everyone else running low 9 or 8 something. just take the finish and divide by 4, that would make more sense for all runners.
Kerley won’t make the olympic team
Bold call. Not impossible though. He’ll have to beat Lyles, Coleman, bronell, miller(high schooler), and about 10 NCAA athletes rising in the ranks
@@thedailystride5407 I think Lindsey and Lyles are making the team
@@thedailystride5407 Bednarek, Lindsey, Bracy, Charleston, Baker...
Some love for Simbine 🎉 took you long enough!😂😅
Let me correct you, Fred Kerley is not a genuine medal threat for sure
Everyone said that and then he became the 100m WC
@@jhadebredenkamp97 not this year Buddy
That wasn't Fred kerley, that was Chris Bosh. And that wasn't Christian Coleman, that was Wayne Brady
Lolz
Where’s Athin Mu ?
Reminds me of Walter Dix
I compet in basketball track and feild and compettive gaming myself
The men's relay was disqualified
Why?
Simbine will medal in Paris........no question........not sure which place though.........
As a South African myself, I doubt he will
@@jhadebredenkamp97 I think he gets the bronze or silver.......and if he runs really well, the gold is very possible. There is not really a clear cut favorite for the 100M imho......just like in Toyko when the dude from Italy surprised everyone.....same is going to happen in Paris and it might very well be Simbine doing the surprising......
He is from South Africa, not southern african. Akani the South African.
The issue is he’s a 9,9 athlete. He will medal once he drops a 9,8 in a final
And let's be real, he never runs fast when it actually matters so-
Jamaica never sends their best team there
Coleman slowed down. Simbine was better at maintaining his pace.
I think he is running right where he always does. I scratch my head on Fred, Christian and Akeem. Those three are running slow compared to where they should be... don't give me that training to peek mess either. They should always be under 10Flat.
How is Coleman running slow? He ran a 10.04 into a -0.1 headwind. For comparison Lyles ran a 10.01 into +1.7 tailwind. So they were both in similiar shape in April. It's May now where we will see more sub 10's. Even Bolt opened up his season with 10.0 multiple times.
Lmao I guess he reads the comments 😂 and posted as simbine video

Fred Kerley is a medal threat? In which reality?
Are these serious questions?
@@jhadebredenkamp97 Yup. I wouldn't even have him in the top 5 this year for the 100.
I forgive you
8.8 second 100m wtf?
running start
The passing zone is about 10 meters long so he had a good head of steam when he received the baton. However it is a blazing time.
😂
Don't give this relay shit.
