Love everything except the wash. I’m always going to dry clean my jacket so why would Iput a wool or silk etc. in the pre wash of water?

Hi. I have a question about the Chanel material, namely whether this procedure of soaking the fabric is necessary before cutting the jacket? Because I don't really understand why this is done? With fabric I start working like Chanel and I don't want to spoil something or can you explain it.😃

Hi Emilia, so the rule with all fabric is that you absolutely must pre-wash it before you sew it. This is done to pre-shrink the fabric so that the garment doesn't shrink after you have finished sewing it. For this jacket, because of the fabric type, I know that I will hand wash it in the future, therefore I chose to hand wash the fabric before sewing it - in cold water, and by agitating the fabric instead of scrubbing it to make sure that the fabric is not spoilt. Hope that helps 🍒

And I still have a question how do you wash the waist chanel coat in the washing machine, manually or chemically with detergents?

It depends on the fabric you used to make it, also keep in mind the fabric that you used for the lining. So you need to know if it is made of wool? Or is it synthetic? Or silk (for lining)? By googling how to wash different types of fabric you will understand how you need to wash it. Because I have a silk lining, and mixed fibre boucle fabric, I decided to hand wash with a little bit of detergent.

Galaxy ... what do you mean?

I mean that the dye that makes the water dark, and the gold bits floating in the water (that came off the jacket) makes it look like a galaxy :)
