Never in my life did I imagine I would hear the words "Pick up the bonfire and put it in your pocket". Elin has a ton of QoL that Elona needed and seems easier to digest. Truly one of the games of all time.
Thank you for explaining the user interface. As someone taking an interest in this game, I was completely overwhelmed with the sheer amount of options and elements of the UI, nevermind trying to figure out what I should be doing to get off to a good start or how to obtain what I need to make this and that and take care of myself. Other 'beginner' guides I've seen just skip straight over these essential things. It's like someone trying to teach you methods of baking a pie when you don't even know how to get the ingredients and make the pastry yet.
@@IxianMace I've played tons of roguelikes and I got tripped up a lot. Almost all of these are things I had to go look up to fully understand. Glad they help!
To add to these good tips - you can use the campfire from your inventory by right clicking on it. No need to put it on the ground and maybe forget it. That also lets you use it in town where you can't place it down.
Oh, awesome! Was hoping you'd do something like this. It took me an embarrassingly long time before I noticed the existence of the purse - I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to deposit orens in banks and the like as a result, haha. Thanks for the guide and looking forward to future videos.
Pro tip: don't even care about base building in day 1. Head straight to tinker's camp, do 2 quests and get the hammock first. If you feel bold, head straight to the casino and macro your way through the basketball minigame or save scum your way through blackjack to get the Ehekatl body pillow, tax chest and some furnitures for passive income (this is a low priority thing, I recommend doing this when you get your first tax bill and head for palmia instead of Mysilia solely for this and opatos altar)

@KingMadDog7 so I think in my main save I have so much fire resist I became fire immune? I had to get a cold blanket because of shatters but fire seemed to stop burning my inventory

No need to put bed in hotbar. You can keep bed i inventory and there is an icon on the left(F5) that quick use your inventory bed with 1 click.

Also there's the fact that you can visit yowyn to get all the misc skills for resource gathering along the way.
Hell yeah. This is like going to farm static warmth in Qud off a new character. Only a couple more hundred hours and I'll be there in this game.
thanks for the vid. could you please do a more detailed farming guide but under 5 mins?

how is your game zoomed out that much?
I shoulda said this part! Bottom left by the mini map, there is that wrench looking icon, if you click and hold you'll get a zoom bar
