- Žižek appeared alongside Alenka Zupančič and Mladen Dolar once again for Deutsches Haus at New York University. The discussion around the topic of 'The Politics of Sexual Difference' took place on November 14th 2017, and the participants discussed the varying topics from philosophy and psychoanalysis to Trump and the Soviet Revolution.

The three of them together work very well. An easy flow, no clashing of egos.
I just love that zizek dressed up for the occasion, and sat there quietly for so long during the intro. He truly respects his friends here
yeah... that was really wonderful to see.
Wow, they talked for about 20 minutes about the various books they were writing and then Slavoj's opening gambit was to talk about hardcore pornography. Say what you will, but he really knows how to get people's attention.
It is interesting but altough he touches those topics he never is tasteless even if he is vulgar, just like I imigaine Lenin to be like (without the swear words).
He has a way of sort-of rambling his way through things and spending time on small aspects of what he's talking about, that ends up really amplifying the vulgarity of things somehow.
F**K this guy. All those sitting around him also. Why? Because they never left europe.. they never left the euro-centric white mindset and they never visited
far away nations, where poor people survive inspite of all the odds. Psychoanalysis for zombie turds. A closed society, rotting from within. Slobbering Zizek the flag bearer of.
This is like the most complex form of emotional intelligence.
I get a surplus enjoyment from anguishing over wheter those tiny bottles of water would hold enough water to quench my thrist! ahahaha

Thanks for uploading. Would it not be a good idea to add Alenka's and Mlanden's name on the title? Yes it is true they are the "friends", but it could be important to make them more visible and open an alternative to the already cultivated personality of Zizek.
That was not my decision to make, unfortunately. The problem is that I would have to cut the title of the presentation due to word limit set by RUclips. I hope everyone knows who they are, and it's also directly in the description.

It's possible to have a proposition you already knew be affirmed or reaffirmed in a different manner as to shed new light on it, whilst remaining the same proposition nonetheless.

What IS sex? - my expectations is the philosophy and the words, sentences and phrases that was written and still reminds inside the book.
What he said about how the metoo movement could lead to an atmosphere of victimhood where you might have to play a victim to be able to penetrate a cultural sphere, and be recognized and listened to, was so dangerous to say back then, at the height of the meetoo movement, but is coming true today.

It is absolutely uncanny how identical in thought and expression(?) these 3 are. The same vague, undefined and ultimately failed analysis. They all, particularly Zizek, register about a zero on the epistemological veracity meter. Though, I have to admit to having a perverse envy of their ability to rally for so long with a stream of consciousness that has zero content or valid extrapolation toward something that even resembles a theory. What a sad waste of time and intellectual effort. In other words - what is remarkable, is how wide is the gap between the APPEARANCE of meaningful discourse - and actual meaningful discourse...I hear nothing but a continuous stream of qualifications and equivocations. Nothing in the manner of a formal philosophical structure or development here...But I should be more respectful - let's just call this "a virtuoso theatrical performance". Bravo!
