She's a doctor, right? Can't she ask for security fot what the guy did to her?
This had the best handling of a drugged scene that I have ever come across! Seriously, the best! First of all, he restrained her so she couldn’t get to him or herself. Then not only did the ML NOT take advantage, instead he called a doctor for to come treat her. And then after treatment he sat in a chair near her, but not touching her, to keep an eye on her. This is stuff that I’ve seen before and it is appreciated, BUT it’s what happens next that really impressed me.
They actually gave us a realistic portrayal of how a victim would react in this scenario. When the FL wakes up she doesn’t just brush it off like it was nothing (which is what we often see 🙄), instead she wakes up really scared and traumatized. The ML doesn’t immediately grab her to try and comfort her. He is tentative when her reaches for her, and is respectful when she flinches away from his touch. And he reassures her that she is safe.
And for the hallelujah moment - He immediately takes her to see counseling!!! Gasp! 😲 I was so pleasantly shocked by this! I didn’t think Chinese people (according to dramas) even knew what counseling was! (Kinda like peepholes 😉)
And finally the FL actually continued to act like a traumatized victim would! For a bit. Which wasn’t at all long, but let’s be real- it’s a short drama and the fact that all of this was included at all is something to be impressed by! I know I am! 😜

this sold me on giving this a chance. I usually despise this scene because it’s brushed off as nothing. Even worse when the ML “saves” the FL h goes ahead and rapes her and it’s treated as romantic.
This was the highlight of this drama for real

The problem with rape drugs is that the victim forgets everything during the drugged state, which is why this kind of drugs is the rape drug of choice.
However, it seems in Cdramas, what they use is an aphrodisiac which makes the victim uncontrollably horny, relieved only by having sex. The victim stays conscious and is sometimes willing to have sex with the person they like. In any case, this plot is too cliche and does not portray reality, just as the exaggerated stereotypes and their behaviour.
love the Grandfather calling his grandson an “ asshole” at the end, he just loved his Grand daughter in law. ❤
The grandpa’s hilarious! He also calls him the brat and smelly boy. 😂
The show wasn't great, but I was incredibly surprised to see the writers include a ton of things audiences have been asking for. Some examples:
* When the FL was drugged in an attempt to assault her, she did not recover instantaneously and in fact sought therapy!
* When the ML was seriously injured saving the FL near the end, this did not solve all their problems; instead the ML still had to prove himself over time, before the FL would get remarried.
* The main characters discovered that they had been married to each other early on, and their new relationship was given time to develop.
So I applaud the show for listening to, and respecting the intelligence of, their audience!! Thank you thank you for giving us these things. There were still issues in the writing, acting, and pacing, but it was so refreshing to finally get some realism, that I absolutely had to give this a thumbs up.

What I don't like is the brother to the girl that wants him was dead he had the ml promise to get a heart to fix her for him and their was no nasty man as this brother in the original they made it be very crappy
I hate the fact that they always abuse women in most of movies,why do they always have to get back this kind of story telling is really becoming boring,
These movies depict a horrible culture of abuse towards women by their parents, siblings, spouses, colleagues, businessmen, inlaws... and the women seem to be ok with it

What do you mean by a 'horrible culture', you're dumping on top of a whole people's, you think american tv is righteous? it's vulgar and violent, and will show you every type of atrocity, that's their mainstream Tv.
You think there is only abuse in China, it's everywhere, this is a fictitious script, chill out about insulting a whole peoples, they make these scripts because people will watch it, and yet, you're both here, am I right?
It is easy to misinterpret the storyline if you don't follow Chinese language. There are many versions of this drama on youtube but by far in this the script writer created far more characters and subplots to create the misunderstanding between the two leads.Synopsis: Forced arranged marriage by the Grandpa of the ML to the female(FL). He does not know how she looks like , as he has never seen her since two years of marriage. He divorces her but later finds out his ex wife(FL) is the doctor who treated his presumed lover who had miscarried. ML falls in love with her and relentlessly pursues her(FL) after the divorce and ends up getting remarried to her. Sub plot being the presumed lover is actually the sister of ML's friend who had died saving him so he felt obligated to look after her.On top of it he was also on a guilt trip that she had become pregnant after being raped at the bar where he had left her unattended. He only clears this misunderstanding much later in the drama. The 2nd male pursuer of the FL in this version is very volatile towards her which was not the case in other versions. PS: Watched this version due to Wang Yiran. He has a very expressive face and is a very good actor specially when it comes to expressing agony or performing intimate scenes. As usual the english subtitles are atrociously incorrect so kindly do not rely on it to follow the storyline.
Thank for the synopsis. The English sub titles are very bad and it hard to follow and very confusing. I don’t know the Chinese language so it very hard to follow the story line with such bad translations. I am 40 minutes into and I feel like giving up. This so very frustrating for us who don’t speak Chinese and rely on English translations.
I'm watching it anyway. It's great acting by the actors. I look forward to the kissing scenes by the ml and fl. I read in a comment that they were both a couple in real life. Idk bout all that, but he is a great kisser.🤩
I watched and totally understood what you just stated. People who don't "get" into the drama will only see the surface pieces. He clearly stated 2fl was a sister-figure, no romantic feelings OR desires for her. 2ml was just too-obnoxious! I watched it for the misunderstanding to be cleared, plus I like both main leads!! I know this story is a remake but I really don't like the male lead. He wonders why his ex-wife hates him so much and wants nothing to do with him. She doesn't see him during their whole marriage. Yet when she becomes a doctor, he asks her to save the woman who ruined his marriage. Not to mention the reason their marriage failed is because of him. I mean. how stupid can he be? But in the end, as always, they end up back together.
Such endings of the stories are annoying.

It would be refreshing to see these male lead end up with those scheming girl getting cheated on and having to raise a bastard child and not knowing it and the scheming girl getting what she wants a wondering husband who’s never home and who slaps her everyday.

First time that i see a real couple playing together in the same drama as leader ML and FL 🥰. They are so cute together and personally i felt and seen their chemistry ❤. Great couple, i wish them a lot of happiness ❤❤
This drama has been released last 2023 and I've watch it many times. The best thing about this drama is no more cliches and twisting the story with nonsense plot. It doesn't take long for ML to realize his mistakes and discover the real identity of his wife. And its good to see him suffering coz of his neglecting attitude to his wife.

Almost missed out a wonderful web-drama, many thanks to those who were willing to write a detailed review. I truly appreciate it. We were given more logical and realistic storylines after the drug scenes, as others had mentioned in their summary. If we are patient enough to keep watching it, we might find ourselves understand that actually ML was not a whole trash like common scumbags in other similar stories. The ending wasn’t rushed either. My favourite person: ML’s grandfather. I also like the relationship between FL and her brother.
One question though: does anyone know FL’s name. I know ML is 王奕然 Wang Yiran. But not familiar with FL’s.

Ok. I've watched the whole drama now and it's a great ending. A lot happens from the beginning to the ending. Never a dull moment. Worth watching again. Great actors.

I can already tell from the first few minutes of this drama that I hate the ML. He's mean and as dense as a brick. In real life, he'd only have 1 nite stands cause no one would tolerate his crap, ambiguous relationships, no boundaries, and just plain meanness. This FL is smart, has a high paying good job, and is highly skilled. Beyond that, she is loyal, loving, and respectful. She's way too good for this JA, and she really just needed to be single or go ogg with a worthy 2nd ML. I would have told the ML you snooze, you lose spud! He's not worthy of a 2nd glance.
Please go back and watch where he most definitely explained his relationship with 2fl and you'll realize there isn't/wasn't anything on his part romantic toward her, just HER delusional fantasy. The 2ml was even worse in reputation and his abuse of her!

He was only helping the SFL, he wasn't in love with her in any way or fashion. He genuinely liked the FL when he met her and wanted to pursue her. What then is his crime besides letting the SFL think due to his help that she meant more to him than she did? Please go back and maybe watch this with all I have said in mind. Cheers mate 🤗
I have watched alot of CDramas with this Storyline and looking at the Comment Section they're all hating the ML. Not saying he was a saint but you can't blame him for divorcing someone he doesn't know, forced to marry and has no emotional connection to. The only wrong thing he did, is allow the SFL to think she meant more to him than she did. Anyhow watch for your own and don't let other People's comments delude you thus stopping you from watching this.
To be frank he is a very good kisser in every drama .

Saw a documentary about chinese wives in the past they had to accept there husbands having another wife been cheated on countless of times and were not allowed to get jealous or there husbands could divorce them think drama writers are still living in the past were they always make the abused tortured cheated on poor wives and girlfriend take them back

U turn a blind eye to what your husband does n pretend u don’t know. And u hope he dump the mistress n hope he doesn’t divorce u or have kids with her.
Esse casal é ótima química. Marido mais ignorante como casa e não vai conviver com esposa. Na verdade ele se apaixona e encanta pela ex-esposa da mais raiva, pois ele tinha preconceito dela ser mulher campo e casamento forçado. Porém convivia com uma mulher sem escrúpulo , e não acha nada de mais ser casado e não cuidar esposa. Mereceu todos fora da ex-esposa. Mais é drama e casal protagonista é muito bonito juntos. Marido até lutou pela esposa mereceu chance. Bom assistir.

Enjoyed this drama. The dumb ML' s character did not understand how his actions effected FL his wife. ML showed his emotions rather than being cold hearted. FL put up with this till she did not want to.They divorced. After, the evil masters were premantly jailed, CP got back together. FL stood her ground dealing with ML. ML' s assistant was very nice looking. Handsome ML & pretty FL. Liked her brother & grandfather

Why use the old `amnesia` ploy in so many Chinese dramas? It is bad enough watching a video film drama with no true title/name or even the names of the main actors, but, watching the same worn out plots in most every story is just too boring!

If I am thinking about this current drama, then below is correct. In the beginning, she was pregnant by ML's deceased brother which was a lie. Later, evil woman was rapped at a wine party after ML left first so he felt responsible for her pregnancy. Watched more than two similar dramas back to back tdy. Not remember a 3rd pregnancy was explained, possible just mentioned 😵💫

What disapppointing about this drama is the FL while she's a doctor but she didn't portray a strong character at all - instead she's always weak and act like she's just an ordinary girl and helpless.. and she forgave ML easily? and accept his explanation after two years of abandonment? doesn't make sense!! even if he got hurt - but still the whole scenes is just doesn't make sense. Never show that he really liked her coz from the beginning only him being mean to her and even stand for the mistress, loss the memory and let that scheming girl accompanied him - so messy!!! He said she was the most important and won't let anyone hurt, but he was the first to hurt her and let her kidnapped and hurt by others while he's close by.. AWFULL!!!

God, this was bad. I mean come on, really?!? Amnesia....AGAIN?! Ignoring the fact, that he released the guy who tried to rape her and had killed her grandpa, I was still able to give this drama a chance, hoping, that she would never ever take him back but then they pulled the amnesia plot so I went to the end and she really remarries him. Dropped.

Gostei da série é muito interessante. A história é muito boa mesmo tem romance tramas conspiração violência moderada tudo que uma boa história deve ter. O elenco é fantástico lindos demais talentosos com atuação maravilhosa. O casal protagonista é fantástico lindos demais talentosos fofos profissionais adoráveis com atuação maravilhosa demais perfeita me encantaram e conquistaram com atuação excelente o romance é enfatizado e eu adorei ele é divino realmente lindo ela é graciosa linda demais ambos são expressivos e emocionam quem assiste fica na torcida parabéns.
