I love these Raiden Jet games but for some reason I have never gotten an emulator to run them! I’ve tried on numerous platforms from the Steam Deck to raspberry pi to regular pc. I wish I could play them because man they have incredible non-bullet hell classic shmup gameplay 😩
Damn, that thing with the medals is up there with the least fair things that I've ever seen in video games. Reminds me of some console party games in the 2000s, where if you didn't know "the secret technique" then you had no hope of being competitive. If one of your mates knew it then it was obvious within minutes that there was one, and the rest was just a farce.
Is this the inspiration for all these Raizing shmups? I’d sure like to think so because this reminds me a lot of Battle Bakraid. Oh and hey, the Raiden Fighters collection just got announced for modern consoles! Will buy for my PS5 once I get it.

Man that part when you trying to get most of the fairy(without killed them) and still survived in the last is crazy, incredible play!!
