- This was at the HBCU competition in Lithonia, GA @ New Birth. This was our 2nd set. WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!!! Songs are No Joy, No Strength(James Hall), High and Lifted Up(original), and Give Him Praise(original)..COMMENT!!

They Have The Range got me here! WOW! How much I love this! From the SINGING, the CHOREO, Sis is SWINGIN HAIR IN THE BACK, THIS BAND IS 🔥🔥🔥🔥! And the fact they did all that in about 4 minutes and that was their FIRST song. MY GOD. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

As a former member of this great choir, GC, Im glad to see you guys singing and performing at the highest level! I can remember this HBCU competition in NYC in the early 90's! To the person speaking and negatively judging this choir and forrum, I pray your strength and maturity in Christ! God wants a yes, a praise, and the glory. God does not need folks bashing the gifts he placed in these or any of his children ministering songs. Great job choir! Loving the olympic analogy previous comment!
i agree as a chior member at picketrucker umc Lebanon Tennessee it's really a blessing to be able to perform and sing sometimes i do get a little stage frightened but i push myself to perform

THIS the PERFECT mix of a choir’s vocal diversity, showmanship and ENERGY. I remember seeing this back in the days of 90’s midnight musicals.
The blessing is, its on record 🙌 Awesome choir and musicians having fun and praising God.
I am not surprised that they did not win that year! BECAUSE A&T has been about ministry first, musicianship in a close second, hence the tough audition process, we never had to submit to the gimmicks that other choirs had to submit too to cover up the fact that they were not near as talented as we were....When you have to step out of what you are known for to compete. Something is going to lack. Still the best choir in the world to me! Love ya'll...

This choir is reviving me on the spot! Im listening to them while I write my dissertation proposal... Let Him use those voices for the ministry and edification of the body! I don't pay much mind to the comments talking about the gospel competition being ungodly and a mockery of God and the church... People compete using their God-given talents all the time for their own enjoyment and so that others can appreciate the gift that God bestowed on them. Yall did a phenomenal job! God blessed all of you to be incredible singers and performers... and yall SANG and PERFORMED! The end. No one looks down on a runner running in the Olympics with a cross hanging around their neck.... this is no different. Praise God for your gifts and talents! *steps off soap box*
Loved the visual artistry and I was elated because of the fact that their movement (s). did not affect the strong voices. No need to sound off calling it "extra activity", it's who we are as a people and how talented we are. No other races can touch how we present gospel music today, especially with these choirs, To God be the Glory!!!

Our dance ministry(EOP) does not dance to every song for one. Also there is more than one person in the auidence, somebody dancing can be ministering to one person and the choir can be ministering to another person.

Only at HBCUs do you find gospel choirs this big... I went to a white school (Clemson) and we thought we were doing something when we got 40 people to show up on a regular basis

Hey NC A&T---We just competed with yhall @ Pathmark in NY. I'm a tenor in the Rutgers U Liberated Gospel Choir. This video, just like your piece @ Pathmark, was amazing!!!! You guys are truly amazing. I might just come down to NC A&T for grad school. Will they let me sing???

speaking as an alumnus of both the Choir and A&T, they performed at a "GOSEPL COMPETITION" so you have to have "extra activity" as you call it, we called it showmanship. If you want to see a choir stand and sing visit the local church wherever you are. I'm not trying to offend anyone just frustrated with peoples opinions about things that choirs "are graded on". GC!!!! U KNOW!!!

@ToneDefAT UMMMM I was there and the Choir that won this particular year Benedict College I think was ON POINT IN EVERY WAY!!!!!! Sorry but it was and is the truth!

@JaIstSchonGut don't count yourself out. be happy with who you are. There are many types of choirs white, black, and mixed choirs that sing just as passionately. If this is your desire go for it. God Bless!

I love all of your visual recordings. I just hate the camera cannot pan the whole choir the whole time so we can get the full effect of all the movements in the songs. I feel like I am missing part of it because you don't know who to watch because everyone is soooooooo on point. That is what makes up good choir everyone is so involved you want to see all of it.
