As a Dacia duster owner I find this bigster fantastic. The problem is that if the production model will not look as good as this concept, people will get really disappointed and maybe willing to invest some more money in a Skoda instead. I really hope Dacia will not turn this dream in a nightmare and will keep up with the customers' expectations. I also think that the military style will be a main selling point for all the "operative" dads outside there 😁
Brazil, Colombia & Argentina all had the Duster Pick-up - Renault Oroch which many people wanted in Europe, But now our prayers were listen and with Dacia Bigster, Europeans will have a much bigger advantage..
sad :( It's designed in Romania by Romanian engineers. They should sell it under Dacia brand. But it's cool...Dacia is slowly becoming the most valuable brand in the Renault -Nissan Group
Is a Renault engine in a Nissan chassis (Duster was developed on Nissan X-trail chassis that was also used on Juke , Qasqai, & Renault Koleos, Kangoo si Captur)..This new Bigster is mentioned it will be a new platform that will allow hybrid propulsion and latter 2025 it will be possible a full EV propulsion.. we will see..
This is a big step up from the Duster and actually a big step from anything they currently produce, it's good to see a big off-roader from Dacia as it's the only manufacturer in the group without this product, attractive masculine car, logo gave me Delorean vibes
Damn, what a beast, absolutely gorgeous, in a brutal way... but to be fair, it doesn't remind me of XC-40. The overall shape looks almost... American. Beefy, boxy, agressive. There is a Jeep-like aesthetic to it, and the proportions and the muscle-like boxy fenders remind me of Ford Raptor... but at the same time, there is something of an asian influence (maybe Mitsubishi Pajero?), yet I can't pin it down... also, Dacia uses Renault's chassis, and I wonder which japanese brand cooperated with Renault for an SUV... Also, if the production model is at least as capable and cost-friendly as their Duster SUV, it might be a marvel...
If you check the Dacia Duster’s concept and what car they actually produce it’s a huge difference, hope this time they will not go too far from the concept
My dad's first car was a Dacia 1300 based on the Renault 12. It was a dependable car. Stayed with us for quite some time but eventually he replaced it with a foreign one back in 2009. I wish he'd keep it. It was a classic. As for the Bigster: it's amazing to see the evolution of the Dacia brand. I hope they will keep at least 90% of the design for the actual production model Lots of Romanians will say they don't like it but look at the sales in the last 5 years. Duster and Sandero Stepway sold more than Dacia did in the last 40 years. And that says a lot.
When Iooked at the concept this morning, I thought that it was a concept for the new Duster. It has some key lines that reminded me of the Duster. Specially if you consider the front grill of the Duster sold here in Brazil by Renault. To me, if this car get into production, it has a big chance to be the new Duster.
@@user-aRb00d3r Oh really? Nice. If they decide to make a new Duster, they should go in this route, will be way more attractive than the current model.
I think that ... A right english accent it's very difficult for a Europe latin spoker. 😆 The Dacia Bigster looks cool! Hope the production car looks like these. What a step in design! Wow
Happy you’re sharing your thoughts about something from Romania. There’s the Dacia Sport (a coupe from the 80’s that has the same windshield for the front and back) would be super dope if you would make a modern interpretation of it.
11:39 That may be because volvo has a simple design language so they are easier to make into production cars If you look at the dacia duster there are lots of similarities betwen it and the bigster The name is similar too :)
This looks cool !!! Sad no american car maker or japanese car maker know how to build cool looking SUVs any more... only Europeans designers seem to have some aesthetic sense left !
You can see the ‘Duster’ was the starting point with several design queues. It’s a good looking thing better looking than the Volvo you’ve likened It too. I can see Jeep and Ford influences in the proportions and styling. I hope they make it without too much watering down and at an affordable price with reasonable build quality. A possible breakthrough SUV for the brand.
Hello from Romania! I always wanted to see you redesign a Dacia modern car (Logan, Sandero) and transform it into a sporty car, because in real life they don't wanna make a sporty car. :)) ❤✌

I love it. If it turns out like in the concept and prototype, i am pretty sure it will be my next car. But i have my doubts, because when they presented duster at Geneva it was one thing, and when it came out...it was a completely new vehicle. Check it, you will know what i mean instantly. :)
Really liked the design. However, having a foot of snow outside and gravel-roads - I wonder how the many nooks- and crannies will collect dirt as well as keep snow/slush ? The logo on the side looks cool - but how hard will it be to keep clean?
I just hope this one will be built exactly like this and remains in the usual Dacia price range. The projected pickup would be my #1 choice! To me, the Bigsterlooks like a Landrover.
If you have time, please take a look at the first Dacia Logan model and compare it to a 2002 Mercedes ML, viewed from the sides. You will notice the Dacia is a cutout from that specific model. Mindblowing... and nobody noticed it yet...
Dacia was a ultra cheap Soviet era car here in Greece just like Lada, Zastava, Wartburg etc. The model I remember mostly looked like a 70's Renault and sone small pickup trucks. However after the Renault takeover they have a good reputation for honest good cars and also affordable instead of just dirt cheap of the old days. They bring so many new models with every passing year, they are getting their design identity instead if copying from the parent company and I believe they will be a big player in Europe. 👍👍👍

Design-wise, I agree with that soft line, and in my opinion the hatch lid or the whole rear of the car looks a bit dull and unfinished. I would like to see a more cluttered look, like the front end/bumber/skid area. The D-pillar looks odd. The roof railing needs a wider slot, can't see to fit anything there.
