A complicated question:
I obtained American Passport based on Asylum claimed about 20 years ago. I have property in Pakistan. I did visit Pakistan many times and stayed there more than a year many times.
Now the question is that I always entered into Pakistan on my NICOP but always exited from Pakistan on American Passport. Keep in mind New Regulations enforced by Present Ministre of Interiors ´Mr. Mosin Naqvi’.
I never filed my Tax return in Pakistan. Please advise????

The law applies on pakistani only
If you are tax resident (180 days) in Pakistan then you have to file Tax return in Pakistan. Property owned by yourself if for investment purposes then you shall file tax return in pakistan ( 180 days rule) if you are not tax resident in Pakistan then you need to file it in USA as foreign assets and claim double taxation relief from FBR.

Sir, i have two bank accounts in different banks. Profit from one bank account is PKR 3,300,000 per annum and profit from other account is PKR 1,900,000 per annum. Total profit from above mentioned two bank accounts is PKR 5,100,000.
My question is:
1) is section 7B of income tax ordinance applicable to me or will my profit income be taxed in income from other sources as normal income tax?
2) as section 7B of income tax ordinance states that this section 7B is not applicable if amount of profit exceeds PKR 5 Million. So limit of PKR 5M of section 7B of income tax ordinance is for one account profit or it applies to total of both bank accounts profit?? Means kya two bank accounts kaa profit add kar kaay pkr5 Million ki limit dakhein gaay kaa pkr 5 million hai yah iss saay zayada hai yaah one bank account kalye yah section 7B kii pkr 5 million kii limit hai??

Use NICOP+Canadian passport for travel, that way u enter and leave on Cdn passport. Don't need to carry or use Pak ppt.

AOA: I live abroad and work there, I do not earn anything from Pakistan but have not changed my nationality still hold Pakistani passport inspite of living abroad for 32 years. Because I send roughly around 1-2 lakh rupees per month which would contribute towards Pakistan’s foreign reserve and help the economy. People who are making laws may be blind to pass draconian laws. One or two incidents of bad behaviour from FBR or ASF at any airport. Foreign dwelling Pakistanis will block the source of income for crooks to make property in Dubai and fill their dream European avd North American banks. In that situation you do not need India to attack you, your economy and soldiers standing on the border will crumble into soil. May be few insects who has amassed wealth by stealing might survive but nothing is going to last forever. The best thing these people can do is leave Pakistan and let public decide what sort of people they want to govern them.

Retired persons also have to file tax returns if they are tax resident in Pakistan.

What good, except waste of time, money/energy would it be for everybody to handle/file a NIL tax return, knowing retired/disabled person will never have any taxable income, why not CBR should auto exclude them as they know those persons age from NIC but we cannt expect such to happen in Pakistan!
