Ok i am an ex Pakistani and have renounced my citizenship and have been issued a certificate from M/o Interior Pakistan that i am no longer a citizen of Pakistan. If i come and go on visit visa will i be stopped ?? And am I required to file return if at some stage I am issued POC in future.

I obtained American Passport based on Asylum claimed about 20 years ago. I have property in Pakistan. I did visit Pakistan many times and stayed there more than a year many times.
Now the question is that I always entered into Pakistan on my NICOP but always exited from Pakistan on American Passport. Keep in mind New Regulations enforced by Present Ministre of Interiors ´Mr. Mosin Naqvi’.

The law applies on pakistani only
If you are tax resident (180 days) in Pakistan then you have to file Tax return in Pakistan. Property owned by yourself if for investment purposes then you shall file tax return in pakistan ( 180 days rule) if you are not tax resident in Pakistan then you need to file it in USA as foreign assets and claim double taxation relief from FBR.

I think this imported F. M should have some respect for those senior citizen who have crossed the age of 70. I don't know a common person of 70. At this age, what his income will be. Retired persons also have to file tax returns if they are tax resident in Pakistan.

I think this violates the basic right to freedom of travel and should be challenged in court. This is against the fundamentals of Pakistan Constitution.. ( which I personally think isnt a fair constitution) but still this is a far cry even from that

Use NICOP+Canadian passport for travel, that way u enter and leave on Cdn passport. Don't need to carry or use Pak ppt.
