Bring back the Baseline Bums!!! and this is one of the best videos yet. Great job everyone putting these videos and getting the history of the Spurs and Fans!
I loved it. Loud, brightly lit, and electric. Sports fans are far too civilized these days. I remember the 1990 series between the Spurs and Portland. Portland went up 2-0 with the first two games over there, but the Spurs struck back to win games 3 and 4 in SA. Listening to those games on WOAI, it was so loud in HemisFair, PBP man Jay Howard was basically yelling during his broadcast; and at that, it was still hard to hear him
The Arena was special. My cousin and I used to have $5 cheap seat season tickets. This was the season before David Robinson. Willie Anderson was great but the teams stunk. The ushers didn’t really care back then and by the 3rd quarter we’d be almost court side. Free Big Macs if the Spurs scored 125 and won. Pistol Pete’s after the game. That place was SCARY LOUD. The last game in the Arena was a playoff loss to Phoenix. The Admiral had just tied the game and there was a timeout. The PA played Naughty by Nature’s Hip Hop Hooray. That was the loudest I’ve ever heard anything. I was genuinely scared the building was going to collapse.
I’m Pat Tallman’s granddaughter. This is one of the only times I’ve ever gotten to hear his voice clearly. The Voice of the Spurs! ❤🎉
That is so cool. You have any cool stories from his time with the Spurs?
Are you single? 😂
I miss that building good times going to the games with my dad ..
WE HAVE THE BLUEPRINT SAN ANTONIO!!! THIS IS HOW WE NEED TO BE SHOWING UP FOR OUR SPURS NEXT YEAR
Tickets were cheaper
My dad, Pat Tallman was the arena announcer. My siblings and I grew up running around this building and watching games. Such great memories. ❤️

My mother tooked me to the Spurs games at the Hemisfair Arena. Great memories. It was very loud with a friendly atmosphere.
This reminded me and my best friend and all the games we went to and sat in the obstructive view seats. Great Memories.
