Moto Trip Serra do Montemuro

This itinerary invites you to discover what was described by the renowned Portuguese geographer, Amorim Girão, as “the most unknown mountain range in Portugal”. Despite this, the Montemuro mountain range is the eighth highest elevation in mainland Portugal and the third highest south of the Douro, with remarkable and preserved biodiversity, which earns it classification as a site of Community Importance in the Natura 2000 Network.
