I have done a lot of stuff. I got an idea on how to replicate some of my underground homes with this concept. I just was tired of dealing with people to bend the pipe for me. If you look up Viking Shelters on RUclips, you will see some of my videos. Instead of the Quonset hut I’m going to create a bit stronger greenhouse version of 2 3/8 pipe 2 foot on center with metal roofing screwed on to create the form that I will then Shotcreete and spray foam etc.. I loved your video. I like stuff like this. I’m a builder and have been building for 30 years. Thanks again, brother.
We buy from Green Zone or Greenhouse Technologies. We use one of two methods. Have a look at our complete course here. livingseeds.co.za/livingseeds-workshops/polytunnel-building-101-workshop-online.html
That was awesome, my friend thank you so much. Can you do it with thicker gauge steel? say 2 3/8 galvanized pipe? Any ideas on how to do that? I know it would be a little strong to push that around a frame like that but I’m sure you’ve done it. Look forward to your response thank you.
Thank you for the comment. I’d run a length of pipe into the end of the 2 3/8’s to use as extra leverage. Your biggest issue is going to keep it in place on the frame. Have fun and let us know.
@@LivingseedsFarm Thanks for a valuable content Shaun, where are you guys based? im in KZN,stanger(question1), whats the length of the steel pipe (que2) , where can i purchase these from?(que3), what do you use to pin those still pipes firmly on the ground(last question)
We use wire. The first and last hoops are anchored to y-standards in the ground. Those two hoops are wired together across 30m. Then the rest of the hoops are put in place and wired to the 30m wires.
I assume you are using pipes sections of 6m long? When you put up the structure, how far apart are each of the hoops? Length of the tunnel is then as long as you want? Loved the video. Would like to see more. Thanks

The whole video is just 3 min long, if you don’t have the patience to watch a 3 min video, you’ll never be able to bend a tunnel frame easily WITHOUT having to weld anything.
You can build a similar jig template with, let's say, pallets. Could be cheaper and easier to buy a broken trampoline from a scrapyard or online marketplace and rent a welding machine for a day, which is super cheap. Don't moan like this. It makes you seem useless. Challenge yourself.

Dave thank you once again. Will look at your channel as well.
Hah! I have an old trampoline frame, this is awesome! Thank you!
My pleasure.
Great video. Where do you get the covering from and how is it attached?

Hi, where do you guys get the plastic covering from and how do you secure it to the frame?

What size of that ring bro
It show's you that "low tech" can be "best tech"
Yup. It works like a bomb.
Hi Shaun, great tip thanks 👍🏻
What size trampoline is that, I assume 3m diameter trampoline and then you stake the hoop ends at 4m apart?
Yes, you are 100% correct.

Thank you, what is the radius/diameter/circumference of the trampoline frame? Don't have one, need to make an alternative.
Hi Frederick it's approx 3m in diameter.
Great video, thank you! Where is best to get the plast/covering for these tunnels please? I am west of Joburg.
hello ..👋👋👋👍👍.. how do you connect one hoop to the next one ...
We use wire. The first and last hoops are anchored to y-standards in the ground. Those two hoops are wired together across 30m.
Then the rest of the hoops are put in place and wired to the 30m wires.
Wow this is so brilliant anso easy
Thank you.

For this size tunnel 7m is best. Weld on an extra meter to a 6m length.
Hello, great video!
Where do you get the piping from ?
Thanks a lot
6m from any steel supplier.
7.2 from some specialist suppliers.
Brilliant!
How do you anchor them into the ground?
We just have locating pins in the ground to keep it in place.
Great
What diameter size of the bender
I think it's 2.4 meters in dia.
What is the average cost to build a tunnel please
We have not priced one recently. However it’s well under R10k

Question : to make 12 mtrs wide/ width high tunnel , which circle diameter would i need ?
I am talking about the round circular tromboline frame
At that size I think a high tunnel would be a better, more robust option. 12m wide will also give you 10 - 11m high.
Genius
Thank you.
❤️❤️❤️
yeah great a huge metal ring with custom welding that I could never build, super EASY. hate clickbait bullshit

Thank you Hannes.
No need to weld anything at all except making the poke longer i.e. 6m to 7m long.
