Always great to watch these come together. And your fantastic modeling work is one of the main reasons I slowly have gotten back into building models. Slowly building up to being able to use all your Enterprise builds, especially the lighting tips!

Glad you're enjoying working on the batmobile Boyd, personally I have to admit I can never get into Batman let alone the original TV series I was always a Spider-Man fan myself. But I'm glad you're enjoying the build and hope you're feeling better.

Love the colors on that show, too.
Few people realize that "technicolor look" of that series and the original Star Trek was intentional to help sell the lower-definition color TVs on sale back then.
That saturated color look is another thing that makes me like these old films and TV shows, too.
Even black and white back then has a vividness that's missing now.
So few films today take advantage of color this way; they want to emulate "real life" and motion pictures mostly look so drab now. They no longer produce 4-strip technicolor film -- they probably didn't even back in the late 1960s(!) -- but the look can still be duplicated even with HD motion picture cameras.

Shows like Bonanza was one of the first color shows to sell tv. It went on for about 12 years. But they don't need to do that today. Shows should be more realistic in its color palette.

      As in all of them?!?
Do you appreciate how boring that is?!?!

A 10 cent comic in 1939, hard to believe many were still only 12 cents into the early 60s! Larger volume I spose 😊

Boyd, you got lucky. My bracket that fit over those four lights was almost impossible to fit on. I think the main metal part is just slightly tweaked on mine. The lower cover also required extra force to snap it in place so it was flush.

When you described the beautiful head-on photo in Book 4, that reminded me of a meme pic I saw once.
Have you ever seen the pic of Captain Kirk and the Gorn in the Batmobile? It's glorious!

Stay tuned for next Bat Update on this Bat Channel!
Meanwhile, Boyd will bag this installment's instruction manual in the mylar bag one of the Batman collectors sent him to preserve the magazine for eternity. It will NEVER be read again! LOL

Had to chuckle a bit when you said you hadn't encountered any small parts on parts works sprues before this. The Star Trek Enterprise D kit, which Fanhome also picked up from Eaglemoss' collections, the majority of the window inserts are individual pieces, and come 10 to a sprue. You can imagine how many of those there are.

@21:21 -- Heh. The rear windshield assembly of the original clamshell/bubble canopy!
I heard in its original version -- with the bubble canopy complete -- that the Lincoln/Ford Futura was a REAL microwave for anyone who had to unfortunately sit in that car for length of time.
They must have kept the camera shoots BRIEF for Glenn Ford and Debbie Reynolds in their movie, OR they pumped in cool air constantly. The air conditioner IF they had it didn't work well from what I understand. The bubble canopy acted like a magnifying glass for the sun's rays!!!!
They painted the Futura red for the movie because the original white finish didn't photograph well.

I still don't know why the 2 lights on each side of the bar don't light up, because they do on the original
