Sorry I forgot to mention my problem. The lower portion of my Toshiba Double door fridge was not cooling, I opened up the Defrost timer which had probably heated and was all black. I searched Fridge Market in Murree road but could not find Defrost Timer N0 TMDF704ED1 . I found no 702 which the shopkeeper said will work fine. I have replaced it myself, but the cooling is not good even the freezer is not very cool , it freezes water but very slowly, the thermostat is on full cool. in the lower portion also the cooling is not good though some cooling is there. I have not checked the bimatelic thermostat. I have ordered Defrost Timer from Ali express and will be delivered in second week of June. Please advise. I live in Islamabad and do not want to take my fridge to a mechanic because I dont trust them ,and had destroyed a Japanese Panasonic fridge earlier.
Dear Brother , I replaced my defrost timer switch but I could not find No.704 installed originally. The shop keeper told me that even 702 will work so I installed 702 . Will that make any difference The cooling is still not good.
The way to test the heater without cutting the sensor is, first you cut the wire on both sides of the heater, then you connect the two wires connected to the plug to this heater wire, then you can test it by connecting it to direct current, do the job efficiently.
