Sivasankari ma'am deserves a Kalaimamani,Gyanpeeth, Sahitya Academy and a Padmasree at the least- for this monumental work of compilation and translation of diverse language works from within India. What a daunting task she has accomplished!
Revathy , lady super star of Tamil cinema ...the characters she played until now give positive impact on us ..Revathy Amma is the first organ donor at India
First of all thanks to both Revathy and you, Sivankari Ma'am for sharing this wonderful interview. Two giants in their own fields. Loved every minute of the interview. I would like to add my twopence to Revathy's question of why the society could have changed from a matriarchal society tp a dominant patriarchal society in Kerala. To the best of my knowledge, between the 10th and 14th centuries there was a lot of trade to Southeast Asia, from Kerala. The traders were mostly male seafarers from Kerala from the ports of Cochin. During this period, it is likely that the society that was originally partiarchal (like the rest of India) changed to a society where the women took charge of the home front and responsible for running the family, since the menfolk were out of their homes for most of the time. Later this trade came to an end in the 18th century and when the men came back home, the society went back to its original patriarchal form, of course a dominant patriarchal society. I do not know the connections or details but thought I would share my thoughts. Like Sivasankari Ma'am said, more research is needed to answer this question from Revathy. Thanks again for your time.
I agree with Sivasankari ma'am. For years i have made it a practice to gift only books and potted plants as gifts for occasions or when i visit friends and relatives.
Brains can think and can have imaginations use it purposefully witness it and u will be reading it while u are writing it and leave the impression to readers as much as it motivates and not deconstruct unwind for failing purposes . Stir imaginations and let the impulse trigger the reader to use his imagination to perception receiving what has been said through the text format says siva shankar i madam to little lady super woman Revathi who is artistic and thoughtful person to self and loves to express herself through fascinating minds such as writer siva shankaris

Completely agree. I always feel that we must sign a petition for the Jnanpith award to be given to her. She deserves it more than anybody else.
