i understand that opinion, and you are right in a sense that it could be a music video for some other songs (I wouldn't say all) but that doesn't make it a bad music video. This video is an experience on it's own, something creative and with multi layers left to be interpreted by the individual viewer. The music adds to it, much like how when you are walking down a normal street, and put your headphones on with a good song, it suddenly feels like you are having an experience, like you're in a movie. That is what music can do to a "Vague and generic" music video.
