The fact that this is normalized among all Korean entertainment industry for years and people still think being a kpop idol would be amazing😅. The idols literally work non-stop with little break and most are in debt or make barely anything. It’s normalized in Asian culture as well that people need to look, eat, or act a certain way. As an Asian myself I grew up thinking I had to be someone, study and was often put down by relatives, my dad’s side of the family literally traumatized me so I hate visiting them. I got to the point where I would avoid or hide from them when I see them. 😂

I remember abt momo's water diet, jihyo's humiliation when jyp himself asked her if she felt or think she's pretty w/ her weight. Or even how jypnstaff ignored IU whwn she tried to audition at jyp. While jyp himself keep focusing in himself as an artist, he also failed miserably in dealing or handling some of his prmosing trainees. Can't help to conclude that he had favoritism towrads some other grps. He ignored his talentwd boygrps while elevating himself, keep milking twice while underpromoting his existing grps. That's why among all companies, i still thunk yg treat its trainees better. Yg isn't probably the best but through the yrs, his artists that left the company didn't have much bad things to say..only probably the less promotions. But he hinself don't force his artists ro go on strict diet but i'm sure they all undergo into healthy diet education etc so it's all up to the artists to motivate themselves to look & feel good abt being an idol in the limelight all the time. He even let ikon, bigbang, & other solo artists bring their names, trademark etc outside of YG when tbey didn't renew contracts. And most kpop idols who become richest came from yg too.

Unfortunately every single company assigns “personalities” to each member. This is nothing new. One of the best examples is J-Hope since literally everyone in Kpop has at least heard of BTS whether they’re a fan or not. During a vlive right before DNA era Suga mentioned how he was surprised that the personality/character Hobi was given was to be the member who is always happy, silly, aka the Sunshine of BTS. Yoongi said he couldn’t imagine it because Hobi was the most depressed person he ever met, and that holds quite a bit of weight since we know Yoongi has suffered from depression for such a long time. I can’t remember where Hobi said this (whether it was during Run! BTS, an interview, live stream) but he was asked something along the lines of “what’s something that is your charm”? And Hobi replied by saying that his tears are his charms since ARMY rarely ever gets to see them. There’s been ex-idols who’ve talked about how just how strict companies/managers are about their physical appearance and how before they debut they each have an assigned personality and a certain character they all had to portray in the group. And also how idols can only let the stylists trim their eyebrows, cut/dye their hair, trim their nails etc. (I think we all had a mini heart attack when none other than the one and only Worldwide Handsome Mr Kim Seokjin uploaded a video of himself cutting his down hair with those massive scissors 😩 😅 the posted shortly after about he got in big trouble and was scolded 😂)
Also when Sunoo rolled his eyes in a livestream he quickly covered his face laughing saying that he forgot the camera was there and that he needs to keep his expressions in check. 😂
I think we all know what’s going on in companies and we all know that groups have to work their a$$es off to maintain everything, however it’s very unfortunate and upsetting hearing about the shocking conditions that were implemented on VCHA…. Especially since they live in the USA. They’re an international group under JYPE living in the USA and there’s very strict laws surrounding minors who work. I’m actually surprised that they implemented the same strict Korean standards onto VCHA. During the audition process JYP even said that he was specifically making this group because he wanted international fans to have a group that they could connect better with. He wanted VCHA to be the group that “look just like us” (international fans) and speak the same language. The girls are so talented and were chasing their dream thinking it would be incredible. I feel for them so much.

I appreciate the way this channel reports the issue in a factual manner 💯
Now KG is an idol worth applauding and listening to, if what she claims in her lawsuit statement (which I've read) is true, then she really is fighting against a system that is as inherently cruel as it is flawed. She's taking a stand not just for herself, but for any other trainee/idol experiencing actual abuse, not the I-was-ignored-by-2-people-on-separate-occasions bullcrap that New Jeans is pulling instead of taking responsibility for their statements. Those girls have NOTHING to show for all their claims and high-and-mighty words. KG has actual evidence to prove what happened to her, and what's more, she's approaching the situation correctly - by filing a lawsuit so that this issue gets resolved in actual court, not in the court of public opinion.

8:40 You can absolutely train super hard and get up to Idol status without Mental, verbal and physical abuse. Anyone who tells you otherwise benefits from that abuse in some way. Also Kpop time tables are WAY to unrealistic, instead of traumatizing these people to get them out and making money faster, take a little longer and debut them without rushing. I am willing to wait for my Idols if it means they aren't being abused. I don't care if its "your culture" your culture is fucked up in this regard and it needs to change. Just because its normalized, it doesn't make it right.

  • @Real-ranchia

The K-pop training system is not slavery, it is completely based on voluntaryness, the reason is that if it gets hard, you can give up voluntarily at any time, the door is always open, and if the trainee feels that they can't take it anymore, they can always kick the company out,, The reason why Korean trainees don't leave or give up is because they have excellent qualities and tough spirit, and they are not weak like KG.

If they control small things like hair color, personality and skin color you don’t think they are controlling your ability to “create” that’s why very few kpop idols are in categories of “artists”. Majority don’t create art. It’s bubble gum factory machines. Everything majority of the world knew of kpop. A lot of ctrl+Copy and paste. Which why for me, I don’t really rock with kpop but I rock with select groups that I think have gotten passed that tough controlled aspect of their career. But girl groups have it worse, so for me I don’t support. They want the female idols so thin it’s sometimes looks like underage kids acting “sexy” on stage (cringe). Remember the camera adds 10lbs. And if they look frail and in some aspects anorexic on screen how thin are they in real life? I hope things change.

How do we view this incident in our country? It is natural that idol training should be hard and dieting should be done,,if you can't diet, you are laughed at in Korea,,,,In fact, dieting is the easiest thing for women.
No Korean or Asian has sued the company for this problem and the media has not reported it.,,The background of this incident was Park Jin-young's excessive greed,,the next reason is that V-Cha was a team with very poor skills overall,,

KG's claim may be exaggerated, but it's probably true. The training and daily lives of K-pop idols are widely known. It's not a secret. In the Korean entertainment industry, is it possible for a company to exploit or abuse its singers???,,,,, Not at all!!!! //
If a contract between a company and a singer is violated, the singer will immediately file a lawsuit. It is actually impossible for a company to deceive the singer or embezzle or exploit a large amount of money. The reason is that the contract can be terminated.
The abuse you think of will be denied here in Korea and is an ordinary daily life. Koreans and Asians value cooperation and harmony and are collective, but your country looks strange to us. The social structure here is different from your country

I knew along time ago when the TWICE ladies were beginning that JYP was NOT treating them right either.
They were held like slaves and every aspect of their "training" and rehearsal were brutal.
Then there is the FACT that TWICE NEVER received proper compensation for all their hard work that the company did NOT pay them for.
Concerts, merchandising, Social Media events as other money making venues that generated large sums were barely if any, given to the ladies.
It was about 6 or 7 years into TWICE's run that member networths were being reported that I found just how little they had made after all their hard work. Each girl should have been multimillionaires but sadly Tzuyu was the only member to have accumulated just a bit over 2 million. The others "earned" around a million or less apiece.
I had suggested to the ladies that they EACH get their own entertainment lawyer and accountant to watch out for them.
I'm guessing that ALL their correspondence either thru emails etc was being censored by JYP.
    THAT, IS CRIMINAL!!!!!!!!!!!
I get that the ladies were grateful for being able to become a part of such a talented and popular group but at least after a year of two when the promotor/producer has recouped their initial investment, SHOULD have been compensating the talent A LOT MORE than they have been.
I know that other promotors and producer companies have done worse to their talent but as of right now, JYP is in the spotlight and should be the ones to take the brunt of the crimes.
An assault of American Hollywood entertainment lawyers should be ascending on Korea!!!

To local K Pop fans I guess seeing how idols have extremely white skin and always and I mean always hungry isn't something to notice. New Jeans VCHA and MADE:IN all going through similar stuff and varying levels of abuse while the companies have brain washed people into believing that you must be a whiter Asian and thin as a rail to show you worked hard at being an idol fits right into the standard of beauty in most Asian countries, yet the only time things ever really more toward a positive direction is when the victims are male in these resent cases they are female victims that the courts will use the " Men have bright futures" bs to NOT give any of the females involved the respect or justice they should have. I already know how my comments will be received so I ask you to go look at the burning sun case and how all the men involved got little to no punishment for what they did including the lose of life it caused and how the public and the court was more worried about the rich men whole since they apologies it was ok because they have bright futures. Its crazy to think even though its public knowledge and very easy to look up what a 360 deal is nobody does and it has been the K pop base contract for years aimed specifically at young children between the ages of 8 and 16 in these contracts companies are aloud to sexulize minors and manipulate all things around them under the label of trainee all forms of abuse is systemically know as training for a trainee once again I ask you to go back to your favorite k pop group and listen to them tell you what they went though as training and you will see they will all say almost the exact same thing while saying "it was training". Funny how all the cases where companies say the trainees owe an astounding amount of money always win in court until years later you find out the companies actually did all the bad stuff the people who filed the lawsuits say they did.

Common misconceptions in Western society // Let's talk about New Jeans and ILLIT,,they were not created for the desires of pedophiles, and here in Asia, they are never considered as perverted and vulgar purposes like you think,,,they are just considered cute and friendly female idols,,,,

Like Miyeon from IDLE, or Jisoo from BP, or Belle from KIOF. They’re not the best dancers, but they can all keep up with the choreography, and without them something would be missing.
I also feel like KG had the bubbly and creative personality that attracted a lot of fans to the group. I’m sure part of it is also bc they wanted a global girl group and she fits the American beauty standard very well, but saying she doesn’t belong in the final lineup is a stretch

In my opinion, YG is the only company that takes care of their idol's physical & mental health & protects them from malicious allegations & rumors, they also pay their idols very well. Although they make it a little too hard for idols to debut & make a comeback, but they do prefer quality over quantity. And that's the only downside of YG. Otherwise its the best & the safest company for idols.
When people said jyp is the coolest & most moral company, I just laughed looking at the severe mistreatment talented groups like itzy & nmixx faced for years. Itzy's Yuna had so much potential but is being heavily suppressed by the company. She isn't given any opportunities to shine individually. Itzy is really a neglected group along with nmixx in JYP. They are more busy with outdated & overrated groups like twice, trying to sexualize th out of them & milking them dry to earn money while ignoring much more talented groups like itzy & nmixx. JYP is an expert company at wasting talents. Itzy has simply lost their popularity, people forgot about them because of most of their songs being shitty, hence even if they release a banger like 'imaginary friend', people aren't getting interested anymore. Their only way of gaining popularity back would be through Yuna who has the best potential, star power & the most captivating stage presence & visuals to go viral but Jyp is suppressing th out of her & forcefully blending her with the group which is also hindering her personal growth. They are ruining their only chance to gain their popularity back, so there's no way of helping them. They would downplay her on interviews, the members would make fun of her in a very rude way which shouldn't be done on cam. They try to play it as if she's not a big deal & a fool. With how humble Yuna is, she just accepts it all. If Yuna was under YG, with YG's training & promotion, she would've been 10x more popular & successful on another level. Also this Zionist jyp keeps complete control over his idols & their actions, they force the idols to promote israeli products because of which many people boycotted jyp & his idol groups. No matter how good he behaves with people around him on cam, he's a rotten individual. Now you all see for yourselves how rotten him & his company is, literally overworking, starving & abusing their idols with little to no result/success due to negligence & lack of promotion.
SM forces their idols to get plastic surgery, ruining their natural looks & aura which also causes many other health issues.
And hybe pedophiles binds pretty looking minors with contracts & sexualizes th out of them to sell to the korean pedophile population. All hybe fandom are a bunch of sick pedophiles being obsessed with pretty innocent looking minors cutely dancing in front of them. In a fan meeting of illit & NJ, 95% of the attendees/fans were adult middle aged males in their late 30s & 40s & they were even trying to touch the idols. That's why hybe sexualizes th out of those minors to sell to make temporary money instead of investing in the idol's training/evaluations, so that they can also get rid of them any time they want without suffering any loses. They also prioritize connections over talent & can get rid of anyone who doesn't fit their agenda via unfair means. Absolutely disgusting.
