I didn't hate the Gen3 car like some others, but the difference in speed and in-race excitement from the last two years to this one is so drastic that it's almost unbelievable. Even friends that were driven off by all the old gimmickry like fanboost and car swaps from years ago have suddenly woken up and are tuning in.
Yeah gen 3 was alright, it just needed a functional attack mode. Now we have that with a little more grip and the difference is stark. The racing is just a lot more enjoyable now.

Should have taken Antonio's lap from the semi finals. It was a 1:10.7 IIRC.
I think they had a split screen of it in the broadcast, too.
