Having Durant allowed the Warriors to completely demolish the NBA in 2017 because there is no answer to a Curry-Durant PnR and in 2018, they barely scraped by the Rockets. Statistics show that the Warriors (without KD) are historically good at defense, but the offense isn't as good come playoffs when teams adjust for them. Their offensive numbers in 2015 in the playoffs were league average, but they won because of their defense (they were able to hold the Cavs under 1 point per possession but benefited from Kyrie/Love being injured). In 2016 the Warriors were down 3-1 against OKC for a reason. They should've lost then and there but got bailed out by Klay and their defense (Durant and Westbrook both shot really badly in game 6 and Westbrook in game 7). In 2018, the Rockets counter the Warriors small-ball by switching everything, stopping the motion offense, and leaving Durant to ISO. Even with CP3 injured, the Rockets have to go 0-27 on three's just to lose by single digits to the Warriors. To the Warriors credit, they did finish off the 2019 Rockets without KD (although that version of the Rockets was clearly not as good as the 2018 version), they swept the Blazers (albeit the Blazers missing their key center in Nurkic), and were close to forcing a game 7 against the Raptors if Klay didn't get injured. But in no way would 2017, 2018 be guaranteed chips for the Warriors, and the Warriors would still be gassed by 2019. And teams were building to start the KD Warriors, not the 73-9 Warriors. They wouldn't have dominated the 2017 Cavs, 2017 Spurs, 2018 Pelicans, and 2018 Rockets if they didn't have Durant, and if we're being realistic, Curry probably only has one or two rings instead of three if Durant never joins. Fuck outta here with that bullshit. No KD, no Iguodala, yet Curry puts up 35+ points in a sweep while his 2nd option, Klay Thompson puts up 21ppg on an abysmal 47% TS. Got his ass swept by the Pelicans the year before in the 1st round. I'm a Clippers fan, but I hate the stupid excuses Lillard gets while Curry gets constantly disrespected. The Warriors went up 2-1 in 2016 with Curry missing the first 3 games in that series, LMAO.
That’s 🧢 even though I’m a warriors fan I would say 2nd behind magic, he is the greatest pg but curry could overtake him if he starts playing like this next season
2 Izaya idk why man.. look at the overall package Steph has while always being top 5 in steals and he eventually got pretty well defensively on the perimeter especially against the rockets and James Harden! He’s the most perfect pg we’ve ever seen. But he def will accomplish more there’s no doubt about that!
ahc2599 exactly! I don’t see how people would pick magic over curry if they are trying to make the best lineup possible. Curry spreads the floor to a whole new level. He doesn’t need the ball to be dominant.
I always go back and watch these great Steph moments because the media only talks about a finals series he played hurt and the nba wanted to extend lol
Shaun Katon Been better how though? This is literally a video of Curry out playing him when it matters most, every game. And it isn’t the first time either. Remember back in 2016 when Curry gave him 40 in his first game back from injury in a pivotal game 4? He gave em 29 the game after that, and closed the series 4-1. Dame has never been the better player. Not even close.
Shaun Katon he conveniently left out CJ who routinely averages 20 plus points and essentially was their best player against the nuggets in last years playoffs, But yes Curry has a better team, he’s the engine that makes it go. We’re talking about a man who is always pushing 40,50,90 on high volume. 2 time MVP, and arguably the greatest offensive season of all time. Dame is a great player, but you’re mistaken if you think he’s better than Steph, analytics disagree with you and their head to head matchups disagree with you as well.
Shaun Katon You’re making stuff up now, Dame has never in his life given Curry 50. The guy you says shrinks in the 4th put up 17 pts in an OT of a playoff series against Dame, he hit a game winner against the Pels in the playoffs. He hit a GW against Dallas to. He’s had his moments where he could’ve been better, just like every player. That’s true for Dame to, he scored 13 pts in a game 7 against the Nuggets just last year (while CJ Mccullom had 37 and hit the deciding shot) then he proceeded to lay an egg against the warriors. You can’t name a time where he outplayed Curry. He’s 6-1 in the playoffs against him. So what games are you talking about where he made Steph sit down? 🤔 it’s never happened. If so send me the link to the footage, you’re typing in the comment of a video where Steph is as you say “bussing his ass” and i can send you more if you want. Stephs better, to anyone who really watches basketball it’s apparent.
Shaun Katon So you’re gonna pick and choose one game, instead of a whole series where he could’ve outplayed Curry. What we gon do bout Curry averaging damn near a 30 pt triple double on him? Who revolutionized the game? Was it Dame? No it wasn’t. It was Curry. Curry is a MUCH better shooter than Dame. Dame has NEVER shot over 40% from 3. Curry averages 43% from 3..for his CAREER. C’mon now.
Kind of upset that u didn’t mention that he averaged 36 7 and 8 on 46% from the field 42% from three and 93% from the line against the Trail Blazers in the WCF against one of the best PGs in the league 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I feel like this was enough to cement curry's legacy. To be able to sweep this without KD. It showed that curry was the true leader of this team. He didn't need the finals mvp which he eventually got. But even if he didn't, this series was enough for me. Imagine if klay never got injured though. Closing the last two games against the rockets without KD, sweeping the WCF without KD. And a chance to win the finals with only having Kd for half a game. I feel like he would've been top 5 with that alone.
I’m here after max “fate of the universe on the line” kellermen said that dame is better than curry but then again this is the same dude that said that Kawhi was better than LeBron when LeBron was hurt.
Had an argument with someone that said dame and Westbrook were better than curry and I just couldn’t even fathom why I was entertaining that conversation. Whole time in my head I’m just thinking “damn this dude is really this dumb omg”.
Steph brutally outplayed Dame this series. This is similar to what Hakeem did to Robinson in 1995 WCF or like Jordan in the 92 Finals against Clyde Drexler. I've seen many outplayed but this is just getting destroyed.
He has the same accurate three-points as Ray Allen, as well as the gorgeous dribble as Kyrie Irving, and the passing vision as Steve Nash. The most important thing is that he is very selfless and always based on the team.
Myro yeah I saw that. It’s all good. Bulletin board material curry still has doubters. He’ll be able to stay hungry and stay motivated. To build his resumè even higher. Jordan and Lebron as great as they are have doubters still. It just comes when you’re the greatest✊🏽😏
I just want to add that he doesn’t shoot as many free throws nor dribbles as much as James harden yet 2k always rates him better than curry the disrespect
Curry was the best player in 2019, 2021, and 2022. It’s so funny how we watch this with our own eyes but everyone hates on this guy. What they won’t say… that he’s not guaranteed top 10 all time. He literally went from Unclutch/ bad in the big moments… to top 10 all time. It literally doesn’t add up.
I wish curry played every game as trigger happy as he played in this series. If he decided to put up the amount of shots that harden does, especially with his efficiency from range, i dont see how he wouldn't average at least 33 a game.
whom ever the warriors play in the finals whether its the bucks or raptors the series will end in five or six games with warriors 3-peating they look honestly truly unbeatable
Video slick scary i really dont how anyone could guard him at his best the system they play in is routine he's the greatest shooter great handles to go anywhere on court....they gone have to give Jordan rules and chip him and play him physically....yeah its dirty but dude is threat to compete against legendary players careers to be the best ever
Curry is the greatest shooter we have ever seen and will be the only shooter in history to achieve this status he has at least another two chances to win 2 rings in the future
Now people can't say curry a bust in the playoff anymore lol Even in the past he will drop 30 but now he doing it with the impact and its so amazing to watch. So sad KD rob us of MVP caliber Curry in the playoffs in thr last few years but would they won the clip without him idk. Would've been fun to find out tho
Black Eagle100 Curry was never a bust in the playoffs. Only down year was in 2016 when he wasn’t fully healthy recovering from knee problems and he’s shown that he has the clutch gene in pivotal moments.
The song at the end that was playing when Lillard missed the buzzer beater was perfect for what was happening “You got one shot, you might miss your chance” And he missed it
No one wants to admit but Dame isn’t Dame come playoff time most of the time and most of the time it’s against Steph where he isn’t himself for some reason he forgets who is it seems. And how Portland’s head coach wasn’t fired after this series is beyond me. The man literally said after the first 2 games “our plan was to have our bigs act as if they’re jumping out at Steph to sort of have him thinking” - so you’re going to allow the greatest shooter ever space? If you don’t see watch majority of steph’s 3s in the first 2 games against Portland. Abysmal defense.

He is the greatest basketball player I've seen live, this man disrupted the game, make teams change the way they game plan, make players change the way they practice, he opened a door for undersized and unathletic players to suceed, unanimous MVP, made the Finals 5 times in a row in the WEST, 73 wins, was deemed a bust, not good enough for the league and yet he changed the way we llay this game forever and during my 18 years of life, I've never seen that, so yes he is my GOAT
@Shaun Katon Trae cant win a game for his life and Steph owns Dame everytime they play, keep sweeping the boy 🤣
@Shaun Katon how is Trae better if all he does is LAY BRICKS??? Steph never shot less than 40% from IN HIS WHOLE CAREER and Trae averages 34% for his career 💀💀 Trae numbers are SUPER INFLATED cause his usage rate is as high as Steph MVP szn, which means he wont ever get more possesions than this, which means this is Trae's ceiling and yeah HE AINT WINNING SHIT
DAME always getting swept by Steph
CALL ME WHEN THEY AVERAGE 36/7/6 AND WINS THE SERIES
THATS RIGHT, 36 POINTS, 7 ASSISTS AND 6 REBOUNDS OH AND HE AINT LAYING BRICKS LIKE TRAE, ALL IN AMAZING SHOOTING SPLITS
*THOSE GUYS AINT GOT NOTHING ON STEPH*
@Shaun Katon none of them can play off ball like Steph, none of them can shoot like Steph, none of them can dribble like Steph, none of them can finish like Steph, none of them can LEAD like Steph
They arent CLOSE to Steph's skill level LOL
@Shaun Katon thanks for admiting your stupidity, because KD didnt play a single game in this series lmaoo
Casual ass dont know nothing about basketball
He is monster.
How many times was this man fouled off ball and on the drive with no call? Ridiculous
and people say he cant win without KD literally carried them this WCF dude been my fav player since his freshman at Davidson
House of highlights boi you're the 🐐 for doing this, Thanks
Facts
This series\duel proves Who the better Shooter and PG is👌🏻
WSC
Stats over 36/8/7 as a point guard who aims to distribute the ball much is something special.
This is his second career best series so far.
1.) Curry 2022 Finals vs Celtics: 31 ppg 6 ast. 7 reb.
2.) Curry 2019 WCF vs Blazers: 36.5 ppg 8 ast. 7 reb.
3.) Curry 2015 WCF vs Rockets: 31 ppg 6 ast. 5 reb.
I just love watching this dude play man he’s nba Lionel messi no one can do what he does
Dame said they could have won if they have Melo in that year. Wtf is he talkin' about? He might drop 40 or 50 in a game but can't still pass Steph in the playoffs
Hes tripping
they're getting destroyed by the lakers, the kd warriors would beat this non shooting lakers team
@@devvv4616 The KD Warriors would've destroyed any team, lmao. Only team that maybe could contest them is if Kawhi teamed up with Lebron and AD in LA.
If he had a better team he would have beat steph. All the games were close. Trailblazers have never had a good team
@@gsl649 Lillard ain't even the best player on his team in the playoffs. McCollum has consistently outplayed Lillard in every series except the OKC one last year. If "the Trailblazers have never had a good team," why did they get the 3rd seed in the West the last two years, and people talking like the Blazers would've been a 3rd seed this year "if they were healthy." Fuck outta here with that bullshit.
When Steph became the best point guard in NBA history.
That’s 🧢 even though I’m a warriors fan I would say 2nd behind magic, he is the greatest pg but curry could overtake him if he starts playing like this next season
@@mypeuslyips8761 fair enough but i just dont see magic brimming this level of play aginst this blazers team... straight up
I think curry is better than magic. But it’s gonna take one more ring n a finals mvp for EVERYONE to agree
Anybody who says this man ain't a top 5 PG is either high or delusional.
haters will tell you that he isn't in top 5 best pointguard. kinda normal for them.
Cp3,Westbrook,Lillard,Kemba,Simmons,Kyrie all better than Curry and I’m a huge warriors fan
@@michaellarose5827 Are you high or just delusional?
azazel_ 2100 just an unbiased warriors fan
@@michaellarose5827 Delusional then.
I always go back and watch these great Steph moments because the media only talks about a finals series he played hurt and the nba wanted to extend lol
Curry averaging 33+ pts since kd went down. 🔥🔥
Been hearing recently that Dame is the best PG in the league. That ladies and gentlemen is recency bias
Shaun Katon And correction you’re right he did score 51 that one time in the regular season, I do remember that.
C’mon now.
One of the best performances by a player in a playoff series of all time 🔥🔥🏀
Kind of upset that u didn’t mention that he averaged 36 7 and 8 on 46% from the field 42% from three and 93% from the line against the Trail Blazers in the WCF against one of the best PGs in the league 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Here after mcCollum said curry wasn’t the best player on this team
Greatest player of all time
I feel like this was enough to cement curry's legacy.
He straight up cooked em
He’s Steph Curry you know who he is! 2019 FMVP incoming!
Who's here after everyone been saying "Dame is better than Steph" ?
Dame will never be better than curry
I’m here after max “fate of the universe on the line” kellermen said that dame is better than curry but then again this is the same dude that said that Kawhi was better than LeBron when LeBron was hurt.
Dont ever compare Curry and Lillard again not even in the same class
Oh how quickly they forget...
He’s back and ballin baby!!!
Had an argument with someone that said dame and Westbrook were better than curry and I just couldn’t even fathom why I was entertaining that conversation. Whole time in my head I’m just thinking “damn this dude is really this dumb omg”.
Chef Curry for Finals MVP!!!!!
Steph brutally outplayed Dame this series. This is similar to what Hakeem did to Robinson in 1995 WCF or like Jordan in the 92 Finals against Clyde Drexler. I've seen many outplayed but this is just getting destroyed.
He always does. No shade to Dame but Steph been on his ass in the playoffs for a while.
He has the same accurate three-points as Ray Allen, as well as the gorgeous dribble as Kyrie Irving, and the passing vision as Steve Nash. The most important thing is that he is very selfless and always based on the team.
@Ice Water who chokes when playoffs come by, haha, btw how do you feel about lakers gentlemen sweeping your trash blazers team?
Anyone else here after seeing Dame go off in the bubble... just to be reminded of something?👀😂😂
Yep that curry better then dame😭😭
Myro facts
x416xMusic then yesterday one of the people who talk during dame game said he don’t know if curry can shoot from deep
x416xMusic like dame
Myro yeah I saw that. It’s all good. Bulletin board material curry still has doubters. He’ll be able to stay hungry and stay motivated. To build his resumè even higher. Jordan and Lebron as great as they are have doubters still. It just comes when you’re the greatest✊🏽😏
I just realize that hood is with Portland, dam again eliminated by the warriors again 😂
I just want to add that he doesn’t shoot as many free throws nor dribbles as much as James harden yet 2k always rates him better than curry the disrespect
Curry should have won mvp again
Curry was the best player in 2019, 2021, and 2022. It’s so funny how we watch this with our own eyes but everyone hates on this guy. What they won’t say… that he’s not guaranteed top 10 all time. He literally went from Unclutch/ bad in the big moments… to top 10 all time. It literally doesn’t add up.
I wish curry played every game as trigger happy as he played in this series. If he decided to put up the amount of shots that harden does, especially with his efficiency from range, i dont see how he wouldn't average at least 33 a game.
Send this video to CJ Mccollum!! Got swept by Steph, Klay and a bunch of G leaguers!
Maann i miss seeing Steph on the court. I'm not even gsw fan.
I cannot argue Magics Numbers along with his titles but Id agree with Iggy Steph is the 2nd greatest PG of all time. but hes still climbing
whom ever the warriors play in the finals whether its the bucks or raptors the series will end in five or six games with warriors 3-peating they look honestly truly unbeatable
"StEpH dOesN't pLay WeLl iN tHe pLaYofFs" 🙄🤦🏾♂️😂
C'est le meilleur ... Depuis le Cameroun nous le suivons aussi
👌
Wow. How people forget. They totally forgot about him and Klay, and they gonna come back and win chip 4.
I miss Steph in the playoffs
Wow this series highlight is longer than lebron season highlights and its save to say Steph is the best PG ever
Miss them in the bubble
2019 Finals mvp is here
Chief Curry🐐
The painful part is to see my Blazers have big leads and lose everytime. This team has truly been their kryptonite.
Thanks HOH , was waiting for the curry post !
he deserves more respect.believe it
curry really smooth
Video slick scary i really dont how anyone could guard him at his best the system they play in is routine he's the greatest shooter great handles to go anywhere on court....they gone have to give Jordan rules and chip him and play him physically....yeah its dirty but dude is threat to compete against legendary players careers to be the best ever
Curry is the greatest shooter we have ever seen and will be the only shooter in history to achieve this status he has at least another two chances to win 2 rings in the future
Look at curry man
Round 3 MVP 🏆
I’m here because someone said dame is better
I really miss this team man
Now people can't say curry a bust in the playoff anymore lol Even in the past he will drop 30 but now he doing it with the impact and its so amazing to watch.
So sad KD rob us of MVP caliber Curry in the playoffs in thr last few years but would they won the clip without him idk. Would've been fun to find out tho
every years he is so good in playoffs
Black Eagle100 Curry was never a bust in the playoffs. Only down year was in 2016 when he wasn’t fully healthy recovering from knee problems and he’s shown that he has the clutch gene in pivotal moments.
I know that but there was a lot of haters so hopefully they will stay silent
He always choke in the playoffs. I think If warriors win championship, Looney will win FMVP
@@michaellarose5827 😂😂😂
Looney lowkey showing his value here with great screens, passing and running the floor.
No joke, I miss him a lot.
Dame will be calling Curry his daddy from now on
curry has been lillards dad since 2016
*Portland leads by 17*
Me : ahh shit, here we go again.
SO UNDERRATED SMH 🙏🏾
The song at the end that was playing when Lillard missed the buzzer beater was perfect for what was happening
“You got one shot, you might miss your chance”
And he missed it
GOAT
This s what ive ben w8ting 4 👏👏👏
I hope they can also swep their nxt opponent 😔
Curry owns the Blazers lmao
8:20 literally draws every defender but the guy who’s guarding Klay but James harden will swear nobody else gets double teamed
Exactly.
And they said dame > Steph!!!????
they on crack
2021-2022 champs
7:18
Dame range? Dame just copied bruhhh
I'm a Lakers fan, but damn I miss watching this guy in the playoffs.
Chef Curry show time!
That 3 at 0:52 looks exactly like the one from the 2016 thunder game when he hit the buzzer beater from 30 😂😂😂
Youre right! The 3 where he broke his previous record for 3's in a season
Abysmal defense.
at the very least, i dont see a Curry led team get that bad of a spanking the blazers are getting now against the lakers loll
