I'm so jealous of what a lack of road salt will do for a chassis 😁 it's in such great shape. My 11 year old skoolie is so much rustier

Looks pretty good buddy! One thing to consider is walking on the roof. Doing so may pop the panel/adhesive off because of the roof flexing. Another thing to think about is thermal bridging- so your frame is uninsulated, meaning the cold will migrate from the foof, to the frame and then whatever you finishings you have put inside which can cause condensation as well. I’d also like to mention having an emergency exit. Wherever your bed will be, make sure you have a way out incase something goes wrong in the middle of the night and have to get out. Smoke alarms and c/o are your friend. Keep up the good work.

You will still have cold ingress in your rv from the square tubing, you may need an additional slim insulator over your tiles to trap the cold. Also the tubes can be used for wiring your ceiling lights so its worth keeping them clear.

This is a very interesting video on how your adding these insulated panels. Are you planning to cover all these panels with something? This is a giant metal box of steel. It kind of looks like maybe 1/4" plywood thats screwed to the beams to cover the insulation would give a good barrier to help with noise. Also allow flexibility when traveling on the road. I'm not really sure, just throwing it out there.

Rustoleum rust reformer in the spray can. Dries to a satin black and is very durable. You can top coat it if you want, but don't have to.

Buy some cans of spray foam and spray on the metal then quickly stick the styrofoam section on. It'll cure in minutes not 24 hours for the sealant.

Maybe some strong magnets, piece of bar across with some bolts and fender washers to apply pressure.

My go-pro freezes when I use one battery over the other batteries. Not sure what that is all about. I got a new disk and it stopped for about 5 weeks.

Hey I got a great idea for your ceiling.
Finish putting up all of your insulation board and sealing it with your foam. Then, use a laser leveler to layout a perimeter line so that you can mount a drop ceiling support angles and hang a insulated drop ceiling. It would be a clean look and maybe you could investigate the possibility of also converting fluorescent panels too light emitting diode instead.
Now your ceiling will be double insulated. 🎉

It’s looking good man ! Part of me would’ve said to get the spray foam kit.. and spray the whole thing.. but that kit isn’t cheap and not sure if it would be suitable .

I think I would just spray foam the whole thing. Use the same stuff they use in house walls. And trim it down after.

They do make a foam board adhesive, I believe Loctite makes it.

    • @White000Crow

I believe it’s water based and won’t cure between two non breathable surfaces.

I haven’t had good success with the foam board adhesive. I’d have to go and check to see the brand.. I still have another tube of that garbage.

Have you considered magnets to stick the foam up maybe on either side of a jig instead of the 2x2s?

I don't know if you're aware of you should use power grab that is some good stuff and be a lot cheaper than $60 for that gun insulation
