i went with the powerbomb header rather then the megabomb... it gives it more top end witch is great for motocross but if you do a lot of arena cross or trail riding, go with the megabomb for that gain in bottom
Every thing is good. But he has got the couplers or what ever there called wrong. The white is alot of bottom end for mud and slippery conditoin green is just standard. The black is nasty top end power basically no bottom or mid range power but you need to be holding it wideopen because even at quarter its still in the top end and it will bog. I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE
you ask the person who owned it before and mark that number down somewhere. For example... i buy a used one, the guy says it has six hours on it.... the average top end rebuild time is at least every fifty hours. Take fifty and subtract six... you get 44 hours of good riding time... If the original owner doesnt know rebuild the top end at about when the meter reads thirty hours. hope this helps.
i know this is kind of irrelevant to improving the bikes performance but where if possible could the average joe get a set of dunlops with the yellow walls like that?
the rotor idea is stupid, maby on a heavier 4stroke it works but on my 125 when i need to stop and i hit the brakes, the tire will lock up no matter what rotors are on there and im still going to slide a bit
I worked in a honda/kawi dealer for 5+years and you are so wrong. We never rebuilt a kx450 in the whole time I worked there, honda's on the other hand blew up all the time

I got that renthal sprocket kit and chain and It wore out pretty fast I keep an eye in the tension always, but didn't make much difference

I think it says a lot about Honda if several of the parts replaced on the Kawi are oem Honda parts.
suzuki and yzs have bearings in the chain rollers aswell
only problem with Honda bikes is overall power, but they are some of the most reliable ones. I prefer KTM myself, but Honda is also really good.
