Great demonstration! I wonder if Studio One will support midi key/command shortcuts along with current keyboard shortcuts, so as to use programmable controllers such as KeithMcMillen's QuNeo and/or SoftStep.
I'm using the Atom with the Faderport V2, that's a great combination. :-) How can i control plugins like eq or compressor with the ATOM? 2:20 there's also a Quantize button on the Atom to quantize after recording.
Nice video. And maybe a strange question, but how do you record the audio from Studio One in your video's? I'm struggling around for ages now with S1 and Camtasia and I can't figure out 🤔
Is it possible to process a plugin by Faderport and Atom at the same time or do I have to decide, if I use the Faderport or the Atom? Would be great to use both simultaneously? Thanks
Nicely done Marcus. I am a new S14 and FaderPort 8 user. I have been considering adding the Atom for drum tracking in Impact XT. I was wondering exactly what you covered here, the workflow between the 2 controllers. Looks like a winning combo. Thanks!
@Marcus, Hi Marcus. is it possible to obtain the same function in studio One, as in Cubase. when you touch the faders the SELECT button is assigned automatically. see a short video I made to be clearer. Thank you @
just checking to see if the navigation buttons sometimes not work when you're in the song setup mode when accessing the plug ins in the browser? mine seems to lock up, but works fine in the other areas on the atom in studio 1 4. makin sure I don't have a faulty unit. yep!
I have all the latest drivers install for the atom. using studio 1 4.5, with the latest universal control, and firmware updated on the atom, on windows 10 1903 update. yep.
It would be awesome if the Input Quantize would work in realtime, so that notes are played back quantized. Thats incredible usefull if you like to play arpeggios to a running track. Without that realtime IQ it gets hard to exactly trigger the arpeggios so tthat they are tight. That's how it works in NI Maschine. Especially with faster music.
Too bad the faderport series doesn't have any knobs with visual feedback to edit plugins. I really need something that is knob only to edit any vst / vsti on the fly. For faders my faderport classic is enough, don't need 16 faders. Other big downside is that they are huge for what they do.
I’ve been really getting into Studio One and the ATOM. I would love a Fader Port but they are well overpriced. It’s basically just a midi controller at the end of the day. You can buy a decent digital mixer for the same price.
Marcus, here's a handy faderport tip for scrolling plugins. First, press Shift and F 4 to open the S 1 browser. Now press the F 4 button again. None of the F buttons should be illuminated. Now, the Browser is in focus. Use the big blue encoder to scroll through your plugin folders. The left /right faderport buttons can be used to open and shut the plugin folders to expose the plugins. Unfortunately we can't yet click a plugin to add it to the track
Recently switched to S1 and I must say it’s incredible
Studio One is on another level of greatness. i couldnt be any happier. made the change back in 2015 and ever since i have been a happy man!
I just did it yesterday FROM PRO TOOLS
Also love the way Atom and the Faderport work seamlessly with S1. Just plug the USBs in and instant integration. Great stuff as always. Thank you.
You just answered my question. Lol.
2:29 how did u make it? Quick Repeated hihats?

Just switch to S1 from using logic for 9 years! I just ordered both of these from Sam Ash today after watching this video!
will you be doing similar for Atom SQ?
Love your work btw

I’d love to see atom working with Toontrack software. I have everything and studio5 pro faderportv2. I think the smaller Atom might be good for that

Finally, I could complete the team (Atom + FP)... looking forward to extract some juice... Greetings from Argentina!

Damn Bro your a talent !!
Thank you Marcus

Thank you for the video ... :)
Please make a standalone groovebox, Presonus!

update, atom is working fine in studio 1 4. yep!
When is the CS18ai getting the Hui firmware update?
Great video Marcus!!! One question, I'm interested in the FP 8 or 16. With 4.5, can the data knob on the FP be used to the new trim pots on the mixer?
Troy Valentine I believe on the Faderport 8/16 you press shift and pan, then all the faders turn to trim level.
Of course we found this video useful lol. Nice to see more visuals with your videos Marcus!

You will quickly change your mind once you have one. I couldn't imagine mixing without my faderport 8.
Can you use the Atom for Superior Drummer 3 ? Looking for something to helping to program fills.
Michael Douglas yes it's just a midi controller.

Marcus, have you figured out a way to bypass/enable the sends via the Faderport?
